  • In 2003 after the implosion of the Libertines Peter Doherty approached me saying that he wished to become a new kind of artist for a new age.
It was clear that Peter was capable of rising to this challenge and that the conventional music business was failing to rise to the possibilities of the new technology. Peter's strength lay in his vision, his talent and determination. Specifically he understood the value of collaboration and demonstrated a unique quality of dissolving the boundaries between himself, other musicians and artists to produce exceptional work that was greater than the sum of its parts. We began a collaboration in which I stressed the importance of multi media.
Using cassette-tape recording equipment then later Sony mini dv and Apple iMac and iphones I was privileged to collaborate in the production of creative material in many formats by perhaps the most significant musician and artist of my generation - here you will find over 100 original raw, "first time" recordings of Peter Doherty songs as he wrote and developed new songs.
