I think Zaric Zhakaron had one of the best takes regarding Bethesda's ability. He refers to Bethesda as having a terrible case of "Good Enoughs". When Bethesda was fighting to survive while making Morrowind, good enough was what they needed. Now that Bethesda is considered a AAA developer, their good-enough is now shockingly bad and out-of-date. It's clear that Tod, the senior design team and possibly even higher-ups need to be enlightened as to what they need to do or be replaced.
Bethesda has gone to shit, as evidenced by Starfield, their latest game. When they pivoted towards No NPC’s with Fallout 76, I bounced and never looked back.
No, unfortunately. That take doesn't work, because this is literally every video game company now. Lie about a game's elements on release, release it unfinished, provide ~50% of what is finished over the next two years. Welcome to the _"No Man's Sky_ redeemed itself" era, also known as the Stockholm syndrome era.
@@NorseGraphic I think the current "writing" team of Starfield has been there the whole time. As the original creators and content of TES and Fallout were used up those stories also got worse and worse. Starfield is their first "original" story and it is just revealing the weakness they hid (maybe also from themselves) using the work of past employees.
F04 is bizarre. I still have the bug where the textures, even up close to, never properly render. Leaving extremely low-quality textures for every object on screen.
Okay so I have a few questions because even when I had a 1070 and an old i5-6500 I never ran into this issue (Or any in this video apart from the cars "touch of death"). in the vanilla game, it was only when I added mods that I ran into game breaking bugs, If you're playing on PC what type of drive is the game installed on? HDD or SSD? if its on a HDD then thats the issue install it on an SSD if not then, Are using the "Faster loading time" mod or any mod that does the same thing? If you are delete it, the game takes that long to load for a reason and speeding up the process will cause textures not to load. I know crazy how that works right
It’s so tough to play, especially survival. You can sneak and do everything well then a big occurs gotta redo the entire past 2 hours of play again and again then no more
There's also a bug with power armor where sometimes the power armor doesn't load and it just stretches out the character, was reported almost day 1 in FO4 and got a fix by modders not too long after, and then was reported on launch in FO76. Still happens in 76 by the way even to this day
Dude you missed the worst goddamn bugs Bethesda never fixed. The settlement bugs. The first one is that settlements can only hold so many passively obtained resources at a time, so to stop it overflowing and breaking your game, settlers will stop farming and scavenging. This renders settlers unemployed and the game also randomly thinks there's no power, beds, defence or food and water at the settlement either. Settlements will then just slowly get unhappy and leave the minutemen unless you constantly visit them and open the workshop to remind them
If you do not take Red Rocket + Abernathy Farm, then you will never get this bug. Sanctuary + Red Rocket + Abernathy Farm is known as the "Triangle of Death", as all 3 settlements occupy the same cell. Similarly, Covenant and Taffington Boathouse. There is a workaround, just build up one of the settlements, and have no settlers or food + water in the otthers. Some of the named setttlers can not be moved to other settlements, but they can be assigned as provisioners, which removes the need to build food and water in their "home" settlement.
My favorite is the one where I have a million defense rating in a settlement and yet it still gets attacked and fails to defend itself...in Far Harbor...on Survival Mode...while I'm in the Commonwealth.
@@TheMasterMind144 haha I always head cannon it that theyre just like little kids trying to impress dad. All you do is stand there while the turrets obliterate the enemy, but you have to WATCH it obliterate them.
I recently got back into Fallout 4 after modding Skyrim extensively. TESV lodgen was so easy for me - download billboards, press buttons in DynDoLod, activate in MO2. Fallout 4 must require a blood sacrifice or some other Eldritch incantation because I just cannot get a decent LOD without my PC deciding to take off 😂
@@gemgemjibabaloo there is a modder out there on the nexus who's upscaling textures using AI, anyway i wonder if he could create a generator that uses procedural generation and AI to upscale lower res LOD to make it appear high rez, there is a lot of cool shit being created right now using AI, and i hope it advances us further than ever thought possible and continues to move forward.
yea I'm trying to get a simple lod to work I don't have to many mods that add stuff i think south of the sea and America rising but I can't get it right.
