    I totally feel the “we’re doing this whole lesson for the oldest child” or at least it can feel that way sometimes! But the younger ones do surprise me sometimes of how much they’ve absorbed!

    • @TheseDays
      @TheseDays  2 года назад

      Yes you’re right, they do absorb a lot! Just definitely harder to keep their attention lol in my case!

    We use BFB for the Around the World in Picture Books. We are doing one country a month:) and we listened through that Pilgrim book last year on audio and it was great! Need to start it back up again for November!

    I think I did know that that the Pilgrims went to Holland first, but what I learned this year from a book that I read to the kids at Thanksgiving was that they started sail for the Americas in 2 boats and had to go back because one of them kept breaking. Crazy what we either forget or were never taught in our education.

    • @TheseDays
      @TheseDays  2 года назад

      I agree! I didn’t know about holland or the two boats! I’ve learned so much through this curriculum myself!

    How did you feel about the book Child's first book of American History? I saw some reviews that saw it as a little dated and problematic in the vocabulary and the way they presented some native americans/ American Indians. Did you use it? skip it? find something else? Thank you so much for these reviews
