As a father, it warms my heart every time I see the interactions between you and Bruno. I know those “tractor rides” are memories both of you will carry with you for the rest of your lives. Great stuff, my friend😊
thank you
I’m thinking Bruno is looking forward to never shaving.😉
😂👍
Wit the crazy in this country and the world , your vids are a breath of fresh air and calm , so laid back easy going and just a real treat to watch ,Thank You
An example of a good soul with an incredible work ethic! This is a great life.
Nathan, you have a fine young son in Bruno. I believe you need to start having Bruno help you and learn the different jobs on your farm. it would be good for Bruno to learn work ethic & teamwork with helping you. He will learn the sawyer business, farming and take over your business in the future down the road in time.
Nice to see Bruno again. He's a damned handsome boy, must take after his mother.
You asked what we think about that mower. Here's what I think. You should get rid of most of that grass. What purpose does it have? Grow something useful on it or, if you don't have the time, let someone else grow something on it and share it. Love your milling by the way.
Any video with both Bruno AND George is a winner in my book, Nathan.
P.S.: up here in New Jersey, lots of people - myself included - say it “Husk-a-varna” just like you do. So you just keep on doing you, friend. 👍🏻
Right on
That's how we say it in northern Illinois.
hello Nathan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Nathan Friends Randy
I like your voice and pronunciations of words, one of your many unique and entertaining qualities
Thank you! 😃
Southern dialect..... Tennessee has it's own special twist to it!
In Louisiana, there are many dialects. Mostly in the southern part but we understand most all of the Tennessee folks . I've got no problem with funny sounding dialects. Jeet chet ?
That is a fine boy you got there Nathan,i really like that amazing mower + the log splitter.....Thank very much my friend 👍
Old F-4 2 Shoe🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Good to see the men out on their land.
All this work watching this morning of March 1st Nathan? Well I’m not tired but inspired! Now it’s time for another CuppaJO and I’m toasting you and OTW and Son! Many Blessings and Kind Thanks! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania p.s. George is a very friendly feller! Perhaps he could give some lessons to Mama Cat. That most hateful kitty on YT!
Enjoy!
If you like mountain man books, I can highly recommend the autobiography of Andrew Garcia, "Tough Trip Through Paradise, 1878-1879". Thanks Nathan, for all the great video and interesting narrative.
What a great entry in your story. That log splitter is so interesting. It seems simple and efficient. I bet the wood will eventually catch fire pretty easily. Bruno looks more grown up every time we see him. Tracker rides are the best. Thanks for taking us with you.
The proud poppa at the end. That was nice.
I did read your last book recommendation. The war of art. Twice! lol.
It's impressive the way the articulated batwings follow the terrain. No more scalping or missed low spots.
thats why I got one, less mowing and better cutting for sure,
Bruno is all about the tractor. As a father, there is nothing like spending time with your child.
you are an awesome dad
You, Mr. Nathan, have been a very busy man over the past several months! I just looked back at some of the things you have brought home to the farm to increase efficiency and make your life a bit easier and the list is quite impressive. Good on ya young man. May you continue to be abundantly blessed Friend. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Good afternoon. That new mower looks awesome. I love your channel. Have a great week ahead. Thanks.
Thanks 👍
Amen Brother, sharing the road is really gettin "sporty"😮
It sure is
Watching you work around your mill and farm is awesome. I watch your videos while I'm waiting to pick up my grandkids at school. I enjoy them alot.
Appreciate it
A midnight video drop to start the week.
Bruno is such a lovely son, well done guiding him
The look on your face. Proud Daddy There
Nathan looks like 👍 you got something done ✅ today and also took a spin with Bruno 😮😊❤
Great stories and great editing.
Much appreciated!
When I split with maul and wedges , I would start in a crack . That makes it easier . Ican't split by hand anymore . I like wathing RUclips , a few of you young guys stil split and chop wood by hand . Thanks ,Nathan .
Right on
I agree with the earlier post friend, love those rides and interactions with Bruno. You’re a good father Nathan, my goodness. I’m sure you and your wife are very proud parents. God bless.
Great video but Greater when we see Bruno in them! MEMORIES!!!!!!
ALWAYS good to see Bruno!!
Close shots look great
Any day with Georgie Boy is a good day!
Hard to beat
Good video, walnut slabs turned out beautifully given the rough start
Thanks 👍
If you like mountain men books, then you’ll love the stories by LOUIS LAMOUR! Cant nobody hold a candle to this author!
That's a name from a Long time ago.