@@leahvaris769 LOD stands for level of detail, as in level of detail in the world. When objects are far away from the player, the game doesn't load everything in high res like it does when you're up close to them (e.g. looking down at the map from the throat of the world and Whiterun looks like Lego). There are various community tools like DynDOLoD you can use to replace the games base LoD textures with ones that are much higher res. I would recommend looking up GamerPoets guide on it, after you.generate your own LoD a couple of times the process is a breeze
One of the biggest "BUGs" in the game is the "triangle of death", as I only realised yesterday! It means that if you build too many settlements in the top 3 settlements on the map (Sanctuary/Abernaty Farm/Red Rocket), the Fallout engine will shut down and the game will simply crash to desktop (CTD) without an error message. For example, I had the mod "Sim Settlements 1" installed and it crashed constantly as soon as I got anywhere near Sanctuary. I think it's ridiculous that the problem hasn't been fixed yet, because it can happen quickly even without a mod.
power scaling is also a issue they never fixed, once you are above lvl 100 pretty much evrybody turns into a dmg sponge and even stealh guner can't help you very much as crit calulation is a dice roll
Yeah that's one of the reasons I use the TiFA mod. Tonys Immersive Fallout Overhaul. Once you start getting into higher levels you actually start running into super mutant overlords and behemoths that can take a full mini nuke to the face and shrug it off like a bad rash. The damage sponge enemies do not make the game more challenging, just annoying.
I think why the bullet sponge exist is because Fallout is an RPG game. Remember in Final Fantasy almost all the bosses are bullet sponge and it took 13 hours to beat it for example Yiazmat
I legit cannot play fo4 without a mod that sets everyone's health to 100 and makes headshots lethal, except for mutants and other creatures. Mirelurk queens are the only bullet sponges left, as they should be.
I'll never understand the choice of enemies doing more damage while you do less, especially if they scale with you in level. Doesn't make sense for me to take out an enemy with 3 magazines worth of ammo while they can take you out with 2 to 3 hits.
Also the save bug, when I play FO4 on the PS5, it's not uncommon to get a "you don't have enough system memory to save your progress". Meanwhile you will have like 400GB spare.
regarding the survival mode freeze: you have to enter vats as the effect is added to you in order to freeze the game. it happened to me so often that i preemptively ate and drank before every encounter as this bug took tens of hours of progress from me. the worst part is that some of these effects are triggered sooner with every battle you encounter, with every enemy that you aggro. This was so much fun i never used VATS in survival mode ever again.
Seen a couple of these now, and two bugs come to mind: VATS not executing melee weapon hits properly and just eating up that precious AP, sometimes being the difference between life and death And enemy bugs using Endure to hold onto 1 HP and going invincible while you can only wait for them to die while trying not to get killed yourself
The Bug that happens occasionally when using Jet or any Jet based Drug. Your Player Character get's knocked out of the Slowmo and you can't use Jet anymore. Seems to happen way more often than the occasional glitch when using the Bullet Time mod.
Great Video i can help you to make a second part with a list of other bugs: -All the 4 level merchant are bugged (specially Larry Smiles, Ron Starples, Tina de Luca and Rylee) -Sometimes the textures doesnt charge even if you are pretty close in that area (to me it happens in vault 111 and because of that i cant Take the Cryolator) - Curie is bugged too, she dissapears from the game (sometimes she goes to the medic room in vault 81 but not my case) -Once You reach lvl 100 or above enemies are a sponge of bullets even with all the damage by sneak and critical hits perks and a legendary weapon you are no longer to one shot a simple ghoul lol -Sometimes the Settlers would reset and they are gonna stop their work so you are gonna select and put them again in their areas one by one -there is one special encounter where a woman sells you a brahman, when that happens she probably gonna stay in that place forever and she'll ruin that spawn of special encounters (happen to me in Med Teck) - i think this is only in consoles but if you dont make a Hard save once in a while, your save its gonna corrupt -if you go to Downtown Boston your game gonna frezze or crashes - Sometimes The Dialogue of travis bugged and he will say the same thing over and over again even if you finish the principal quest - The vertibirds and their stupid AI funny sometimes but really annoying in survival
@@salvadorcastillo4537 idk if this helps you but whenever i want to play Fallout 4 i turn off the internet connection of my ps4 and that really helps (for some reason) with the crashes specially in that area
It always amazed me that a bunch of independent volunteer modders can produce a better, more modern game than Todd Howard could with a proverbial army of full-time staff.
It’s not surprising, like we see with many big titles like no man’s sky and Skyrim, companies tend to rush games, and willingly release undeveloped games, they’re lucky it’s only a matter of time until they release a bad game that is bugging and rushed
Have anyone noticed the Railroad bug where it's possible to never get ability to use ballistic weave on normal clothes items. It's very powerful especially in Survival mode. Yet if you don't do all the quests in sequence, Tom will never tell you that you can use BW... Then that save is ruined for the rest of the play through. Anyone els notice?
You gain the ability to apply ballistic weave after the first DIA cache quest, all you have to do is talk to Tinker Tom after you have completed it. If you ignore Tinker Tom then you will never have ballistic weave. This "fix" bears repeating, Talk to Tinker Tom after completing the first DIA cache quest, even if you have to initiate conversations multiple times.
I maxxed out Ballistic Weave on a Courser outfit, and gave it to my companion (Carla, from Outcasts and Remnants mod) - with a pair of shades and a military beret, she looks super-cool! Not relevant to your comment - just felt like saying it!
