Lady when I say, you are out here changing my life one video at a time. You are and have been giving me some crazy tips. I started my handbag and shoe collection all over and I’m slowly moving over to my clothing. Mmmcccchhhhtttt…. Pretty soon nobody will be able to tell me nothing.

I had my first child at 39 and now I have retired in May this year at 42 from a long career in aviation. I'm moving into a new space as an older mom with a toddler and my body has changed and so has my closet needs. I have basically decluttered my entire closet and sold all of my luxury bags and shoes. I am completely starting over new and i just need a refresh. I am looking forward to this new phase in my life. I am also planning a major overseas move in 2-3 years with my son so I am also going minimalist.

This is an excellent video! You've hit all of the salient points in the best way I've seen on this platform. As a lover of fashion, it has taken me five years post-retirement to realize that I will never live the same life as I did while working so there are some items that I will never need to purchase again. I'm most comfortable in jeans and a pair of funky flats so now I concentrate on elevated accessories and well made tops and sweaters. Once you figure out how you really live, shopping is a breeze.

In the last 2 months I have donated 90% of my closet which includes shoes. I couldn't fit them so no need for them. I have filled my closet with all new clothes from H&M, Aritzia , Nordstrom etc. Hopefully I have brought all the basics that I was missing along with pieces to create the outfits that will fit with my new style that I'm trying to work on. You are such an inspiration to this grandma

Hi Tashira: I LOVE all your tips! My problem is what I love is always expensive. I do invest in some high end pieces, but in this period of inflation, I have to look for stores/sites that are budget friendly. You want to look good but you also have to have coins so you can go somewhere to look good! 😂😂😂

This is so helpful! I recently had gastric bypass surgery and my body is changing rapidly so once my weight settles where it's going to stay, I will have to start my wardrobe from scratch at a new size. This excellent advice is going to help me so much. Thank you!
Being happy is a habit. Like a hot cup of joe in the a.m., or painting your nails white or wearing sunscreen before heading through the door. Do the do cause it sure looks good on you. Blessings.

This is super useful. I’m not rebuilding my wardrobe until next year when I’m in the best shape ever but I’m already realizing that I need to think about my lifestyle more thoroughly. I’m a full time writer but now I work from home post-pandemic and won’t be going back to an office. I’m definitely starting from scratch so thank you.
I love how your view point isn't just fashion and style. You infuse personal development into personal style and that is a huge part of self elevation that people miss. I've even elevated my pajamas and in home style within the last year. No mo carwash tee shirts 😅

I sooo fall into the first camp! My issue is that I love many different styles and my wardrobe is full of vintage and new pieces that don’t always feel cohesive 😳 The outfit you have on in the video ironically is my go to look - so I guess I’m halfway there 🤣 Great tips as always! 🌻

Great tips as always. You’ve helped me define my style and I’m definitely a simple neutral gworl and now you have me checking fabrics and being thoughtful about the things I buy to ensure they fit into my wardrobe aesthetic. The point about seeing great pieces on other ppl and instead of impulse buying I absolutely adore the item but immediately ask myself is this MY style? And it usually isn’t. Appreciate all the things you’ve shared that have helped me define/name my own style. Thanks for sharing! That essentials set it IT! Had no idea they were at Nordstrom!

Hi T…I’m FOREVER grateful that I found your channel, tribe, and might I say an honorable member of the throthren 😂,,, emerging from the COVID-19 cocoon as a renal administrator whom for 3.5 years had reverted to only scrubs to now needing to jump into office appropriate/administrative wear- I find that your high class/principal vibe speaks to me.
I now find and wear items that bring me joy- beginning with the materials i.e. cotton, linen, silk, viscose, lyocell babieeeeee,,,can’t believe I spent so much $$ on cheap material and not quality!
As a nurse I’m always seeking the best care/materials/procedure that will benefit my patients and prevent relapse, however never took the same viewpoint for my own dress/style/closet,🥹

Just in time!!! I have to start from scratch. I work from home and have a 1 year old. I’m also on a weight loss journey so I am scared to buy new clothes . I noticed everything I own is club outfits , formal workplace or frumpy giant tshirts and pajamas lol. Any tips for what to wear when losing weight?

Know if you are more conservative or more expressive type daily wear or if you like more sassy clothing.
What century you connect with & put a touch of that enter woven in your ward robe. Then go from there!!

Emphasis on the fantasy life style. I work remotely and live in sweats but I am I constantly buying heels and elevated pieces that don't get worn. But I love fashion so so so much and I feel like the clothes I buy represent the life I SHOULD be living and not my reality. I also keep telling myself I'll start a fashion related blog so I'm stocking up in preparation for that I guess? But the imposter syndrome, in addition to my life not being as stable right now is stopping me.