Read a couple of his, back in the early 60's. 😁✌🖖
I'll be darned! I just looked him up. We got the same birthday.
If Mr Lamont told a creek was in a certain place it was same with all his locales, he traveled the world a student if history geography and was even a boxer at one time
Golf course use speaks well of the new mower. Can't wait to see it in use behind your tractor.
I really love all of your purchases that will most definitely cut down on maintenance and allow more mill time , all smart investments!
Also love your investment in Bruno , I’m a Beekeeper here on the spacecoast of Florida and we run a small cottage industry apiary and honey supply out of our home . We are in our 8th year , second year of mentoring our oldest son to learn all the ropes of beekeeping and sales , he like Bruno will take over the business in about another 5 years or when I can no longer handle the heavy loads of honey boxes . Hope to see a video with you training Bruno at the mill ! Totally enjoy your videos , thanks !
Hey Terry, My Grandfather kept bees also, at one time he had over 300 stands scattered all over N East GA 10 of those were mine that I helped capture from swarms. He passed away in 1972 and I became the man of them and because there were so many we sold most of them. I got out of the bee business to pursue my career in Law enforcement but My Mom keep what few we had left. When Mom passed in 1986 I again assumed the master of the bees We used Walter T. Kelly equipment all those years but unfortunately I lost my bees to wax worms and drought. I'm retired now after 44 years of LE have thought about about getting bees again, closing in on 70 not sure I can keep up with more than 4 or 5 stands but the thought is still with me. Good Luck with your bee's. John Toccoa GA
Hi there, RB, Nova Scotia.
I t looks like Bruno is about the right age to take over driving duties for your rides.🙂
If you like spy adventure books try some Vince Flynn books. He died several years ago, but he left a legacy.
I knew Bruno would like to be involved with your business.
Great video. That was some awesome grain in that log. Nice to see Bruno!
Thanks 👍
That a dam fine log
Please show us more of the slab with the insulator in it, including the back side that you just sawed.
Go, Bruno. Go !
Turning Walnut into firewood made my heart hurt.
I get it, Nathan. I'm a native Phladelphian now living in western Chester County, so I know all about adding that extra syllable. I would shop at the Ack-a-mee (Acme) Market, my Dad rooted for the Ath-a-letics, and we would donate used clothing to the Sal-a-vation Army. It does, however, drive people crazy when I say "crick" instead of "creek." Safe and happy travels!
A good friend of mine use to say the Husqvarna meant hard to start in Swedish.😗
Nathan thanks for sharing it all looking forward to seeing the new mower in action
hey Fonda
That story about the Indians and the log has been Bowdlerized, I'd say. The version I heard some forty or so years ago was that once they had their fingers caught in the log, the mountain man killed and scalped them with his axe.
Yeah, the bigger the cutter, the more horsepower required or hut high and then cut low. I have a "Husky" and it's a hoss. I think when you own it, you can call it anything you want.
Three hours of no one bugging me.... more lawn please.
Sounds like you need some sheep for all that grass. Anyone in the area that has a flock sometimes looking for pasture?
Sure was enjoyable watching you split that oak by hand. Brings back memories….
Time for Bruno to begin helping out around the farm. Teach him to run that tractor with the belly mower and let him cut grass. Take him to the sawmill and let him start learning now how to safely operate it. Everything he learns now will make his adult life better. I know, I was mowing when I was 8 on a riding mower, just the flat parts, no hills. I was doing it all at 12. I was also driving nails and pulling wire when I was 12, I built a 20x20 dog pen, complete with 2 foot deep footings and concrete blocks when I was 13. And building houses in the summer earning wages when I was 15. Until the knees got so bad a few years ago I was pretty self sufficient. Let Bruno learn these things and he'll thank for it some day.
Now that you have the excavator, you need the splitter like Mike, ODWM's, has for his Kubota. Split those BIG Rounds. Just a thought.
I split many a log back 70s' as a teenager,16 lb sledge and 4 steel splitting wedges.
I about fell out of my recliner when you said you annoy people enough to comment on the way you talk.
'George. You are smelling yourself.' That reminds me. l must have a bath next Tuesday.
llol
God bless, you. & Burno
It is awkward, but easier to pull shaft out when ramps are straight up. No tension on spring!
Awesome looking slabs.
Thanks 👍
I'm in upstate NY. Anyone I have ever heard say Husqvarna say it just like you. They are people that owned their chainsaws and other power tools as well as a professional motor cross rider that owned many if their motorcycles . We don't speak Swedish in the US so we say it the way we say it. If you have a problem with how Nathan says Husqvarna you must go nuts with everyone saying Chevrolet ,ambulance , aluminum , garage, ........... wrong
Thats the way we say it in Texas.