Wow, you didn’t even mention the day 1 bug that can cause Danse to become unrecruitable if you get close enough to Cambridge to hear his gunshots, but don’t go over and help him.
The total lock-up near the Greentech building has continually wrecked my enjoyment of the main quest line. It doesn't happen so much during the first play through of a new install, but after that it will lock up anywhere in the vicinity of the building, including when Danse takes you in the vertibird.
When i first play fallout 4 on xbox with mods i have same problem, basicly hole center of boston was place where game crashed all the time but area around cit ruins was the worst because every time when going close enough game crashed everytime.
Who can forget the wonderful quest breaking quest of the Cabot family quest line? The one where you have to find the baby sister of the family, and if you already visited the place where she is before the quest, she magically disappears from the world and breaks all other quests with the Cabot family.
IIRC, there is a mod that brings the Brotherhood into the Commonwealth so long as you complete the initial quest at Arcjet. They will fly in at some set point after completing that quest with this mod active.
We all know that at most the next gen update will fix the CC content crashing everything and anything... And change it from a massive quest dump at a new game to being more organic. Basically the same they did with Skyrim. EDIT: They *might* fix the energy weapon thing too... Only because they already did that for 76. Apparently.
You missed the huge bug where items placed in a settlement can interfere with navmesh in completely different settlements. There is a mod that fixes this, but it was one of the largest issues with settlements and was not diagnosed until the last year. Also, that "weapons debris" can CTD the game easily, especially with older AMD cards.
That energyweapon thing is crazy. I noticed that from the start back when the game released. Energyweapons in both New Vegas and Fallout 3 are very strong but in F4 very very weak.
My favourie example of a Bethesda bug is wandering Skyrim mannequins. The game has been out for over a decade, been released on many platforms, and the simple fix is making the "mannikin" race to be immobile. Why couldn't Bethesda have done that? Why do modders have to fix all of their bugs? Why are Unofficial Patches required for all BGS games? I enjoy BGS games, but it really is ridiculous.
I did not see this one on either videos. In the quarry while flooded there is an area were you will walk and stand as if your no longer underwater. I have no idea how long this has been in the game, its one of the small rooms i just forgot which one.
I’m going to add on a few bugs that weren’t mentioned in the video that I find pretty annoying. 1. Vault 111’s door just not opening. This is either due to a mod conflict or more commonly a creation club conflict. 2. Codsworth not working as intended when first talking to him. His Ai will just break if you have too many quests. This is very apparent when you have all creation club installed. This is easily avoided by just not talking to him and coming back after saving the Minutemen but it’s still annoying nonetheless. 3. Can’t pick up the minigun during the quest “When Freedom Calls”. Well technically you can pick it up but the quest will not continue basically soft locking the quest and all of the Minutemen questline.
Yes I had the codworth problem too smh. Now I have the problem on the right side of the downtown Boston area where good neighbor and that whole area around it freezes on me. It pisses me off because I can’t explore that area and there’s a lot of enemies and places to explore and I can’t even walk there without the game freezing!!
@@gilgamecha I don’t believe the video was specifically talking about the base game. Plus the creation club was made by Bethesda and any bugs associated with it is there issue to fix. And because the title is “Bugs Bethesda failed to fix” my complaints are still valid.
@@gilgamecha So is DLC. If Far Harbor had game breaking bugs In it and Bethesda did nothing about it, people should have the right to complain about it. It’s the same with Creation Club. Bethesda even marketed it as Mini DLC. Idk why you are upset with me pointing out bugs that i found annoying and I don’t appreciate you trying to undermine my complaints.
Reminder that they fixed the Save>Reload to bypass companion affinity cooldown, BEFORE any of the stuff present on this video... Something that did not break the game in way shape or form, and actually made it more bearable just because they didn't want you to get max affinity by swapping mods.
Was surprised that the bug where alt-tabbing in fullscreen while in a loading screen changes the resolution of menus but not the main game wasn't in here
It's 2024 and Deadthesda broke their promise. Imagine that. If they do anything with Fallout 4 this year, they'll ruin it like they did Skyrim by trying to suck more money out of people without fixing the real problems.
Here's a bug that I've never seen before. I recently started a new game on very hard mode, but apparently the game thinks that I'm playing on survival mode because there is no perk that allows you to fast travel when over encumbered. In its place is a perk that allows you to take no damage while over encumbered.
when the fight music never stops even long after the fight when the music started and you're not fighting. you're safe but it's still playing the fighting music.
I like the bug where you use the moise wheel to go from 3rd to 1st person while walking and the inside of your characters gives you an unsettling subliminal jumpscare.
