Further downstream this is the same river that the local moving water people use for courses and 'ShinDig'. This section has limited whitewater but lots of moving water - it is one of my favourite places. I was surprised that there was still quite a bit of water.
It takes extra time, but I get to repeat the best sections. The last clip I did on Hazel Creek I added a little more than 30% additional distance going back and forth to setup and pickup camera.
I have thought about a drone as well - although maybe a friend to fly as well. Many of the rivers I paddle/pole have a lot of overhanging trees and it would be just my luck to crash (then drop in the water).
@@CharlesBurchill I like this idea, but my kids are older and so are their friends, so any that have one are now at a distance physically and personally. I hired a friend's son who was studying film, for a day. A buddy ferried him in a canoe and he was to film me poling. Rain and horizontal sleet ensued. No usable footage. I think I should stop being lazy!
Nice to see poling techniques
Been doing it for 20 years
It is a dying art !
Thanks! I hope to keep it going here for a bit anyway.
What a nice little river. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks
Beautiful, suorised you didn't see a you tube gold mine messing up another stream
This river does have tubers but this section it is not heavily used (mostly locals). Access is not as easy as some of the other more popular areas.
Love this little trip! I am too lazy to set up a camera, but I think that I had better. Looks great!

@@CharlesBurchill Now I just need water in my rivers!
I often think a drone camera would be good to save time. Set it on a rock to film the bit you want, then fly it back to you to save another trip.
