At my teenage when others would go to watch movies and dindindi I would spend the whole night in a house nearby where I lived listening to mbira and the decendance sharing culture till morning. One day my mum saw me coming home early in morning when she was sweeping outside and asked me furiously where I was coming from and I pointed the house where I was coming from and with her knowing what happens in that house she just kept quiet because it was a traditional music house for people with ancestral spirits. No one can take away tradition from a person. Mbira for the people who belong to cultural groups/Dzinza nemitupo. Forward with culture. 👏
The sorrowful and touching kind of music that has been perfected by years and generations of our African experience in the journey of life. Much appreciated from Zambia 🇿🇲
Wow I met this lead singer at the Mbira festival 2018 in Masasa Woodlands, he was telling me about the lack of funding for them to make a video..I'm proud they have finally made it
how nice! i don´t know much about the culture, but i found traditional african music on records, for the first time in the mid 70s, since then i´m hooked to it - i tried to find more, but it was almost impossible then to find african music here in germany - but during the 80s we had a wave of african bands and artists coming over here and i saw countless of them, even the superstar from nigeria, king sunny adé and the super stars from south africa, the mahotella queens with simon mahlatini, the lion of soweto! now we have the internet to find beautiful music like this here - i also say i´m proud of myself, but even more i feel like a blessed man! i send love and greetings from germany
Zimbabwe came about because of Hondo(war) Nehanda (ancient traditional leader) died because of the war (Hondo) Kaguvi ( another ancestorial traditional leader) died because of war. So he keeps naming their different names but the message is the same
