This song is underrated. This is my favorite ending to an album.
Yeah this song is pretty much unheard of. True coldplay fans wait to the end of the album ;)

When they slip into 7/8 time at the 2:30 mark it just propels the song into the stratosphere. Amazing song. All of Viva is amazingly beautiful.

i remember how johnny said in an interview that he couldnt figure out how to sing AND play at the end of this song and how guy and will had figured it out but he couldnt cos the timing of the music and vocals is different of somthing haha

This has been my wake up song on my phone for over 8 years. So obviously I’ve listened to it thousands of times. It really is a great song to wake you up with its gentle beginnings. If I am having a hard time waking up the gradual build up of the piano and guitar usually will get me up. However if I am having a really hard time waking up the last 40 seconds will always do the job.
I made the joke once that if I don’t wake up listening to the entire song, I am probably dead!
As many others have said about this song, I too hope they play this at my funeral. Who knows maybe it will wake me up!😂

My absolute favorite one minute of any song i've ever heard, 2:30 - the end....I listened to it over and over walking through London...it was probably one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.

i'd just like to point out the incredible amount of skill it takes to pull off that drum beat while singing a melody of a completely different rhythm. well played.
My mom listened to this song while she was pregnant with me and in an abusive relationship with my biological father. So knowing what she was thinking about while listening to this song makes it mean just so much to me. This song saved her and she still talks about that to this day. Music. Saves. Lives.

I absolutely love the bridge part of intense electric guitar where there’s two sets instrumental then two with vocals wow it’s absolutely amazing, just fills me with absolute joy 2:29 , I think it’s even more exhilarating on the recording but actually being there probably would’ve been absolutely amazing too
But just the whole thing is just joy even the quiet bit at the end is so skin tingling and beautiful I can’t deal
I can’t even begin to convey how absolutely epic Coldplay are just all of their songs are transforming to a new level of joy beyond the stars there’s nothing quite like it

i saw the ban din Viginia some years ago. I started in the back of the stadium and made my way up to the front and the drummer had the same energy far away as he did up close remarkable! They are my favorite band!
