Wow, this Continental Mark ll is spectacular!!! It has been restored to perfection & looks like a brand new car!!! I love these cars & this beauty is perfect!!! Thank you for showcasing this lovely Continental & I hope that all is going well with you!!! 👍👍🙂
I love the wat the tail light assembly swivels out to expose the gas filler tube as well as the knights helmet swivels for trunk lock key access! Beautiful sculpture!
The days when it was easy to get in and out of a car 😊. Great colours to choose from back then, unlike today. Every time I see 50’s cars I wish I owned one again 😊
I own a 1956 MKII C2436. It seems like fiction but it came to Brazil OK in 1956. Legend has it that it was white and was painted blue in the USA before shipping to Brazil, as another MKII had recently arrived in the country owned by the company Matarazzo and it was white. . The owner of C2436 didn't like having one of the most exclusive cars in the world where there were only two in Brazil and they were white. PS: translating into English by my friend Google
One of the most beautiful cars ever produced -BUT- I've never understood why a car of this caliber didn't have A/C as standard equipment - I know if I would've shelled out the BIG bucks for one of these back then I would've expected standard A/C! Also, why did they put an armrest in the back seat but not the front seat - I would imagine the vast majority of these MK II's rarely had back seat passengers. I also think the dash was sorta plain jane for this price range.
Ok….the car sold for $75,000. When new, it cost around $10,000. So in inflation adjusted dollars the buyer paid (before any buyer premiums) around 66% of original cost. Beautiful car….just not what I would consider a collectors car.
What a fantastic color❤
Stunning! 👍👍
1956-57 Continentals are classic
Perfect musical score.
Equisite!
This design was 20 years ahead of it's time. A beautiful car.
Still one of the best looking automobiles on the planet, I believe !
I totally agree!

What a gorgeous car. These late 50s prestigious cars were well advanced for their time
Looks awesome 😎👍
Beautifully designed car! Elegant simplicity. I remember it had several hand rubbed paint coats and was very expensive to produced.
When cars are restored "right," they're hard to beat; particularly cars from say 1940-1966.

A total Gem

$10,000 in 1956 is equivalent to $112,774 in today’s dollars. 😳
Stunning and its beauty, the Continental represents the pinnacle of automobile design and craftsmanship.
This one is a non-air conditioned model. Love those chrome plates on the inside door jam and on the door.
I noticed that also, you'd think a car costing as much as a house back then would've come with A/C as standard!
This car probably is better than when it was new. Those shutlines! That paint ,smooooth!!
Green is my favorit color! I also love Mark 2's!😊
Beautiful
It's like a grown up t bird coupe, but it's all grown up. Definitely fit for true Elegance
Looks amazing 😃👍
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CARS EVER MADE ON THE PLANET 🌎. JUST NEEDS FULL COVER FENDER SKIRTS AND IT WOULD POP AND STAND OUT BIG TIME
I like the license plate 🇨🇦
$10K new in 1956
Only option was AC
Hand built
Ford actually lost money on the car
cost them more to build than they sold them for.
The music is almost as elegant as the car.
Lets play jazz when showcasing classic cars from the 50s.
This puts Today's thoughtless cars to shame ,
What color is that car?

Chrome plated door jambs, you just don't see that in todays cars

It looks like the bidding got up to $75k, but not sure the seller accepted that very low offer.
Looks awesome 😎👍
