Fun Fact: 98% of the audience there had NO IDEA who The Warning was. The most asked question was "Who is The Warning? And the second song EVOLVE blew the roof off. You need to react to THAT as well!!

More was to warm up the crowd … then destroying them with an amazing performance of Evolve. Both performances were perfection.
They were not ready for innocent and cute Paulina to turn into She-H...I mean Pau-Hulk behind the drum kit.
Definitely Evolve from this show. If you think Dany had attitude here, reserve judgment before seeing Pau in Evolve. When Pau issues orders, one dare not disobey.
This performance was so profound and unique to the MTVs, that when the warning finished, the director came up to them and said Holy s***, I'm a fan. That was incredible!
They performed More first, then Evolve second. Even if you've already reacted to Evolve, you should see the VMA performance. TWA considers it the best live performance to date. and of course you'll want to react to the OMV of Sick.
They are so freaking TIGHT! They performed this on one take like the consummate pros they are. 🤩
MTV has not seen that genuine a rock performance in a very long time. These ladies owned that place. Might want to consider the other song they did EVOLVE. They tore the place down with that one.
And of course, they just dropped a new single, S!CK. The official music video is a lot of fun and rocks hard.

the entire Teatro Met. concert is awesome
when DPA/TW play *MORE* live, it hits harder and has a rougher, grungier sound than the studio version in the OMV... the OMV is a fun video with DPA/TW playing and dancing around on a set that has a huge number of hidden Easter Eggs that long time followers will spot easily... for me, that brings back some memories of the fun videos we used to see on MTV back when it actually was "music videos all the time"... yes, i saw MTV's first broadcast when they officially came on the air 😹
i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug 2023) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep 2023)... three additional milestones are 1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs, and 2) they were invited to perform, and 3) they were not nominated for anything... that speaks volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years and, right now, most of that was while independent... i would also be remiss if i didn't mention that this performance was real unlike the other groups that also performed here... DPA/TW did both of their songs fully live and in one take while the others lip synced and took all three takes of which the ""best"" was selected for airplay... DPA/TW were also the only ones to be announced on the main stage when it was time to present their performance...
they have been playing for about 15 years which includes while they were learning and starting to become proficient at their art and individual instruments... they've been a band for 10 years... they have certainly worked long and hard on their art... to think that this all started because of the game Rock Band 🤯 😹

Do Evolve from the VMAs.
They recorded these songs on the Friday prior to the main event on Tuesday. There were three bands who recorded performances on the extended stage and could do 3 takes if needed. TW were the only band to use a single take.
I'm not surprised. They are unstoppable.
You've nailed it - The Warning toured a lot in 2023, opening for Muse in MX and in UK, toured in Europe, played at Rock Am Park and Rock am Ring. I think those experiences have really helped the girls develop - they were damn good before but now they are getting to scary good! Wait til you see Evolve also for the MTV VMAs - it is their penultimate performance to date. And, you have a really cool necklace!!

So I haven't seen comments on Ale's snarling bass while Dany is just singing. As an old bass player I will say that playing simple and strong, carrying the load, is not so easy...'cept for Ale.

More was a "cute" start - they blew of the roof with their second song "Evolve". Rumours saying the people at MTV still haven't found it until now.

They did, as you said, 'owned the stage,' and 'owned the room.' You also pointed out Dany's 'attitude.' And the fact all 3 are 'such rock stars'!
Evolve is a superior song to More in every way. It has what is probably the most powerful riff of the band. I'm pretty sure that if the awards were tomorrow, the first song would have been S!ck and the second Evolve.
Pau's live scream is almost better than the one in the video clip.

Honestly, watch the other one as well. "More" sounds like a pop song in comparison ( Oh yeah it kinda is...). The big change occurred in 2022. All three are now very serious prefessionals give what most other pros just don't...genuine passion. If you watch the VMA version of Evolve check out Dani's face after the last note. It says " Suck on that hiphoppers"

Ale is the key she can sing and is content with being a backup singer. When she decides that she wants to sing lead on a song that will be their HIT. ;)
My understanding was there were 3 or 4 acts that performed on this Doritos Extended Play stage, and were recorded, then short vids were shown during the actual VMA awards show to the live audience. Of The Warning's 2 songs only 45 seconds or so were played to the attendees. After hearing about this, TWA got all up in MTV's grill about it. My take is that IF MTV had shown the entirety of their performance, they would have had millions of TV viewers asking why these ladies weren't on the mainstage receiving awards!!

Their live shows hits differently and harder than the album versions or official videos. Maybe except for the ‘Martirio’ video. That’s a well made, epic video. So maybe after reacting to ‘Evolve’ MTV vid, maybe react to the ‘Martirio’ video. That’s a tour de force esp for Dany.
Thank you for this reaction and agreed with you. It was the stage confidence esp for Dany that changed for the band and propelled them to what they are now. Pau and Ale always had that confidence but I thought Dany needed more of that to really show what she can do with her voice. And I’m happy for them and will always root for their success. 👍🏼⚡️✌🏼⚡️🤘🏼
