Safe fun travels around beautiful Italy. Lido an island off main VENICE is my favourite beach and pirate set ups with sun covers remotely while cycling was my favourite.
Oh the price of gondolas - we were there on Valentines day and managed to haggle a guy down to 60 but that was in 2008. What we took from it was the incredible skill of the gondolier! But as far as seeing the city, you didn't miss much by not taking the gondola. You can get the perspectives from water taxis. It was nice, but we felt really conspicuous. It was weird.

Another wonderful video. The painted houses are so beautiful but I somehow think they just wouldn’t look the same in Sunderland 😁. The bookbinding was so interesting and I have lots of quotes, all my father’s! I think my favourite is, life’s just a long weekend so make the most of it. My next favourite, used when we were children spinning a yarn, don’t try to convince me that horses droppings are Spanish oranges! 😬🤣🤣. While I recover from my shock of you giving away such a special notebook, I am so happy you went to Burano! It's such a quaint and quiet, little island. Did you buy any of their cookies? They're known for AMAZING cookies. I brought home 2 bags, because I am a cookie monster. I also hung out with the little old ladies and bought a folding fan covered in lace that one of them made. Instead of taking an outrageously expensive gondola ride, I stayed an extra 2 days in Venice instead. 🙂

Another very enjoyable ‘escape’ & fascinating wander through the streets of beautiful (& I found, quite surreal!) Venice & Burano. How wonderful to be invited behind the scenes of the book binder & learn about its history, things like that are priceless & so memorable. I painted our old cottage windows cornflower blue, when we first moved in, like they have in Provence! I think the choice of colour for my house would be burned yellow, a sunny, optimistic colour! Yes, houses could be so much jollier if people painted them, I agree. Fav quote, “Keep your face always towards the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you.”

we found a great option for venice, with a vehicle, is to stay across the bay, at Jesolo, very interesting and different, then catch the ferry to the islands. and the ferry to Venice, a ferry is a great way to arrive in Venice. we've had the smaller Soundcore speaker for some time, great sound and features, perfect for the van.

We LOVE Italy! It was a childhood dream to one day go to Venice. On our 25th Wedding Anniversary my husband took me there! It was our first trip ever out of America. We got the travel bug instantly. We went to Italy again 2 years later with our 3 daughters. We went this past summer for our 30th Anniversary. We joke we should go to other countries, (we will when we retire someday😊) but we still have a a few more trips at least to hit all the major parts of Italy❤️❤️❤️

Safe fun travels around beautiful Italy. Lido an island off main VENICE is my favourite beach and pirate set ups with sun covers remotely while cycling was my favourite.
Oh the price of gondolas - we were there on Valentines day and managed to haggle a guy down to 60 but that was in 2008. What we took from it was the incredible skill of the gondolier! But as far as seeing the city, you didn't miss much by not taking the gondola. You can get the perspectives from water taxis. It was nice, but we felt really conspicuous. It was weird.

Beautiful film, as always. I spent a few days in Venice a year before covid, and stayed in a locals area. It was quiet and peaceful. While I recover from my shock of you giving away such a special notebook, I am so happy you went to Burano! It's such a quaint and quiet, little island. Did you buy any of their cookies? They're known for AMAZING cookies. I brought home 2 bags, because I am a cookie monster. I also hung out with the little old ladies and bought a folding fan covered in lace that one of them made. Instead of taking an outrageously expensive gondola ride, I stayed an extra 2 days in Venice instead. 🙂

How wonderful to be invited behind the scenes of the book binder & learn about its history, things like that are priceless & so memorable. I painted our old cottage windows cornflower blue, when we first moved in, like they have in Provence! I think the choice of colour for my house would be burned yellow, a sunny, optimistic colour! Yes, houses could be so much jollier if people painted them, I agree. Fav quote, “Keep your face always towards the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you.”

We found a bit of hidden supermarket on entice bought lunch and drink and sat on a bridge on the water it was lovely. Loving your vlogs you are both so easy to watch and listen to. we found a great option for venice, with a vehicle, is to stay across the bay, at Jesolo, very interesting and different, then catch the ferry to the islands. and the ferry to Venice, a ferry is a great way to arrive in Venice.

You really captured the magic of the place! I got engaged to my now wife in Venice back in 2016 and it was an incredible place, even if a bit chilly! For the notebook, one of my favourite quotes is “however long the night, the dawn will always break” which seems particularly fitting now we have a 12 month old baby! Keep up the great work 👍

I went to Venice 3 yrs. ago for my 60th bday, and it was everything I thought it’d be and more! I met a lovely Australian couple who asked me if I’d like to share a gondola with them, because it was so expensive. I made some new friends and got to check off an amazing experience on my bucket list!

We love the channel and this video brought great memories of two visits to Venice, once on my own and later with my family.
