    This might not sound like a compliment but I swear it is. I love how your videos are kind of “unprepared” (no background, no lighting, big concept) sometimes I’m ngl I struggle to hear what youre saying (yes I do speak English I live in the UK) but as someone who LOVE no talking videos it feels like nice whispers without having to focus on the dialogue (some whispers videos feel like intrusive thoughts to me). I love so much your videos bc they get straight to the point without me having to focus on so much visual details or intros. Idk if it’s on purpose or not but I hope you’ll take it the right way. you probably have such a natural talent for asmr that even without all the budget and time other creators put in their videos, yours result always being amazing. And I’m saying that as someone who’s been into asmr since 2016. I’m always waiting for your videos ❤️
    I hope your channel keep growing, your authenticity is truly refreshing compared to all set up other creators have (let’s be clear I love other creators work and visuals but this is so authentic it makes you stand out in a very nice way to me)

    • @tranquillily
      @tranquillily  2 месяца назад +1

      Lol, I love how intentional you were with this comment! It would have been easy to say "I love how low effort your videos are!" And meant it kindly but have me read into that a lot. XD. As a fairly neurotic and anxious person, I would have read into it, let's be honest.
      But you explaining what you mean was so so meaningful to me, because that's exactly the vibe I am trying to achieve. I have watched the high quality, great acting, beautiful ASMR things and love them for the craft and effort that goes into them. (Big fan of Amy Kay for her costuming and Moonlight cottage for her everything). Those people love the production, and I love them for it.
      But I don't really like acting. I HATE putting on makeup. I don't love taking a lot of time dressing up. I don't write scripts because when I do, I feel strange and stilted. And I think all this led me to where I am now because the "art" of ASMR for me is in my authenticity. Like being genuine and authentic is how I express myself the same way other express themselves with beautiful sets and costumes.
      So thank you so much for taking the time to say all that, it's really really appreciated. I'm so glad to know there is a niche for my style and that it's enjoyed by such nice people. Love this community. ♥️

      @@tranquillily I’m neurotypical and I love content creation so i understand what you mean. Standing out it’s not always easy but I’m glad my comment reached you out the most amazing way. (Ik I wrote a lot before but I didn’t want you to take it as a criticism or a back handed compliment that would make you feel self conscious. But as this is probably your strength and it should be celebrated as well as the good asmr work ❤️)

    I like your rambles, it actually inspired me a lot❤❤❤I had been in a very bad relationship before, then I gradually became a person who cannot trust others, and that brought about bad influences on my next relationship that I messed it up months ago, because I asked for too many evidences and there’s a lack of trust. I think you’re totally right to say that you want your experiences to inform smart decision rather than not trust people.

      It is so incredibly shaking when you find out a person you gave yourself to was lying to your face the whole time, or they never loved you the way that you loved them. I talk a big game in the video, but I'm still in the middle of my own journey of accepting what happened to me. I'm just sharing my optimism for where I hope to get to eventually, and I hope you get there too, hon.

    This was a particularly apt conversation for my week, Lily. Opening ourselves to someone is...frankly, terrifying. Mostly because I'm an introvert. (No, really. In spite of my lengthy comments, I tend to be pretty quiet. Haha.)
    Letting someone in, then having them push you away...well, it sucks. It hurts, especially when you don't give yourself away easily, and once the person is allowed in, they aren't easy to push out yourself.
    We feel betrayed. We want answers where there are none. We try to heal, in spite of everything.
    I'm glad you have a good support network. Those people are valuable. Bless you, Lily.
    Woah. Heavy.
    Selfishly, as much as I wish you a good vacation soon...Your absence will be felt and I kind of dread it.

    • @tranquillily
      @tranquillily  2 месяца назад +4

      While I was really hoping that my video might resonate with people, I am also sorry to hear that it did, because this was partially me processing some very heavy things of my own and so I know that means it must resonate with the weight of hurt that I've come to know this year.
      Despite being an introvert myself, I only know openness. I was very very blessed with a loving, supportive family, and I am grateful every day for it, but it meant that I grew up naive and trusting. I let anyone in that wanted to be let in, and for a long time, it only bit me in ways that were quick to heal from.
      But I'd never met a wolf before. And some people are so so hungry for what they want that they will tear you apart thoughtlessly trying to get it and it has been scary and violating and sobering all at once and I hate it. I feel like at almost 40 years old, I've had my first real and true heartbreak. And god I feel like a complete idiot for letting it happen.
      I'm so sorry that you took your armor off for someone and they stabbed you. It's not right. It's not fair. But don't let it strip away who you are. Don't let a hurt get to decide how you live the rest of your life from here on out. I hope for both myself and for you that it won't stop us from trusting again. That we will be wiser, but not jaded. Because there is just as much beauty out there as there is darkness, and I strongly believe we can find it. Be well Modest.

    • @modestwriggles

      @@tranquillily Firstly, allow me to say what I didn't the first time around. Thank you for you for this video. I hope that talking about things in the context helped you process. I hope you also take away from this that it helped someone else, and that matters, so much. I speak from a personal standpoint, but I know I'm not alone in that. So, thank you for being a genuine light in a dark place.
      My circumstances differ because I grew up in less than ideal circumstances, hence the armor. (Not blaming the people who raised me, just to be clear. They did what they could.) Unfortunately, armored sheep are still seeking shepherds, to mix analogies. I'd found a wolf masquerading as a shepherd, leading me from the less ideal circumstances and eventually, as you say, they tore me open and left me here with the wounds, and so many questions.
      I'm sorry that you ever had to experience what you did, Lily. I can relate to feeling stupid for letting yourself trust the wolf, but you have to know that you're not. They wore the costume well. It can be disarming. I'm glad that you're choosing the route less chosen. That you're not just becoming jaded by the experience. I don't know that I can say I'm strong enough to do the same, but I'd like to think I can try. I can offer nothing of value, I realize, but I am hopeful that you heal and find the happiness you so deserve.
      If you take nothing else from this, just know that this video has helped others process, in addition to yourself, and it is very much appreciated. I can't express the gratitude I have well enough, but hopefully you know, in some way. Bless you, Lily. And again, thank you.

    • @tranquillily

      You have offered a lot of value. Literally my favorite thing about being a RUclips asmrtist is the rare moments another person's heart is resonating with mine and they reach out like this, when they recognize that I frequently speak authentically in my videos and feel something from my openness. I love to connect in meaningful ways with other people, even if it's only for a short moment. And your willingness to let your guard down enough so that we could share a hurt means a great deal. It's literally one of my favorite things about being alive.
      I'm sorry you come from a place that made you have to build that wall for your own safety, and I absolutely understand the need for it. But even just this interaction between us shows that you can be open still, at least a little. Maybe with enough little interactions where people show you that you are safe, you will feel like you could take a leap again. But it's ok to need some time to heal first, too.
      I deeply deeply appreciate this conversation, Modest. Thank you for sharing with me. And may the healed versions of you and I be even better than we are now.
