You really make my heart jump.
I'm 73 living on my own after my husband passed away a year ago.
I am enjoying these videos so much.
I'm the Afrikaans friend and my memory isn't that good.
    Those tiny woolies are beautiful.
In the late 1960s those were my colours, I even had an orange sheet.
When I became pregnant, I had so much fun with the nursery's decoration.
And that wool is exactly the colours I used, l painted daisies, orange and yellow with dark brown centres, 8cm on calico, a lite bage fabric I love on the lampshade and the frill of the "wiegie". The curtains were a light brown with bunches of daisies in the above colours.
I didn't care what people thought, because I didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl.
Heart jumping memories 49 years ago in South Africa.
My second husband was British born, but lived most of his life in SA and could speak Afrikaans.
19 years ago we came to England.
You do remind me of myself in SA at your age.
    Never change

You have me obsessed with granny squares and I dream of being like you crocheting one a day in the morning. I did take a crochet class and now have five finished grannies which I will learn how to attach them tomorrow. Thank you.

How lovely that you were able to find a simpatico buyer for your caravan. It makes to saying goodbye to the journeys in it, so much easier.

Dear, darling Sarah, I’m so inspired by you and this week you casted on a shawl but without a pattern and I thought of you because I did the same, in a beautiful yarn from my stash, Knitting for Olive in the Cotton Merino (70% cotton, 30% merino) in Koala dark gray, and then I decided to knit the Waiting for Rain shawl, which is so lovely, with it’s gorgeous “cracks of lace” in it, and many variables and variations that can be done with it, and a file by the designer with some variation ideas from knitters.. me, I’m doing the pattern I’ve decided now, but with one variation to accommodate my Cotton Merino because it is not stretchy and is very inert.. the edge is not stretchy at all so I’m adding a YO on the WS after the first stitch on both ends, and on the RS I’m dropping the extra stitch on both ends and that makes for an extra-long stitch and just enough to make the edge not tight. Ahhh… it’s a lovely pattern for lovely yarn.. but any yarn, and any weight in fact, and any size using any variation of the pattern is lovely.. it’s so heart-jumping to make and wear. Love to you Sarah. ❤️

I love your Sommerknus and the colour you chose for it. It suits you really well. I had to buy the pattern! I’m so glad your caravan is going to live with some knitting/crafty people, and maybe you will even see her again at some woolly gatherings! I am looking forward to seeing how you personalise your new campervan. Those miniskeins will make fabulous socks. 🤎🤎🤎

Aw Sarah, you are heart jumping today when you put on your new tee. I can see you making another Sommerknus with a crocheted bottom bit? Or a finge, perhaps? It suits you so well. I think the pink on your bag is 'salmon pink'. ❤❤❤

Morning sad to see the beautiful caravan has gone. New adventures though 😊. I wouldn’t worry about talking to yourself with people around, you could be FaceTiming or on the phone 📱 😂

Maybe if you imagine you are on the phone with someone on a video call to help you feel more comfortable. So happy you have someone who is a crafter to purchase your caravan.

I find it so interesting that many Dutch words are pronounced just like in Portuguese! We also have the word “mate” to express the non brilliant idea. And the other day you said the word “caos” just like we say it here. I love languages.

Hi Sarah, I am messaging because I saw one of your earlier membership videos where you have explained about woolly tattooes … I had asked if you could explain that for the members Friday video…therefore please don’t feel you have to answer that question again. Instead I wonder if you could tell us more about the beautiful windows dressing in the place by your piano, it lloks like lace. Did you make this please? Debbie x

Hi Sarah, you were at length speaking yesterday about music, but didn’t say anything about the wonderful piano in your dining area/ crafty place. Is it a silent one? And do you like classical music?
