Star Trek Deep Space Nine - Quark's Cheers intro

- My Star Trek cheers parody. There was one done for TNG, and I thought I would do one for DS9, because after all Quarks bar is the best bar! I don't own the footage/pictures/music, this was done for fun and entertainment purposes only. I couldn't find the perfect font, and the text may pop up a bit quick, but I still think it captures the spirit all right.
Enjoy!
''I'll kill him!''
''With what?''
Sassy Odo may be the greatest thing I've ever seen
Quark: There's nothing here but worthless gold!
Odo: And it's all yours
snarky Odo is a work of art.
Sisko: “Do you think Quark has something to do with this?”
Odo: “I always investigate Quark.”
@@thejadondaviscommentaries1613 That was so hilarious!
ave you seen uh, Quark's apes.
(Morn walks into Quarks)
Everyone: MOOOOORN!!!
I believe some say they purposely gave Morn a name that was an anagram of "Norm," but that may be apocryphal.
@@gregorymatthews1881 that is true actually
I was beginning to think I was the only one that knew this. :-P
Then, one day when O'brien brings in Kirayoshi, and Morn comes in, the little guy calls out "MORN!"...and the bar goes silent.
Rom: How's the Galaxy treating you, Mr. Morn?
Morn: ...
Rom: Ah, say no more!
"Quark's is filmed in front of a live studio audience holo-suite."
I can't wait for when they give Worf a spin-off where he moves back to Earth and lives with Sergey Rozhenko and his El-Aurian physical therapist/healthcare aide.
Don't forget the dimensional jumping dog Porthos
I just don't know what to do with those Tossed Gagh and Scrambled Rokeg, it's coming again.
Both people who played Worf's human parents are now gone so the role would have to be recast.
Does that mean Paul Sorvino is Niles??
Paul Sorvino has the acting chops to be Niles or an equally enjoyable variation of him.
I like how Morn is an anagram of `Norm`
That's because Armin kept calling him Norm back at the beginning.
O.O
HOW did I miss that?? lol
That was the producers’ intentions.
He was norms character
Norm MacDonald? I wonder if Morn owned a doghouse
Come to Quark's, Quark's is fun...
Don't walk, run!
I love the part were his name rotates around.
@@scaper8 if all your little atverstivments are not out of the system when i come back from the gama quadrent i will come to quarks and believe me i will have fun!
I would so watch Quark's
1:07 Sisko looks like "Don't include me in this..."
Classic
I love the Pictures you chose for O'Brien and Quark.
RIP Rene Auberjonois
This is genius! As a fan of both shows, I salute you!
+PeachWookiee Thanks! I didn't expect this video to have more than 500 views over this amount of time, but I'm glad people are enjoying it!
+Joeker haha I was just watching DS9 and thought to myself "this is just 'Cheers in Space''" and as usual - someone had already thought of it and made brilliant use of it. Good job! :)
Although late I must add R.I.P. Rene Auberjonois who played Odo and Aaron Eisenberg who played Rom
Levois J. * Nog, not Rom🤭
Indomitable T uh oops 😬
Genius edit, throwing in the perfect cold open before the credits
"With what?" One of my favorite lines in all of Star Trek.
I play this on the video screen at my table when I go to conventions. It gets either the odd look or a crowd of laughing people.
Nice
the laugh track made me crack up... so corny
I can't believe how well this works especially when you know that Morn was based on Norm from Cheers.
Have you considered a Star Trek: Burn Notice theme for Garak as the focus?
[Opens with Garak in an op... on a phone call. "We got a burn notice on you. Your blacklisted"]
“When you’re burned, you’ve got nothing. No lek, no latinum, no job history.
You’re stuck on whatever space station they decide to dump you on.”
“Where am I?” “Bajor.”
“You do whatever work comes your way…”
*tailoring montage*
“You rely on anyone whose still talking to you…”
“The daughter of your sworn enemy…”
“A twinky Doctor who used to report on you to Starfleet intelligence…”
“Family too…”
“Hey, is that Enabran Tain again?”
“…if you’re desperate.”
“Bottom line, until the Dominion is defeated and Cardassia liberated… you’re not going anywhere.”
Outstanding job. I actually shed a tear when I saw Worf and Dax.
Poor sweet Jadzia 😭.
Damn you, Rick and Mike, she and Worf were going to be making babies 👿👿 👿!
Why did it take over 8 years for RUclips to recommend this masterpiece of content to me?
Words cannot express how much I love this
We need a "Lower Decks" version of "Quarks". Totally this all kinds of shady characters and famous characters from past STU episodes walking in to create havoc. It would be awesome.
