Real wood on the dash, none of that plastic crap like the Mark IV and V! ( 1969 was simulated wood, 1970 and 1971 was real walnut veneer). This is a gorgeous Mark III!
I am fortunate enough to own a perfect 29k mile original light ivy yellow black top mark 3. I absolutely love driving and looking at this classic. It gets compliments everywhere I go.
Dad had one. A really cool car. I'll never forget how he stuffed the 3 brat kids (I was one) and Mom riding shotgun into that car and we drove to a restaurant for dinner.
I bought one last month and like it more everyday....:old couple bought it new then he passed... parts are easily available and they are simple to work on! Love having some of my childhood back! They are the best looking and fastest Lincoln’s ever made 😆 IMO
.No air bags or seat belts in those old Lincolns. No alarm system. Strong body. Heavy doors. Heavy bumpers. Fast acceleration. Just put your foot to the floor on the pedal. Fly! Heavy on the gas with so much torque. Easy to maintain. Dependable.
Those cars did have seat belts. There were 3 lap belts and 2 optional shoulder belts in the front seat and 3 lap belts in the back seat. Back then I was probably the only person that wore both the lap and shoulder belts when I drove. I would get in, turn the ignition, push the cigarette lighter, buckle up both the belts, light up a cigarette and take off. I liked to drive that car fast.
Parts would not be a fortune. BMW is outrageous. I owned a $43,000 535i. Oh my god! Most parts were still available from the dealer at ten years old. It was so much to repair....labor and parts.
Me too! I used to own the same car. Same color. When you see firsthand, how these cars were assembled, you actually start to appreciate them. The American Rolls Royce.
I cannot trust independent repair services. However, sometimes aftermarket parts are possibly to be purchased. I couldn't service BMW with aftermarket. I went to a junk yard to purchase a front seat frame. A new one cost $2,000. I still had to pay $200 at the salvage yard. The upholstery cost me $200 for vinyl. The frame last one year.
You have to wonder what kind of moron orders a brand new 1971 Mark III and doesn't check the cruise control, passenger side rear view mirror, and power moonroof boxes on the options list. Sad.
@@larrygalofaro4507 My dog is treated like Royalty. She is above the law and cannot be held accountable for anything she does. Anyone who tries to kick her had better be bulletproof. Back to the Lincoln - Why would a dealer order a stripped one -even for an ad?
There was only a power sunroof option, no moonroof for the Mark III but you do see a ton of used Marks with so few options selected. I never understood why but probably dealer ordered and bought off the lot. If you were spending all that money back then, why not order everything!
Definitely a beautiful car! I love those old lincoln continental's.

Don't torment yourselves. I am 74. I know what it is to own a Lincoln. I had two Lincolns. Fine cars of the past. Lots of engine. Powerhouse.
I'm in love with the mark 4's!! That classic styling and smooth ride can't go wrong with that.
I saw one of these in person just a few months back. I look forward to seeing that again!

My boss had one. Swapped him my square body chev for it one weekend. Now l want one of each. Georgeous Lincoln.
I have this car in the movie "The French Connection"
It is impressive that it was used.
Love that car

This car is a national treasure.
"The Car" brought me here.

A beauty!
WOW! Gorgeous car! I wish!
Still had the 365 hp engine before all the emissions controls. Niiice.
Depending on whether it was a CA. car. Mine has an A.I.R. pump, but that's all. It was shipped to Buffalo originally.
Это шедевр !
Lots of big trunk space in the 1959 Lincoln.
These look best in black. Formal and correct.
The French connection car.
Of course, most of those people who owned those great cars no longer roam the earth. Dead.
Hey Fitzgerald, it will need to be a Black AmEx card.
my love for lincoln brought me here

Linc Merc I just bought one. I can't believe what he sold it for. I hope that it is not junk
I had one same color, what don't work and what are you asking for it?
I had buddy who had one like but the interior was burgundy
WOW
if one were to get this repaired, would the parts cost a fortune
If you could find them, yes.

Is it a 425HP 460 PI? Check to see if the heads say DOVE-C from the drivers side. If so, check the other side.
the vinyl would be the seatbacks and the sides the seats are leather. vinyl has a sheen to it.
Larry Galofaro please tell us how much it sold for these videos get posted and no one ever tells us how much they sold for
For sale??
What's the sense. Stop dreaming of what was once
luxury. Is no more.
You are talking about American made Lincoln. Still
luxury will burn your wallet.
Carry American Express when
you take it to a dealership.
Такие тачки в 70 года, да и в 30 года 16 цилиндровые двиги. Произведения искуства
Looks like the seats were re covered in vinyl. Arm rests are definitely leather...
ALL leather
Wrong wheel covers.
Not at all.
Larry Galofaro Is it Galofaro or Garofalo?

Hahaha.....dude go adopt a dog at the pound and take it home so you can kick it. Probably a dealer ordered vehicle for the ad vehicle.
