I have heard that these engines had so much torque, that they could go around a corner and not have to shift to a lower gear. They would pick up the speed again without a wimper.

These things give me flashbacks! Me and my buddies had been drinking one night and we decided to head back home, my dumbass friend decided he was going to go 90 down a stretch of road with a sharp curve at the end. He must have forgot that the wires were already showing on the back tires because right when we entered that turn the back one blew, we did a 180 and hit a bank and away we tumbled! I was in the back middle seat with just the lap belt and I remember the roof of the car scooping dirt into my face. Walked away with bruised hips and kidneys from the belt, and eveyone else had minor scrapes and bruises. Anyways, nice Towncar! Be careful in it! Lol

I love these, but for some reason I feel the 77-81 Cadillacs didn’t wear as well as the previous generation in a lot of the trim and interior pieces, but the body and doors shut better.
