I am a baby crochet beginner and this tutorial was excellent, you explained everything so clearly and I was able to make this for my daughter! Thank you!
I just wanted to say I have never crocheted prior to attempting this drawstring bag. I have now successfully crocheted four of these little bags for my friends that I campaign with. Thank you for the excellent tutorial!
I just started crocheting and have watched about a hundred videos and yours has been the absolute best by far. Thank you for your time and patience in making this video. 😊
I'm an archer and a beginner in crochet. I successfully crochet this mini bag for my quiver pouch. Thank you, the steps are clear and easy to follow. Keep making these tutorial videos. All the best! oh I did white and navy
I am an absolute beginner and your video had clear instructions with examples and was so easy to follow along. I enjoyed the whole process, and cannot thankyou enough for taking time to make this video for people like me. THANKYOU!!!
the very first crochet piece i ever made! bag came out larger than i expected cause i was getting carried away lol but thank you so much for this! your instructions were very clear
This is the best tutorial for magic circles! I tried magic circles a year or so ago but gave up because I was not getting it right and got discouraged. Found your video a few days ago and decided to try making this tonight, expecting to not get it right and needing to try again tomorrow, but I got it on my first try thanks to your video! Thank you!!
Shout out to GS crochet!😂 I finally found the best RUclipsr to crochet with. You used to bother me with your, “ like so” s, but I found they were the perfect way to fix my circle. Thank, I’m gonna stick with you, for now.😅❤
Thank you for this tutorial. I am new to crochet and was able to mostly make it. I messed up somewhere so it turned out a bit wonky, but I absolutely love it!
👍 👍 Great 👍 👍 👍 This is excellent video for absolute beginner the best channel fantastic teacher I could watch video at normal speed for other channels watched at .25speed still unable to do
Your videos are great! I am very new to crocheting and I managed to make a beautiful drawstring bag thanks to you. I made a few mistakes but I will definitely do more and hopefully get better with each one. Only thing I found a little hard to understand (I feel that you went a little fast) was after making the row of holes for the string, the next row was a bit hard to follow. But I still managed to make the bag :) Thank you!
Thank you for the video!! Super easy to follow as a beginner! I love my little bag! I do think tho it might be easier if you can put in wording on the screen the patterns at the beginning of each row 😊😊😊
Love this. How much yarn did this bag use please? Or if you have tutorial of using mixed colors please. I really love this and want to try out, but i had small yarn rolls of different colors. I actually bought yarn online and i thought it would be long, there were 6 colors pack. 😢😢unfortunately it came small rolls
Mine came out getting smaller and smaller at the top def not as perfect and clean as her idk how she did it it was my first time tho. But this is the first tutorial that wasn’t confusing dispute what I did😂
I thought I followed along perfectly but by the end my bag was maybe 4-5x bigger than hers LOL I still love it though. Just kinda funny i must have lost track and just kept expanding lol
Hello, and thank you for the question! In my opinion, it doesn't matter where you slip stitch. If you slip stitch into the chain 1, then you put your first single crochet in the next stitch (aka the 1st real stitch). But if you slip stitch into the 1st real stitch, then you have to put your first sc into the same place where you slip stitched. Please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!
I often have trouble remembering where to insert the slip stitch to close a round. Does it go into the first stitch of the round? And does that mean we ignore the slip stitch and the chain in the beginning of the round?
Hello! To close off each round, we slip stitch into the very first stitch of the round. So for this mini bag, we would slip stich into the very first single crochet we made for each round, then we would chain 1. Then, we would start the next round by making your first single crochet in the same place where we slip stitched. And yes, we always skip the slip stitch and chain 1 that we make to close off each round. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, please let me know!
@@GSCrochet Thank you for your help. And this slip stitch and the turning chain don't count, do they? I know it may be obvious to the experienced, but after doing several rounds, I find it easy to mistake these for the reguar SCs.
Hello again! No, the slip stich and chain one do not count in the rounds. The only things that need to be kept in mind are how many single crochet stitches are made each round. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Dude! This is the first tutorial that I have been able to actually follow! Thank you so much!!

This was very clear, thank you! Do you have a a written pattern though?
if you want the bumps to be more pronounced, do 1sc, 2dc, 1tr, 2dc, 1sc and repeat : )

I’m on to my second one of these and I’m going to make it striped, wish me luck.
btw guys if you did the bag about as big as hers no matter the length (how tall it is) she did around 65 chains for the drawstring as a reference
Thank you!
thank you so much! I was struggling but you made it so much simple for me 🌻

1 2 3 4 5 / 10 of the 36 single crochet left of at 11:50 temporary stop cause I ran out of yarn

Note to self:
Left off at 11:15 36 single crochet stitches per round, do about 10 more rounds
0:58 make a loop
12:19 holes for drawstring
17:21 end bag
18:03 sew in ends
19:51 make drawstring
This was amazing! Thank you!
I love this video! You are amazing at explaining! Thx
It helped me!
How many chains did you do for the string ?
I thought I followed along perfectly but by the end my bag was maybe 4-5x bigger than hers LOL I still love it though. Just kinda funny i must have lost track and just kept expanding lol

How do you make it bigger
Just learing I forgot to add up row but will write pattern thank you
Can u make a bigger version?
Do we slip stitch into the chain 1, or into the first real stitch of each row?

crocheting has made me realise how bad I am at counting
no cuz fr
Hermoso todo intentaré hacerlo
this looks so pretty! would you be able to figure out how many grams of yarn was used? trying to use up my scraps :)
You an try to weigh the finished product and the yearn scraps you have to see how much both are and if it would be a ought :)