I started again over the years and when i did take to elevator where that terminal is my game just stuck infinite elevetor ride. at least second time i come back there elevator did work right and got to prydwen to show up.
I knew I had managed to leave Fort Hagen without the BOS spawning --- I've tried several times to recreate that, but it has locked the doors behind me so I can't go back the way I came. Maybe I somehow got a fix for that bug? Or maybe I was just lucky that one time...
I actually had #7 with the prydwin not showing up on my first play through. I had a friend of mine on the phone and was very confused when he was hyping the moment up only for it to bug out and not happen. Later when I sided with the railroad and tried to fly to the pridwin, it flew to the Boston airport and then headed north for a half hour… fun

I found a fix to that which made the game stable, but I did have to go into the .ini files and change stuff and I also turned off godrays. I still avoid anything that could result in crashes, such as going way above build limit in settlements, and I save the game at every opportunity, but I got the game into a state that enables Survival as viable game mode. Thank god, I enjoy that mode more than anything else in F4.
Also in third vs first person, the aiming is off. I could be hitting bullseyes in first person, switch to third and my my bullets are suddenly 5 feet to the left and up.
I switched back to 16:9 after so many years of using my lovely 21:9 monitor because of shitty developers (outside of games too). I get no ultrawide support as developers really didn't care about them back then, but problems on 4:3? Like how's that not tested? I always mod my games if I can, so I didn't even know the game actually was not limited to 60 FPS. I have a 170 Hz monitor and it would've driven me crazy if I hadn't installed the High FPS Physics Fix. It is astonishing that no single developer had a different refresh rate monitor. Not even a single 75 or 72 Hz one laying around in the office?
It's probably because ultrawide monitors are an extreme minority, to the point where even most developers wouldn't have them because they just aren't that common
#3. We had this exact same issue when I programmed physics in games. The problem was the person who wrote the code didn't understand the conservation of momentum and collisions are two equations, not one. So they just conserved momentum. So a 200lb man traveling 5mph = 100 and a 2000lb car traveling .5 mph == 1000 momentum cause you nugged it, gets balance then applied to both objects. Result is it treats the man walking into the car the same as the car driving into the man. Insta kill. I've corrected this on more than a few games. #5 That decaling should have been done on the shader tree and not with geom on the surface. I also notice, not matter how much I level or level up VATS I just completely miss easy shots. Sniper rifle at less than 20 feet and the target is not moving and I totally miss.
I have done 3 playthroughs trying to finish the game with brotherhood of steel and every time i get stuck at the quest liberty reprimed at the part where the girl in power armor should lead you to the airport but shes always stuck in one place and doesnt talk and wont move. I have tried everything from resting cell reseting killing her and reloading older save nothing works at all and it just frustrates me so much i love the game but honestly when this happens i jus wanna call it quits
Any time i dropped my resolution low the map stopped working It would get stuck at the top and you wouldn't be able to fast travel or see where you were
So i decidee to test out if the railroad quest is still possible if you do the "No Brotherhood terminal glitch" And it turns out Tinker Tom will just infinitely fly around the map and eventually just travel out of bounds untill you reload a save
I’m having a glitch in the mission “the dig” I completed up until it’s time to get paid and Bobbi just repeats the same voice line every time I interact with her. Any ideas?
I just started fallout4 on PS5 for the first time. There’s a known bug in Concord where the enemies won’t spawn in for you to be able to clear them out of the town. Literally tried for hours to work around it and apparently only fix is to start the campaign again 😅
When I boot up my game I have nice crisp textures for my armor and weapons but once I fast travel they go to shit they get really blurry,'not sure what causes it.
There is a Nuka World bug where if you don't do the Kiddy Kingdom quest in order and go to King Cola's castle before going to the Fun House or the tunnels first it will soft lock the quest and Oswold will just stand there. Also if you sell Lorenzo's artifact gun it can causes crashing. I ended up trying FO4 on PS4 and it is just a broken mess. Constant crashing and it's completely vanilla
My favourite bug that i encountered in survival 1. Don't talk to paladine danse before killing Kellogg 2. Kill Kellogg 3. Congratulations! Now you can't join the brotherhood because danse gonna think there's still ghouls alive and not gonna talk with you
Hey man, any plans for a WARS / PEACE review? I've been playing these 2 on a new save with no other mods. It changes a ton, I actually really like these 2 mods. Removes the terrible "Sneak+MrSandman+Ninja" builds and NPCs are frequently running out of ammo. This makes it so you prioritize the "big enemies" such as Ack-Ack because if she wastes all her ammo, you can't collect that sweet sweet minigun ammunition off her. I've also interacted with lots more mechanics that I usually ignore such as renting rooms from Yefim because I'm too broke to afford homeplate and don't have enough resources to fully establish a settlement. Ammo scarcity and the weight reduction from PEACE makes it so I'm only going out with what I need and not looting much because I can't afford to haul it around... so that 100/200 caps I get from a quest feels worth it. Usually by midgame I have ammo and caps galore. Anyway if you ever do review these, you should definitely play them together. I tried just WARS and didn't enjoy it until I used PEACE alongside it.
