Onew's vocal is the reason I got into SHINee. His vocal is so distinguished, you can hear him clearly at the background of every SHINee's song. He is underappreciated simply because he's a bit on the shy side. He's quiet, calm and peaceful, except for when he's singing, oh wait, he is calm when he's singing too. Only true fans will know his true ability. I hope he will be able to reach out to more people with the next comeback.

What I love about SHINee is that they all have a sort of unlikely-to-sing-pop voice. Especially Onew who has more of a rounder, classical tone to his voice but when people like that sing in a genre they usually wouldn't it can sound extra special.
I first listened to SHINee because of Minho and actually didn’t think I would like them as a group after listening to Ring Ding Dong, Replay and Hello. Then I chanced upon an a capella version of Prism and was hooked! Onew’s voice just drew me to more of their songs. Later on, I would realize that most of them actually have very unique vocal tones (Taemin’s is the least distinctive, I think) that you can easily distinguish their voices in the ocean of Kpop songs. I also love how perfectly they can harmonize and evoke emotions through their songs. Absolutely love SHINee, absolutely love Onew!
