@@charlotteashleyfarm we get over 3 metres of rain here but only over 4-5 months the nothing but high temps. i come from arming folk in Victoria in the south of Australia and my Dad was a shearer. Love your honest approach. Must be hard graft in the wet all the time, but you look after your stock very well and that's so important, good work!
When I was a kid I used to pick the maize whilst it was still in its early stages of growing, looked and tasted like baby sweetcorn. It was never nice when fully grown!
Robotic scraper is in the plans for the future as she has talked about it lots in previous videos, but having just finished building the cow shed this year and with the price of them as you know it's not that high on the priority list

The few times you need to clean up bad feed, you can pour concrete as a triangle against pillars for smooth bobcat scraping. Panels are definitely on right side 👍
Common sense would dictate you put the panels on the inside of the beams for ease of scraping. 💩 is more corrosive on the steel beams than silage.for the feed star system common sense would dictate the panels go on the outside of the beam or else there would be a gap between the belt and the cows. You have it right.
@@charlotteashleyfarm push it up last thing at night seeing it look like that tells an experienced dairy they have went to long without it being pushed up all that will do like that is cause you real problems with your cows especially after calving they need kept full too transition properly and milk it’s not criticism it’s a bit of advice
Top dogs 👌👍
You are the hardest working woman in show business!
Nice to see your dogs at work

Dogs is good!
Two mighty little ratters you have there every farm should have some another great video as always how is dot dot doing now and the other little ones
When I was a kid I used to pick the maize whilst it was still in its early stages of growing, looked and tasted like baby sweetcorn. It was never nice when fully grown!
Another great video Charlotte. Are you sure Roy is from opp north? He sounds fair posh! Like someone from Hertfordshire 😂
Guess youtube didn't like my comment about the great job the dogs were doing
Ha ha I’ll go in hidden comments and seek it out
You need to have Mr squeegee come over every day at his expense, and squeegee your building
I bet Roy chirped up when he saw you carrying the restraints across the yard.
Never sit down behind a cow 😱 She could redecorate your face
Charlotte, put down lime in and around the hay bales and you'll have no rats, they don't like it on their feet😊...Rita x
You’ll need to get a hydraulic side shit made for your scraper to get it into the wall panel!
Oh Charlotte if you think maize is corn on the cob it’s a wonder Roy lets you go shopping 😂
Put a concrete step on inside of shed so cows can put front feet out it and gives u a straight edge for scraping against
100% with you about the concrete panels Charlotte far easier to shovelling feed than shit! How’s baby Roy settling in? 😂
Wheres my roast dinner looks yum
As you know Fall started in September
Nice vid.
Kind of annoyed me at the last scene. Here I am munching on a hot dog and there you’re eating Yorkshire puddin and all the fixins 😡
😂
Love a good Yorkshire pud
In the Colonies we call it corn, not maize. People in what is now Mexico have cultivated corn for 5,000 years
Chalk taste because it is higher in starch compared to what humans eat
Not seen a cow take to using shackles that quickly before wonder if she had them on after she calved last year
Now you have said that I completely agree I didn’t give it a second thought
You need a robotic scraper, expensive but all that scraping is so labour intensive it counteracts the labour saving from the milking robot
Robotic scraper is in the plans for the future as she has talked about it lots in previous videos, but having just finished building the cow shed this year and with the price of them as you know it's not that high on the priority list
You can get a kind of snow shovel with wheels. Would that clear out the dry “s h one t” between the pillars?
Computers GIGO.. Garbage in, Garbage out

The metal roof support's that are exposed to the cow muck will rot.
I’d have thought so as well x x
Did you say there is no forkin waste?
No forking it up 😂😂
greetings to all! ov apart from the usual vegi, vegan or cyclists
First
Corn on the cob for animal feed. Grow it near a town they come out and steal it but are unable to eat it. Waste of effort for both parties!
Second
Third
That silage is not pushed up not enough feed passage should never be like that
When I come out in a morning that’s exactly what it’s like before I’ve pushed up you can’t stop them pushing it away
@@charlotteashleyfarm push it up last thing at night seeing it look like that tells an experienced dairy they have went to long without it being pushed up all that will do like that is cause you real problems with your cows especially after calving they need kept full too transition properly and milk it’s not criticism it’s a bit of advice
@@Gary-bg6mcdairy cows need feed 24 hours a day bare concrete does them no good. Clean up refusal every day before fresh feed