Unfortunately mods like these, inevitably lead to the even worse PA+melee+PowerTrain builds, as that is the only viable build for taking out some of the stronger enemies. Using guns in combat becomes less and less viable, because you have to keep running back to a trader for more ammo.
what about the game running like ass when in anything but full screen mode also the bug where when you start a new game the game will never load and be in a eternal loading screen, the only way I have found around this bug is to download a save game and load it.
I tried playing survival sometimes yes I’d pick a fight I’m to weak to win, but getting stuck between things or just flat out survival was the worst doing everything perfect only for the game to bug out and for a restart
I played Fallout 4 for the first time last month (xbox) and I really liked it as soon as I bought the DLCs I had never seen my game crash so much I was forced to use mods to improve this now my game instead of crashing 200 times it crashes 180 times

@Pancuronium, the Energy Weapons Bug is why I use Custom Legendary Modifications and use the Cheat Terminal to make Custom Weapons. Laser Rifle with Assault Rifle Suppressor, or Laser Musket with Laser Sniper Barrel, the Gauss Suppressor or Assault Rifle Suppressor (some reason it gives it Ballistic Damage without adding one of the Legendary effects from Custom Legendary Modifications), Try screwing around with the Cheat Terminal and see what you can come up with if you like, some of your viewers may like it who knows. Any Mod on Any Weapon is bugged and causes CTDs, and that started 4 years before XBOX Series X even was announced.

I always had two main problem with the game, a gameplay and a quest. The mouse moves slower on the Y-axis than the X-axis so I had to go into fallout 4 ini file with notepad++ and double the Y-axis mouse sensitivity. There is a quest that is always broken is where you have to find Emogene cabot. Whenever I open the door she is not there. I literally had to open console and enter these commands: ssq ms09 prid 47ec4 ForceRefIntoAlias emogeneOld ForceRefIntoAlias emogene MoveTo 518ce enable
It would just be for the best if you all go through The Midnight Ride, a guide on modding the game and follow it to the base finish that will include just about everything you need for a perfectly stable game. Then go wild if you want with mods.
No kidding! First time I killed Kellogg I left the building the way I came, and kept playing normally, until at some point during the quest where I needed to build the relay some NPC suggested I seek help from the Brotherhood, and I went to the Cambridge police station and Danse didn't have any special dialogue. Then I had to go to the wiki and got even more confused, since the quest description mentioned the Boston airport. I went there, cleared all the ferals, but ofc no Brotherhood there. After a lot of questions in the Steam forum I finally realized what went wrong and then returned to Fort Hagen in order to trigger the Pridwen. Would it be so hard for Bethesda to simply set Kellogg's death as the trigger for that script? Or then just permanently lock the doors behind you so you are forced to use the rooftop exit? So many questions...
There's a security door that's supposed to lock behind you when you get near Kellogg, but it often doesn't work. There's a more rare bug where it can lock too early if you leave Fort Hagen halfway through and try to come back, which softlocks the entire main quest unless you tcl or find a glitch to get through the door. It's funny that Kellogg taunts you and tells you to leave throughout the whole Fort Hagen sequence, but if you actually follow his advice you risk making the main quest unfinishable. It's terrible design all the way around, because they could have made the Prydwen appear regardless of what exit you use, and then there would be no need for the locked door in the first place.
I have never come across or even heard of this glitch with the Vats corrupting all of your save game, like it doesn't even make sense how it would destroy any of your other saves, if it destroys any save at that point it's the current one you're using, again I've never run into this and all the time I've played that game.
However I do have a theory and how it could possibly happen, the longer you play the game the slower the game saves become, which is just an unfortunate truth which causes some significant issues down the road the longer you play, there's really no way to fix this, it's the same reason why Starfield for example have a corrupt save after certain period of time playing the game, one thing that causes this issue a lot is autosaves that save over the same save file, again that's not anything they can fix, so in starfield's understanding the only way to fix this was to do the New Game Plus, because it took what you had in your previous game file and it basically started a new game fresh save but giving you all of your stats from the previous time when you beat the game, that's the only way they can help make it work, which makes me wonder if something can be done in the middle of a playthrough where you're saved can just renew itself as if it was a new game except for it stays where you are in your progress instead of completely refreshing the whole game, don't know if anything like that it's possible though, I remember asking a similar question to a modder who creates Alt start mods, and he said that there's a lot of scripting that you have to figure out that is very complicated in order to make something like that possible, he's been able to do it to a degree with very short excited ability to achieve that goal, like for example he might be able to skip the beginning sequence of the game, but he can't skip half the story and start you at some later quest in the game, that was for Skyrim maybe it's different in other games I don't know, but I'm thinking the file structure is roughly the same from that understanding.
