    Thanks for the vid! The single acting valve with a double acting cylinder is exactly what I needed but I had no clue what to search for.

    would this solenoid work if I hoked it up to a air compressor to the solenoid and out to a micro sprayer nozzle and on 110v

    Dear sir, if i want to reject one pound on production line using pneumatic arm , how to calculate the needed Pneumatic arm,also i need rejection time (extend time of arm+retraction time)

    When you activate the solenoid and the cylinder extends, is air constantly being drained from the air compressor/reservoir for as long as you have the trigger activated? Or does it only use the amount of air required to extend the cylinder? Hope this questions makes sense. Basically I want to have a prop fist print into fabric and Im unsure if by leaving the solenoid activated it is going to drain my reservoir.
    I'm a newb ...sorry for the lame question.

      Not lame at all Paul! It will just take as much air as it needs to extend the cylinder (so it won't continue drawing air).

    How much psi can the cylinder handle? And what is your recommended psi level for a instant response to move a object that isn't heavy. I want to use a single action cylinder to move a medium sized sliding bolt on a door lock.

      Max PIS is 250 but most applications don't need more than 30-40.

      FrightProps nice! Can you make a video demo of a piston running at 100 psi

    Can this set up be used for a crushing pop can? Thanks. And good vid

    how do you connect a motion sensor to the solenoid?

      you hook that up to another component, the prop controller, such as a PicoBoo controller. Frightprops sells those too.

    hey dude, i've seen your vids, but may i ask how does the cylinder is lubricated since i will run 24/7. thanks

    we have a project and we need all the components that you have shown. may i ask if what is the size of your actuator sir? and what is the stroke.

      Many different bore sizes and strokes available here:
      www.frightprops.com/pneumatics/cylinders.html
      I believe the one used in the video is a 3/4" Bore 4" Stroke:

    Do you have to have a power source to control the Solenoid?

    • @FrightProps
      @FrightProps  6 лет назад +2

      Yes, power and a controller of some type if you want to program movements for the cylinder.

    hello frightprops, i want to make piston from pneumatic cylinder to make a mini car. what is the settings for pneumatics and valves to make a smooth rotation just as normal piston do?

    • @FrightProps
      @FrightProps  8 лет назад +1

      Hello. Pneumatic cylinders are really not meant to operate that way. As you can see in the video, they do not smoothly go in and out, it is more of a sudden, jerky motion. Not sure that would work or you.
