    You can get this and the Hawk platform ($50) for around $200, if you are on a tight budget

      Good point, although I’m not sure where you can find the hawk platform for $50.

    The bridge is adjustable ,the prusiks line is the adjustment , if you girth one end and clip in the prusiks into the other you can adjust the length in and out , you had all 3 ends clipped in

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, I just had the tag end clipped up, otherwise I had it set up exactly as you said. Of course the length is adjustable but the positioning isn’t adjustable like it is on the vast majority of saddles today. I’m referring to an adjustment that changes the pressure from top to bottom, similar to the comfort channels on the tethrd phantom

    Did XOP intend for those loops at the ends of the Molle’s to be for the lineman’s rope? I can’t find instructions on their website… Also, this was a great review. I will use this saddle because of its versatility alone. If you choose to sit a hang-on back to tree, use the tie off. If you choose to sit with tree in front, use it as a saddle.

      @TheBudgetSportsman  10 месяцев назад

      I don’t have any inside knowledge but that is what I would assume the loops are for. Very similar to the H2 slingshot I had a few years ago. Very easy and inexpensive way to put lineman’s loops on. Just not a very great way IMO.

    I'd be interested to know if the xop 40ft safty rope is good enough to one stick ?

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  10 месяцев назад +1

      I will admit I don't know enough about ropes to give you good advice. What I do know is one of their employees that I spoke to at a show a few years ago was from a rock climbing background and was doing his best to guide XOP to use safe gear. I did notice that all the specs for the rope are listed on their website. It might be worth reaching out and asking them about it specifically. My guess is that the sheath may not be up the abuse of constant rappelling.

    Would I be able to get away with cutting the chest part of the saddle off and use it as a saddle only? Or would that not really work?

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  10 месяцев назад +1

      I "THINK" you could do that, however I am sure that for legal reasons XOP would not recommend it and warranty the product once you modify it. I would proceed with caution and use your own judgment.

      Might mess up the integrity of the saddle.