I’ve tried to play this game three separate times and deleted it. The first two times it just felt boring but since I like the other games I gave it a third chance and it crashed every time I went to Boston even after adding fps increasing mods so I just deleted it again last week and give up on it unless they can fix it in the update or I get an amazing pc.
I got myself a 75hz monitor and didn't think about how now FO4 will run at 75 frames for me. Limited the frames to 60 in the gpu options, but now I'm afraid to install the thingy that unlocks FPS in loading screens cause I'm worried it will conflict with that, and every time I exit an interior cell I have to sit and twiddle my thumbs or play with a rubik's cube for a whole minute or two. Also you forgot to mention the quarry LOD bug
Nvidia's or AMD's software should keep the fps locked at 60 regardless of what any mod does. But you don't need that tweak anymore, High FPS Physics Fix and Long Loading Times Fix are updated to the latest "next-gen" version. I ran the game at 120 with no problems while making this week's garbage video.
I find it hilarious that they updated a nearly decade old game to "Fix" bugs and "improve" performance. Yet all they actually did was add lackluster Creation Club content for free and break their entire player bases saves, files, and mods, all while somehow making the game run even worse... and get this, failing to fix the majority of bugs they intended to fix in the first place, which molders had already dealt with.

i have never run into that bug that kills you when you disturb the physics of cars, i have walked next to cars and watched their physics make the car adjust to you being next to it, but never blow up and kill me lol. i have also never run into the glitch that makes you faster in 1st person and slower in 3rd person, however i have run into a delay walking glitch in 3rd person, when your players animation won't function when trying to walk forward, because your player character is in the middle of an animation shift and when that shift is finished it finally gives you back control. honestly i could care less about ultra wide support lol, that's never been something i want in games in general, if it was i would set my tv's screen to that ratio, but i never use that feature because i like using what i can see and i don't like the stupid black bars on the top and bottom of my screen, i like full screen gaming non of that half squinted full screen nonsense. i have also never run into the invisible lock screen bug either, man, your running into a lot of bugs i have never seen, and this game has a lot of bugs that are more common than the ones listed. now this isn't really a bug, but a personal annoyance with FO4 that i had from the beginning, the game had no FOV slider that positioned itself for different circumstances, i searched for a long ass time to find one for myself that actually worked because of some dumb choices bethesda did in the creation of FO4, don't get me wrong, i'm sure on paper it was a good idea to make your PIP-BOY and your arm visible to the player, but it wasn't very practical because it made it harder to see anything in your inventory when using it, everything was crazy far away so before i found a good FOV mod i had to open my damn console and set that bullshit when needed, that was super annoying, i don't need to see my damn arm and my pipboy i need to see what's in my inventory so i can play the fucking game! i agree with your 60fps comments, bethesda need to bypass that issue with all their games into the future, i mean they have for starfield, but they still have some poorly optimized games and that includes starfield in that demographic where people with the best of the best hardware were still struggling to get over 60fps at launch of starfield, unless they were using DLSS, in that case they will be running at least at 120fps tops, but i ultimately agree all of their games need to have this as a standard moving forward.
@@NorseGraphicI agree.. the downfall of an industry legend
Have you tried to uninstall the game

You can sneak and do everything well then a big occurs gotta redo the entire past 2 hours of play again and again then no more
We need Ron Pearlman to say: "Bethesda, Bethesda never changes"
@@wolfen210959 what the actual hell?? Haha I cannot believe that actually works. God I just want to build there why can't Bethesda fix this??

Generating LODs for FO4 is almost pure alchemy. Amazing that you got it to work!
I recently got back into Fallout 4 after modding Skyrim extensively. TESV lodgen was so easy for me - download billboards, press buttons in DynDoLod, activate in MO2. Fallout 4 must require a blood sacrifice or some other Eldritch incantation because I just cannot get a decent LOD without my PC deciding to take off 😂
@@gemgemjibabaloo
there is a modder out there on the nexus who's upscaling textures using AI, anyway i wonder if he could create a generator that uses procedural generation and AI to upscale lower res LOD to make it appear high rez, there is a lot of cool shit being created right now using AI, and i hope it advances us further than ever thought possible and continues to move forward.
yea I'm trying to get a simple lod to work I don't have to many mods that add stuff i think south of the sea and America rising but I can't get it right.
Newb here ...what's a lod?😅
Building settlements inside of settlements? Sorry, how does that work?
As in building up AF, RR, and Sanctuary
"8 Bethesda to for bugs failed squash 8 years!" is somehow still parseable.
