I have a couple interesting short story collections on my tbr -Flights by Olga Tokarczak (Polish) -Yolk by Josip Novkovich (Croatian) Your dads picks reminded me of a couple collections I've read -Angry Candy by Harlan Ellison -Lovedeath by Dan Simmons I didnt love either but he might enjoy them. Girls Against God by Jenny Hval also sounds like his kind of thing
