Tim wrote this song when he was going through some difficult trials in his life. It's about his doubt in God, and how it seems that terrible people get their way and faithful people always suffer. At the end of the song, he realizes that God is good after all, and that everything he went through was for his own sake. TBT is an awesome band, I highly recommend you support them and buy their album.
the reason why I like TBT over most other Christian bands is that they truly speak of a Christian's heart. Its great when we are all up high in our faith, singing "Oh, how he loves us" and "How great is our God" but every Christian has gone through a phase, or two, or three where their faith is tested and they doubt God's love for them. The great thing about TBT is they cover both sides of Christianity, the high states of worship as well as the low times of doubt.
This is amazing! Christian songwriters rarely seem to write songs on lament and mourning anymore. It reminds me to bring all before God, not just the good times. Blessing!
Thank you "TIM BE TOLD" for this song living in Philly i have lost so many friends and family to these streets every time i hear this song it makes me fight harder to help the younger brother's to stay safe and out of the street life and show them how i have changed and they can do the same .... thanks again your #1 fan in philly
