Thank you . Powerful explanation. Sir i have a question. If i made a new violin design . I would like to simulation of the the sound before build it. How i can make that.
Greg this is beautiful - I love the series overall, but especially this work with the violin that sits so squarely at the intersection of two of your great passions. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself here.
Thanks Len - I have a lot more like this that I'll endeavor to share. But the violin is one of my faves for sure. I'll try not to make this the violin/guitar/RC Car/motorbike/watch movements channel... but that's what I tend to play with here at home!
Very nice. I've been using OS for about 7 years now. Jigs and fixtures. I deal with steels and aluminum so I don't get to do any surfacing, this is a real pleasure to watch. The ports for the clamps would be called "slotted holes" btw. Great work and thanks for sharing!
I was speechless watching your amazing work. As a violin teacher who is currently trying to create violin templates by using Onshape, I'm wondering how I can learn new things from your work.🔥
Thank you so much for the comment. I started playing the violin in elementary school and have been fascinated ever since. Various school projects, university projects, and now tinkering around for work I'm still hooked. If you have any questions or follow ups for your own work I'll be happy to try and help.
Thanks for stopping by and spending time in my playlist! The 2 part series on the violin was a bit more self indulgent than the others, but you can see it was necessary as there was a lot to say about it... Regarding making the project or aspects of it public is possible, but I'd want to clean things up a bit as it does contain all of the inner workings, failed attempts and experiments. Writing this I realize that it may actually be useful though to see it like this, so let me think on it some more.
Yes this would be a nice thing in a future video. Generally (as I put in the description) these are behind the scenes preps for demos I do at meeting etc, so having a full from scratch thing is less likely. However there are no hard and fast rules here - I might indeed try that in future.
Thank you .

Yes the slotted hole is the term I was probably searching for :) Thanks for sharing and hope you get to see some of my other videos.

@@gregbrown-onshape7555 I'm thankful for that. I would love to move on to help when my question(s) mature. 🙏
Hi Greg, this two-part series is fantastic!! Are the Onhape CAD files available for viewing/copying? I want to learn from your mastery if possible.

Your work is great but it will more understandable when the explanation was while designing the awesome violin!
