I knew Nick Khan was banking on it to cement his legacy in the company, so it had a lot behind it and I was super excited to see what Nick Khan pulling out all the stops looks like. It was disappointing.
I don't care about Tony or Nick Khan. I don't care about McMahon. I care about good wrestling. AEW has good wrestling. It hasn't disappointed me except for a Dynamite here and there. It's really petty of the WWE to break up the AEW/NJPW partnership. The only reason WWE would try partnering with NJPW is because Daniel Bryan and other WWE talents want to wrestle in Japan. Perhaps if Nick Khan and co. can improve their poor booking and creative, then perhaps their talent wouldn't be so keen on looking over the other side of the fence so often. Sad.

Does he not know who the hell Nick Khan is and his track record of securing deals? Why would you give the report any more legitimacy by mentioning it? The story just came out and Tony is already trying to make it into a non-story, which makes it seem like he is either worried or arrogant enough to believe that NJPW would not leave because of what he has done. Such an impulsive, foolish move by Tony.
WWE has been in talks with NJPW since March, Gallows and Anderson showing up on RAW 10/10/2022 might be a sign of a deal close to being made, Anderson still has never open title to defend next month vs Hikuleo in NJPW.
