I have lived your experiment. I am gay, and from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I escaped to West Hollywood 21 years ago, where I could hold my boyfriend's hand in public for the first time without fearing violent repercussions.
In contrast, I was legally fired in Oklahoma for being gay, and had absolutely no recourse.
Dave Rubin lives in West Hollywood as well. It's a town literally chartered for gay people. Everyone else is included, of course, but being gay there is very much celebrated. Dave Rubin should move where his base is.

Rubin as a person is not the relevant part. He has given a voice and a platform for a lot of the people on the left/center who reject the direction the left is going with identity politics and extreme PC outrage bordering on the same tendencies we see from the extreme right. Doing this clean-up-job he has made his brand toxic to a lot of the left and he is now forced to pander to a more conservative audience than he likes to be able to make a living and stay relevant.

I think everyone agrees: too much generality is racism and bigotry, while too much focus on individuality may ignore certain systemic and structural issues relating to the general characteristics of a population of people. But both ways are detrimental. They are polarizations, like the male emphasis on individuality and the female emphasis on group identity, and needs to be balanced like a healthy marriage. It's like an employee of a company that hates his job: he has to keep the job to make money. Yet, he doesn't like the work. So to maintain his pay WHILE ALSO STABBING HIS COMPANY IN THE BACK he publicly supports the company and simultaneously does things that could harm the financials of the business.
Dave Ruben knows he has to maintain at least some publicity to make money. So he feigns being a leftist, when he's not really a left winger. He agrees more with right wingers, but he can't admit that. That would alienate his fans. So, he does, honestly the smart thing, and deceives people.

He seems to push forward with his principles for better or worse, regardless of whether they are right or left leaning. He is constantly pissing off people from both ends of the spectrum.
Dave Dunce Rubin on the other hand. You can clearly see he will pander to whatever side will give him that sweet patreon money. You can actually observe his process of pandering to the right and ignoring criticism from the left and building a following of toxic weak minded people who cant think for themselves and prefer to be told how it is by some faux intellectual.

As a white person, I have been regularly, randomly, stopped in my car by the police for years during my 20s and early 30s. It would drive me nuts because I wasn't violating any traffic laws. I would get pulled over and searched just because of the neighborhood I worked in. They kept thinking I was on drugs, but never found any, and no matter how many times I would prove (with documentation) that I actually worked there, they would still harass me. I am definitely a white person. Cops profile, and if they see a white person in a black neighborhood, they automatically think they're on drugs and will harass the hell out of them. I do believe they profile blacks, but I'm just saying it doesn't only happen to blacks. And yes, I was almost killed by one of them one time. It was only by God's grace that I lived through the encounter. I swear the guy was on steroids because why would someone be that crazy and do everything he can to escalate the situation? Some of these guys should not be police officers.

'...and if they see a white person in a black neighborhood, they automatically think you're on drugs' This says more about their attitude about black neighborhoods being drug spots, than it does about you being white. Since it's probable people actually living there 24/7 are being stopped more than you.
The only reason you're getting stopped seems to be because you're in what they consider 'bad company.' You got a microcosm of their experience just by association. But you get to leave after work. The black people there don't get to 'leave' being black.

Fun anecdote. I am a private maid. I used to work for this one white family. One of the 3 kids is African American and adopted. The other 2 are their biological children and white. The white mom told me she couldn't understand her adooted child's behavioural issues.
I asked if she's meeting and seeing her parents as friends with other AA folks.
The mom tells me, "yes! She knows John (my husband, who is black. Im white) and I ONLY take her to black women to do her hair."
I point out that the only people who look like her that she sees mom and dad interact with are people they pay to do things for them. They don't socialize with ANY non whites.
Lost that job but I said what I needed to.

The Arrogant laughing at statements they make which aren't even convincing to their argument is the same way people are behaving today which is making this country look like uninformed uneducated dimwits. And his desire to want to debate in order to "destroy" dave supports your statement about not wanting to find Solutions. As we're Dave himself along with Peterson Sam Eric Weinstein and Joe Rogan can all have conversations with each other rather than debate and point fingers. But I find it most hilarious how they compared slave owners who had people working in their homes to Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin being on tour together. The slaves who worked and lived in the homes with their owners were still slaves. Peterson and Ruben are equals speaking to each other in front of diverse crowds. They each get a check and go home and sleep in their own beds and have the freedom to do whatever they want immediately after the show. I would like to know how many slave owners teamed up with their slaves in order to equally earn a paycheck. Hey suggestion guys could you let the clips play out and then explain. It's a bit hard to follow if you haven't previously seen the clip. Or give a full explanation before the longer clip.

No, Cause if they let the clips play out, It would be impossible to misconstrue what is being said in these clips.

The problem with the racism argument is that it removes personal responsibility. If a black man wants to break the chain, it’s on him personally to do that, not the federal government

@@dwells7747 Because it absurd. A fundamental element of racism is that their are EXTERNAL factors to you, namely bias against you because of your race, that is outside of your control. Now, how's the details of racism unclear, even denied in this Society, it's impossible for you to know exactly which is your choice will cause you to suffer greater repercussions are any repercussions, versus the majority of society.
We can synthesize the big stuff like a difference in criminal prosecution for things like drug use or first sentence, but I have seen minorities be prosecuted and sentenced for " terrorist threat" for simply saying " I could kill you" with no follow-up, simply out of anger. Meanwhile in that same setting, with the same people, I have seen whites make far more elaborate threats, and have to be restrained, with no punishment.
it's a bewildering world, will your constantly walking on eggshells, never knowing exactly which rules apply to you, and to what extent.
