They be some pretty fine singin and dancin in this here flick. The cast look like they lovin what they doin. People still puttin on this show, it got lastin quality, for sure.
Valerie Harper is in this 1959 film. Someone correct me, but I think at 0:06, of the three women in the foreground, she's in the orange dress, second from the right (to the right of the speaker).
It looks like her to me. According to IMdB, Beth Howland (“Alice”) and Donna Douglas (“The Beverly Hillbillies”) also had uncredited parts in the movie.
And this was back when we actually had Americans rather than traitors running things. I wonder how the people who wrote this would react to the situation today.

This show and "Finian's Rainbow" are amazingly relevant today.

is Eli Wallach the old man he refers to as Pappy?
Yep, Lil Abner is the Good, the Mayor is the Bad, and Pappy is the Ugly.
The vocal inflections remind me of Moe, one of the 3 Stooges.
This should have been Trump's campaign song - this and 'What's good for General Bullmoose is good for the USA'
Where is Fearless Fosdick when you need him???