I used to work with a guy who said Husky Varny. I've pronounced it that way ever since.
Very interesting Nate, do you know the history of Laztec? The founder and former CEO of Woodmizer has a son who worked with his dad for several years, then became the founder and CEO of Laztec. This mower was developed to use on golf courses. 7Later he became CEO of Woodmizer and Laztec. He has since retired, but still around, don’t know who is CEO of the companies now. Hope you have good luck with the mower.
Here's a good listen ,
If I were the devil by paul Harvey.
The man could see the future.
I do believe that you will make a good amount of chicken feed on that walnut log. Say hi to Bruno and your wife. Stay safe.
Always wondered the legend of john Henry his hammer had a 4 ft switch handle never herd it called a switch handle except that song go john henry
Very enjoyable video, RB, Nova Scotia.
Glad you enjoyed it
Glad you got more good slabs out of that massive Walnut log with the insulator in it. I think you'll like the new mower too. Looking forward to seeing you get use to pulling it around your yards. Stay safe around there and keep up the great videos. Tell the Mrs. and Bruno we said hello to both of them. Fred.
beautiful wood!
Thank you! Cheers!
The old folks around here to keep from having wedges ‘stuck’ used dogwood wedges to prevent this. Nothing is any tougher than dogwood. It also makes the best walking staffs.
That log splitter seems to need a lot of babysitting.
You go Bruno
Bruno said hey!
I don't know if you have read this book or not but I am sure that you would enjoy it. It's called Alex Stewart Portrait Of A Pioneer, it's about an old very knowladgeable man that was raised in Panther Creek Tennessee, he was born in the late 1800's he made baskets, barrels and such very talented man. He tells of the hard life that he had was raised very poor with no shoes and talks about most kids ran around naked because they couldn't afford clothes it's an amazing story that all should read it will have a lot of people really appreciating what they have in life. How old do you figure that walnut tree is?
Cracked or not, that grain is beautiful.
Good luck Bruno.
Bought the book, I read a lot of mountain men books!
If this power mower with articulating decks is good enough for golf courses, it is certainly good enough for you, Nathan. Your time is worth money.😊
You should get sheep to do your mowing. I enjoy my edible lawnmowers. Much less upkeep than actually mowing.
I'm just here for the Bruno cameos.
me2
thats the kind of mower they use at the Parks around here,,very nice heavy duty..they have a lot of grass,,haa....well your got to have some pasture to for cows to...yeah this weather suck big time,,we got a inch and half of rain yesterday,,then that night it dropped in temp to 24 degrees...crazy. you can get sick real quick like..be careful man
The bigger the mower the better .
Nice Mower! Looking forward to seeing it in operation, Hey Bruno keep up the good work in school and learn as much math as you can you will go far, Nathan you have a Great young man growing up! Hope to see both of you working side by side soon. John Toccoa
Thanks 👍
Great video today
Thanks!
I actually enjoy splitting wood by hand. It’s so satisfying and relaxing to me.
Same here!
That white oak butt end would have made a great anvil stand!
We are all looking forward to when Bruno drives. Won't be long.
Another way of looking at that part of the book he outsmarted the Indeans
Agreed 👍
That splitter seems to be tailored to handle bigger rounds to me. I see where it is usefull, but looks less usefull on smaller rounds since you have to re-split for smaller pieces.
George working hard holding that center console down
overtime hours
I am so disappointed. When you said you had a finish mower, I was expecting to see a mower from Finland.
Thanks for the video
What brand you referring to?
@@OutoftheWoods0623 A mower from Finland would be a Finish Mower. LOL
@@mikewatson4644 Gottem! :P
got me
Nice deck and it's articulated and should produce lawn quality cuts while reducing time to cut your property. Ray
Your just having fun doing your life.
Hi Nathan, looks like an excellent mower, it would be perfect for my back guarden, but it is wider than my 8’x12’ lawn, I purchased your recommendation from last month and will go have a look at this months, thank you for these suggestions, you take care
Expensive firewood
Great, now I suffer from "Mower Envy" That's some package, I've never seen a setup that articulates; should get a pretty high quality cut. I look forward to seeing it in operation and the results, would make some good drone footage! Be safe and thanks for the great content.
Just tie a chain to any pallet and pull it off the trailer until you can get forks under it.
