Thank you very much! I am glad you liked my Corfu Walking Tour video. I really loved that place, some time I will go back to there for sure! But this summer I will plan some other great holiday destinations, maybe in Greece again.
One of my worst rip offs occurred in Corfu a few years ago. Ordered a lunch off the sidewalk board at a special price and ended up paying more than 60 Euros for the luncheon special offered at 9 Euros. It was such a scam and it made me feel like I was robbed. EVERY SINGLE customer who left was angry and pissed off at being conned. The owner was "mocking" the tourists as he lured more patrons in with his fake special prices. HE COULDN'T CARE LESS about upset customers, his reputation or his shameless tactics. Unfortunately, this was not an uncommon practice in Greece, Overpriced cafes, fake prices, bait and switch tactics. As a 65 year old with over 30 countries visited and a savvy tourist- this incident really sealed my impression of Corfu.
What a rip off! Fortunately nothing like that happened to us, we spent between 20-30 Euros at the most of the restaurants (for 2 people). We always check the reviews of the restaurant on google maps and choose carefully, this practice can help a lot.
Andata parecchi anni fa a luglio. Mare così così, isola incasinata, piena di macchine strombazzanti e nell'aria puzza di scarico di veicoli. Non c'è quasi nulla da vedere. Se non ci si va, non si perde nulla
@@world--traveler Thanks for your response World Traveler- I really enjoyed your video. Your cinematography is great. We are 72 years old, so we dont do the whole technology thing! ( but we do check reviews before we leave- and sort out the fake from the real ones ) We have travelled the world and fortunate enough to live in many different places. That's why we were so shocked and annoyed at this restaurant's gauging. I will subscribe to your channel.