Bethesda failed to fix the thumbnail wording bug.
Hahaha I was thinking that
power scaling is also a issue they never fixed, once you are above lvl 100 pretty much evrybody turns into a dmg sponge and even stealh guner can't help you very much as crit calulation is a dice roll
I rather they just stop leveling after 50
Yeah that's one of the reasons I use the TiFA mod.
They also never fixed the bug where the Vault 111 door won't open, essentially making the entire game unplayable
On console, there is still the ghost space issue where the game falesly claims we don't have enough memory to install a mod.
Also the save bug, when I play FO4 on the PS5, it's not uncommon to get a "you don't have enough system memory to save your progress".
Meanwhile you will have like 400GB spare.
LOL , you thought that you can mod FO4 on console?? Go rebuild your database now
They FINALLY fixed it with the new update and i am so happy
The bumper cars glitch is so much worse than the Halo: CE physics, and that's saying something.
regarding the survival mode freeze: you have to enter vats as the effect is added to you in order to freeze the game. it happened to me so often that i preemptively ate and drank before every encounter as this bug took tens of hours of progress from me. the worst part is that some of these effects are triggered sooner with every battle you encounter, with every enemy that you aggro. This was so much fun i never used VATS in survival mode ever again.
Seen a couple of these now, and two bugs come to mind:
VATS not executing melee weapon hits properly and just eating up that precious AP, sometimes being the difference between life and death
And enemy bugs using Endure to hold onto 1 HP and going invincible while you can only wait for them to die while trying not to get killed yourself
My favourite is the permanent negative perception if concussed and using medx or something like that
The Bug that happens occasionally when using Jet or any Jet based Drug. Your Player Character get's knocked out of the Slowmo and you can't use Jet anymore. Seems to happen way more often than the occasional glitch when using the Bullet Time mod.
Great Video i can help you to make a second part with a list of other bugs:
-All the 4 level merchant are bugged (specially Larry Smiles, Ron Starples, Tina de Luca and Rylee)
-Sometimes the textures doesnt charge even if you are pretty close in that area (to me it happens in vault 111 and because of that i cant Take the Cryolator)
- Curie is bugged too, she dissapears from the game (sometimes she goes to the medic room in vault 81 but not my case)
-Once You reach lvl 100 or above enemies are a sponge of bullets even with all the damage by sneak and critical hits perks and a legendary weapon you are no longer to one shot a simple ghoul lol
-Sometimes the Settlers would reset and they are gonna stop their work so you are gonna select and put them again in their areas one by one
-there is one special encounter where a woman sells you a brahman, when that happens she probably gonna stay in that place forever and she'll ruin that spawn of special encounters (happen to me in Med Teck)
- i think this is only in consoles but if you dont make a Hard save once in a while, your save its gonna corrupt
-if you go to Downtown Boston your game gonna frezze or crashes
- Sometimes The Dialogue of travis bugged and he will say the same thing over and over again even if you finish the principal quest
- The vertibirds and their stupid AI funny sometimes but really annoying in survival
That downtown Boston thing is fucking annoying. I can't go to jack Cabots house at ALL

It always amazed me that a bunch of independent volunteer modders can produce a better, more modern game than Todd Howard could with a proverbial army of full-time staff.

I can't believe that someone was able to fix the energy weapon bug. Wow...
Only reason I use energy weapons now is to use up the ammo.
Oh yeah, you clear the ghouls and you can't click him cause one ghoul is still hiding or it just won't complete the mission.
I used it and ended up with two Prydwens, one to use as normal and a second one slightly out to sea.
We all know that at most the next gen update will fix the CC content crashing everything and anything...
And change it from a massive quest dump at a new game to being more organic.
Basically the same they did with Skyrim.
EDIT: They *might* fix the energy weapon thing too... Only because they already did that for 76. Apparently.
"8 Bethesda To For Bugs Failed Sqaush 8 Years!" Love the thunmanil, no idea what the vidoes about yet but damn calss
What this means : "weapons debris" ?
I appreciate how honest your videos are
Thanks for the helpful review, I probably would never have known this without you in such an original presentation.
These are all mod/CC issues not base game issues.
@@gilgamecha I don’t believe the video was specifically talking about the base game. Plus the creation club was made by Bethesda and any bugs associated with it is there issue to fix. And because the title is “Bugs Bethesda failed to fix” my complaints are still valid.
@@ArcticPenguin17 all Creation Club content is optional and if you install enough of it you WILL get game ending bugs.

8 Bethesda to for
Bugs failed squash 8 YEARS!
