Lmao your downpicking speed increased more in 1 year than my 4 years
Haha that might be because I didn't do anything else other than downpicking xD My advice would be to do various warm up excercises with a metronome, and learn to play some downpicking metallica songs then.
@@DiscoDevil u learn notes or something looks like that ?
He learnt more in 1 year than i did in 4. At least i can downpick super quick 😂
I’ve been playing for a year now love your progress man posting my progress video very soon
It’s all about practicing everyday.. no one seems to do that, and wonder why they aren’t progressing..
watching this late night as I have decided to start my journey tomorrow! Really inspirational!!
Daamn you bought a lot of guitars just in a year
i actually currently own four guitars :) i sometimes bought one and then resold it
@@DiscoDevil oh ok, lol
Hell yeah, shredding! 🤘🤘
How do play so cleanly??? almost playing for 11 months by the way and I practice like hell of a lot, 14 years old.
i dont really play that clean hahah but im trying to improve. Try to learn the song clean and slow and then work up the speed :)
@@DiscoDevil Well, we need to work our left and right hand muting.
@@DiscoDevil Ah yes the ling ling method
I've been playing guitar on and off for about 8 years now. But watching this makes me realize how good I could've been and how I could've been rocking my favorite songs already if I just continued to practice instead of slacking off. I just bought my first guitar with my own money and I told myself that if I buy it I HAVE TO learn The Stage! My favorite song so it shouldn't be too hard lol
thanks man im glad this video inspired you :)
This man is faster at learning than I am T^T
Im glad i can learn a bit quicker than some people, but there are many people who learn EVEN faster hahaha
Damn.. This is Great. It reminds of the days when i started out, i just wanted to play the Songs i loved so much. Thank you! And Great progress!
thank you very much :) glad you feel that way :)
A real Metallica fan! 🤘🏼🔥
yeah man !!
Love these guitar progress vids and it goes to show that "you can't learn anything by doing it right!" 😁😁😁
just gonna let you know wich you probably already know when you become a guitarist the addiction to guitar never stops i have about 7 i have 8 if you include my base but i have 9 insturments in all if you include a piano
also a good way to get better is to play other instruments as well like piano or base it will open up new opportunities
Yeah I've thought about learning bass for a while now!
HOLY DAMN DUDE! You developed SO fast! Well done man, I am in Awe!
thank you so much :)!!
Rammstein very good very good
Guitar face on point! Great progress my man. You should be proud.
Unbelievable progress for just one year! Great job! You're a natural. I'm an unnatural.
Thanks dude. However far you are, just stay at it, you WILL make progress.
Wow, this is like looking into the past for me. So cool. I started the same way when I was about 15 years old. Same posters, same songs... similar first guitar. This is awesome man! Congrats on your journey! Never stop!
Man's got that FFDP drip
I've been playing for 7 and still have trouble playing half the stuff you do man that's awsome keep it up
thanks man, I definitely need to clean up my technique a bit, i assume youd be playing a lot cleaner than me
This dude has more guitars then me and I've been playing for 7 years 😂
Congratulations! Never stop learning 🎸
Thank you!
I am a metal head and I started playing guitar exactly a year ago and I would say that we have progressed exactly at the same rate. The only difference is that all I practice is DEATH by Chuck Schuldiner - which I highly recommend you to get into as i was your classic slayer fan before I discovered death i can tell you nothing beats Death riffs, solos and lyrics.
Awesome man! Keep it up! I actually recently discovered Spirit Crusher and I wanted to learn it immediately hahaha Great song, Great riffs
Death you say? You are now my friend
Crazy how much ur taste and timeline was a carbon copy of mine. Well done lad
hahah thanks man, glad you enjoy the same stuff
I love how you started out by playing metal on a strat lol
Hahahaha Gotta work with what ya got
Say that to kirk hammet
My arm is aching by how fast you were downpicking. Nice work. 🤘
Thank you man, its all warm up and repeated practice
Fuck man you are giving me anxiety how tf you got so good so fast, I've started myself for like 6 months now and I'm not even like a quater of what u are
thank you man
you should try something called rocksmith (with custom dlc), it will help you in improving
It's all about practice and repetition, like most other things. Develop a daily practice routine and stick with it, the hard work will pay off.
Practice and dont play the same thing everyday. I try to learn 2-3 songs a week and play them as perfectly as I possibly can, next week I repeat the songs I learnt to warm up then I learn some new songs. There was a time where I was playing the same stuff over and over and I wasnt really improving. I'm pretty sure that if you practice 1h a day and pick up songs that teach you all kinds of things you'll get where he is in no time.
You my man just gave me the big good ahead and buy a guitar and learn to play it...... thank you. And good for you man
hell yeah dude! so happy to heart that! good luck and stay strong, it can be tough sometimes
Bruh I've been playing for almost 2 years and still can't play master of puppets, well done!
thank you :)=
Hell yeah keep going \m/ playing Guitar brings alot of joy , especially when you passed the struggle at the early days !
I’m coming up to a year and I’m nowhere near as good as you, clear indication I need to put in more hours
its all practice and dedication :) try to pick it up as often as you can, youll imrpove like mad i promise
Damn congrats dude, that's fast progress. I started playing February 2020 and after watching this video I figured it out that I need to practice more and play more metal.
Metal is always a good choice ;) Keep it up man and thank you for the feedback!
Damn how many hours did you practice a day bro. Astonishing progress btw
Thank you very much! :) I would usually practice somewhere between 1 - 2 hours a day. Some days I would leave out or just practice for 30minutes.
@@DiscoDevil for real. You picked it up pretty quickly. I just started. Any particular training videos that you can recommend?
@@justinmaxwell8742 pentatonic scale and learn songs.
Thanks!
@@justinmaxwell8742 I started 4 years ago with Justinguitar's beginner course on youtube. Well organized, nicely explained and teaches you all the basics. After that course, you'll have a good understanding of fundamentals and you'll be able to easily learn some harder, more advanced stuff :) good luck my dude!
I always come back to this video for motivation
lol i started to play exaclty when you were finished your 1 year my progress is similar to yours
Awesome dude, keep it up!!
This video literally inspired me to pick up the guitar I bought 10 years ago and start learning. Thanks man.
thats so awesome man!! Makes me really happy to hear that. Good luck!
@@DiscoDevil No worries, to see the progress you made in a year was incredible. Really inspiring, can't wait to see your 2 year progress video.
