    The randle brunson fit was always kinda clunky. Towns fits next to brunson so much better because of the significantly better perimeter shooting he offers. Brunson and randle are both leftys who like to attack the same spots on the court, and when randle clears out defenses could easily collapse on brunson without fearing a randle 3. Teams wont be able to do that to Brunson when its Kat who clears out onto the 3 point line since hes a far bigger threat there, so the space inside the 3 point line will be significantly less congested which will unlock Brunson even more

    Wtf just happened why did the knicks give up a 6th man of the year candidate and an all NBA player for a dude getting benched in the 4th for naz reid. As a knicks fan I would have rather got Naz Reid. Holy shit our defense is going to be garbage with brusen and towns on the floor together.

    • @Sutairn
      @Sutairn Месяц назад

      The only reason I can see why this happened is if randle went to Rose and said "I am not playing center, trade for a center or trade me". But how the heck did the knicks get fleeced this bad, the also put a first round pick in this, dear jesus wolves better of agreed to trade knicks Ant when he wants out in like 6 years.

      @@Sutairn A first rounder that likely won't convey and Randle didn't exactly light the world on fire as a defender. But complain more.

      You don't know anything about basketball. I'm a Knicks fan and have watched Randle the whole time he was here. He choked every year in the playoffs, he dribbles to much and takes horrible shots. He is too short to guard centers on switches. He is a inconsistent shooter and a bad floor spacer, plus he's way too sensitive and cries over every foul. The Knicks almost went to the conference finals without him but Brunson got injured.

    • @SaySpawn
      @SaySpawn Месяц назад +1

      Your clueless. Randle chokes every year in the playoffs. He dribbles too much and he takes horrible shots. He is too small to guard centers on switches(JOKIC is going to destroy him and Rudy Gobert). Randle is hypersensitive and argues every foul call. We are sick of him and his inconsistent shooting. The Knicks almost made it to the East Finals WITHOUT him but Brunson and OG got hurt. Now we added Mikal Bridges and a 40% 3 point shooter to help space the floor for Brunson. That Rudy Gobert and Randle frontcourt is going to provide a lot of laughs. The Knicks won the trade.

    It's kinda like they betrayed Brunson, he took a pay cut to keep the Nova boys together...then Divo gets caught as a casualty of business, smh...cuz business wise Randle had to go, so better getting something for him than nothing...

  • @johnezzard680
    @johnezzard680 Месяц назад +2

    Knicks gave up one player from the bench, essentially, and now the team lost all it's depth? C'mon.
    You liked the idea of the team switching, OG and Bridges playing up and down, but now Randle for Towns ruins that? When Randle can only really play the 4?
    Don't say "Randle played the 5 some at New Orleans, because Thibs has never wanted or trusted Randle to play the 5 as a Knick, and it's not like they couldn't have used that offensive boost at times. Instead, he rolled out Taj, Sims, Precious, you name it.
    Towns can at least slide from 4 to 5 and back
    Defensively, might that be an issue? Maybe. Probably.
    Do they lose Donte's shooting and the POTENTIAL ability to fully go 5 out? Yes. They could still do that with Brunson, McBride, Bridges, OG and Towns, but I get the backcourt is small.
    Some of these objections feel...forced or not well thought out.
    Good show otherwise.

    Championship contenders have a high ceiling. The Knicks just raised their ceiling. I love Randle but Towns has a better playoff resume and it’s not close. He’s made the post season 4 times with the wolves and is a career 19/10 playoff performer. Randle even when present has done nothing.

    20:21 Knicks will have a top 10 defense. OG and Bridges along with Hart. Probably a top five perimeter defense easily. If and it’s a big IF the Knicks don’t trade Robinson and he returns maybe February in shape they definitely finish top five in defense overall.