Any time i dropped my resolution low the map stopped working
It would get stuck at the top and you wouldn't be able to fast travel or see where you were
So i decidee to test out if the railroad quest is still possible if you do the "No Brotherhood terminal glitch"
And it turns out Tinker Tom will just infinitely fly around the map and eventually just travel out of bounds untill you reload a save
Nothing more fun than getting stuck walking towards a computer terminal.

2. Kill Kellogg
If all goes well, you'll see it on November 28th.

9:40 ooohhh, so that's why the brotherhood never appeared on my old playthrough...
now I could be wrong but I remember trying to leave fort hagen from the way I came in but a door was locked blocking that way
8 yrs later and I'm still stuck in a death loop with no enemies in sight
Just use stims right before Vats to get the freeze bug
I just tried that trick, and I still can't get it to trigger. Very odd.
@@PancuroniumB stims or chems will make u thirsty, maybe rad away, as that will give bith hunger and fatige. The key is to vats before the drawback appear.
I have three warning signals at Sanctuary that lead to an empty house in my settlement and they never go away 😢
I literally had to open console and enter these commands:
ssq ms09
prid 47ec4
ForceRefIntoAlias emogeneOld
ForceRefIntoAlias emogene
MoveTo 518ce
enable
"displayed with some highly cinematic back bars"
The door to Kelloggs house has always bugged me😂
It would just be for the best if you all go through The Midnight Ride, a guide on modding the game and follow it to the base finish that will include just about everything you need for a perfectly stable game.
Okay, then that's what happen to me, I was running past a car and my character just died. I was trying to think of what happened.
LOD is such a nightmare and FNV's LOD tools are at least user friendly, can't imagine fucking with fo4 lods
Man, i just want to build in my settlements, it crashes when i either build or scrap
I read the thumbnail as "8 Bethesda to for bugs squash 8 years!"
I ran the game at 120 with no problems while making this week's garbage video.
so energy weapons should be stronger? and playable?
i mean they are usable but this calculation bug riuns them in the late game
Check directhit mod, it fixing it.
@@WafelixRoxi will go with his recommendation but thanks anyway
@@ZE1WHO1 but he recommended them already on this channel lol. :D
@@WafelixRox oh then i should watch more of his videos
Hey pancuronium, do you run with scourge and direct hit together?
Everyone should run modded F4 with scourge and directhit together, it's such an extremely well made couple for each other.
Yep, I agree.
Yup, I agree. Combine it with Deadeye, and it's a balanced tarkovish fallout mess.
4:43 i must be lucky, i have over 1000 hours in this game and never got killed by a car, i have bumped them making them jump but havent been killed by them
I’ve gotten killed by them a countless amount of times at this point. I’ve even died once because I kicked a crate into a car that got launched back towards me lmao. My characters are magneto or something.
maybe its a graphics thing??? my settings are very low...potato low...othertwise the game just is unplayable with to little fps...meanwhile i can play halo 4 just fine on high graphical settings...i dotn know man, fallout 4 is just whack! @@swolekoz
Glitchfinder put out a fix for number 7 on this video's list. I don't have the link handy.
i have never run into that bug that kills you when you disturb the physics of cars, i have walked next to cars and watched their physics make the car adjust to you being next to it, but never blow up and kill me lol.
i have also never run into the glitch that makes you faster in 1st person and slower in 3rd person, however i have run into a delay walking glitch in 3rd person, when your players animation won't function when trying to walk forward, because your player character is in the middle of an animation shift and when that shift is finished it finally gives you back control.
honestly i could care less about ultra wide support lol, that's never been something i want in games in general, if it was i would set my tv's screen to that ratio, but i never use that feature because i like using what i can see and i don't like the stupid black bars on the top and bottom of my screen, i like full screen gaming non of that half squinted full screen nonsense.
i have also never run into the invisible lock screen bug either, man, your running into a lot of bugs i have never seen, and this game has a lot of bugs that are more common than the ones listed.
now this isn't really a bug, but a personal annoyance with FO4 that i had from the beginning, the game had no FOV slider that positioned itself for different circumstances, i searched for a long ass time to find one for myself that actually worked because of some dumb choices bethesda did in the creation of FO4, don't get me wrong, i'm sure on paper it was a good idea to make your PIP-BOY and your arm visible to the player, but it wasn't very practical because it made it harder to see anything in your inventory when using it, everything was crazy far away so before i found a good FOV mod i had to open my damn console and set that bullshit when needed, that was super annoying, i don't need to see my damn arm and my pipboy i need to see what's in my inventory so i can play the fucking game!
i agree with your 60fps comments, bethesda need to bypass that issue with all their games into the future, i mean they have for starfield, but they still have some poorly optimized games and that includes starfield in that demographic where people with the best of the best hardware were still struggling to get over 60fps at launch of starfield, unless they were using DLSS, in that case they will be running at least at 120fps tops, but i ultimately agree all of their games need to have this as a standard moving forward.
