I can totally relate to that feeling of getting a new piece of equipment, and the headache of having to figure it out all on your own. I have a soccer store and I have had to figure out my fair share of stuff on my own. From vinyl cutters, to computer software/hardware, to screen printing. I think that is why being an entrepreneur is so damn hard, because you are doing it on your own, because you have to figure it out on your own, so you can make the money. That is also why not many venture into starting their own business, and many who do, don't succeed. It's because those challenges feel like defeats, and they wear you down; but you've got to know when to take a break, get fresh ideas, or a new perspective and have at it again. As frustrating and discouraging at times as it may be, it is highly rewarding once you figure it out. I love that you handle challenges with such enthusiasm. Keep doing your thing Reyes!
Product won't be sitting in slot right anyway after tipping snack machine in its side. Plus snacks need to be kept climate controlled. Don't even move a beverage machine with product in it. Damage to everything machine and product will get damaged. 50% heavier too heavy
Just a word of advice. When transporting anything that has a refrigerator unit in it and it is laid down on its side/moved then you want to let it sit upright as long as possible or at least a couple of hours. A refrigerator should never be moved on its side. It can cause major cooling issues. It is best to transport anything with a refrigerator unit in it upright then you can plug it in almost immediately. I just want to save you the headache!
I work for a vending machine company and i recommend you to install card readers on the machines because you will be surprised how many people dont carry cash.
Hey Reyes keep an eye out on your change from the machines. All dimes and quarters made before 1964 are 90 percent silver and a quarter alone is worth 2to4 dollars!
Best option would be to buy a 2000s pick up buy a 4x6 trailer with ramp and hydraulic tandom dollies and a heavy duty appliance dolly with all-terrain wheels, this isn't only for a snack machine business but for almost all business trucks are alot better and if your vending machine business really starts taking off I recommend buying a stair climbing dolly exclusively for.vending machines of course they cost like 3 grand but I rented one and I was able move a vending machine alone with out help, but of course I'm a beast but still it was easy lol
Lol you can get a good vending machine dolly for 1500 bucks my step sisters boyfriend has a 200+ vending machine business and when I help him I could move them myself with the dolly. A stair climber is just excessively more expensive those machines can run over 7 grand. LOL
REYEEEEEES! I move machines fairly often. Try renting cargo vans from Hertz, they offer unlimited miles. I often get the Sprinter full size for $50 a day unlimited miles. You haul gets very expensive very quickly. But when you are moving 4 or more machines at a time, it is worth it. Also, Uhaul trailers have unlimited miles and are uber cheap!
Moy2005 you have to have a resale license and you have to pay inventory taxes or charge the customer taxes but you pay them one way or another. Upfront or customer pays it, but you still pay taxes

Those sometimes get broken into by homeless people at those locations so it has it's risk. In addition prepare to clean the coin slot as many use the quarters that the washers/dryers will not accept due to being so dirty for something out of them, and it gums up the mechanism.

From my experience. You could ask pepsi or coke to lease their machines. They provide the product all you do is stock them. I know they really dont want the small locations were they have to park their big rig to restock. also they might give you the big locations to were the locations need multi restocks. They rather stock the huge locations like walmart or supercenters. Doesnt hurt to ask.

Tip: check the location, before hand, to see if it's a high foot traffic area. This leads to better chances of better revenue versus choosing the first place to accept your machines!

I used to do the gumball machines. One thing I learned is------NEVER transport/deliver your machine when the machine is stocked up. Transport the machine when it is empty, and then fill it when you have it set up at the location. That way, moving the machine is alot easier because it is not as heavy, ESPECIALLY that soda machine. Also, when you transport the machine if it is full of product, the product can move around in there and become dislodged, which would cause you to adjust your product after setup, or fix the release catches.

I agree with this person. Laying the machine on its side will definitely screw up the compressor. And when you stand it up you should let it sit for about 30 min to an hour before you run it. I grew up with a father that does A/C and refrigeration.

I agree with this person. Laying the machine on its side will definitely screw up the compressor. And when you stand it up you should let it sit for about 30 min to an hour before you run it. I grew up with a father that does A/C and refrigeration.