The dead-eyed stare when it intros Benjamin Sisko, I died
Yeah... you and several other people...
"You're going to hit them with a box?" LOL!
Good old Odo, always being oh so literal.
I was a fan of CHEERS, back in the day, and have been a fan of Trek most of my life. Your video just got added to my rather large "Star Trek: Old and New" playlist! An excellent job!
True Star of the show is Morn
+jmm1233 Yeah, he always had the best lines...a bit chatty though.
When I used to play STO I would always drop by DS9 to catch up with Morn and spend hours chatting to him, though he always managed to skip out on paying the bill.
Well, at least Quark's had his place in Vegas for a Time . . .
"Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name..." - Vic's!!!
They're such a perfect sitcom couple xD
This is so good, it brought a huge grin to my face!
I laughed for about ten straight minutes until I started coughing too hard to continue. This is brilliant!
7 years later... I'm laughing and smiling thinking of you laughing. Thanks for the joy. I hope you are alive and healthy.
Morn!
It’d be cool if someone actually did all of Quarks bits in Cheers form with the laugh track…
"Come to Quarks, Quarks is fun, Come right now, Don't walk! RUN!" is a better theme.
BRILLIANT!!! Especially seeing as how Morn is a nod to Norm!!!
That first shot of O'Brian...
This is MASTERFUL
possibly the best thing I've ever seen
This is just fantastic, here were are in 2022 and this STILL is awesome! had to look this up today as the past few weeks Ive been watching through DS9 on Netflix
I can't like this hard enough ❤
There were several occasions when a Cheers character popped up on Star Trek or vice versa. One of my favorites is the end of a Frasier episode where Lilith meets an unusually charming man on the plane back to Boston who checks all her boxes and who just happens to be played by Brent Spiner aka Data the Android from TNG. And of course Bebe Neuwirth was a guest actor on an episode of TNG whose character offers to help Cdr Riker escape from his captors if he agrees to have sex with her, saying, "I've always wanted to make love to an alien." Neuwirth said she accepted the part just so she could say that line.
That first pic of O'Brian is incrediblely out of context.
Remember when Fraiser and Diane accidentally get Sisko to try and trick the Romulans into the Dominion War?
DS9 was the best Star Trek series. Change my pants, I mean mind.
It would have been awesome if they made a sitcom around Quark and his bar.
I thought that's what what DS9 was in 10% of the episodes.
Absolutely fantastic
My brother pointed this out the other day. DS9 is most definitely Cheers in Space.
that intro worked perfect. nicely edited
HAHA that O'brien pic killed me, nicely done
Interest chain of info that reminded me of this video.
Kirstie Alley died today.
Her TV debut was an episode of "The Old and The Beautiful" titled Quark.
Then her movie debut was as lieutenant Saavik in Star Trek II
Then she played Rebecca Howe in Cheers
This video then comes to mind
Darn it, now I want this spin-off to happen.
I know Quark's bar was the center of a few episodes.
omg, I love this...
How does this only have 53k views??!
Two bar's one Stage... nice!
Well Cheers and Frazier are holodeck programs so this makes sense.
Quarks is the bar I would go to. frequently
Morn walks in and everyone yells "Morn!"
Except he doesn’t walk in, he’s always already there.
@@matthew8153 Missed opportunity!
O'Brien must suffer, even in parody smash ups.
Not only is he sitting naked in a holding cell, the bloody Cardies just ripped one of his molars out.
Take all the monies! I need this show in my life.
Richard Benjamin may want to have several words with this Quark.
This was great, thanks for making this!
I do love its spin off , Bashir
You need to get a voice clip of Armin saying, "Quark's is filmed in front of a live studio audience."
Fun fact for those who may not know: Morn is based on Norm from Cheers.
I love this so much. 😎😂
Oh my God that's so funny. 🤣
Fantastic
Now this is a show I could get behind
Marvelous work, especially as Morn was supposed to be a salute to Norm Peterson. Sometimes I think I like DS9 even more than TNG, especially when Sisko realizes it's time to stop being Mr. Nice Guy and fight for what you believe in.
And he decked Q!
@@JeffDeWitt Lol! Yes! "You hit me! Picard never hit me!!"
This is pure genius 😂😂😂
Quarks - Holo-filmed in front of a live standing audience..... now in Firangi where available
@Joeker - this is delightful. Thank you.
Yes! They had Morn at the end.
That shot of O'Brien 😂 Poor O'Brien! Ah, I need to rewatch this series. The best Star Trek series.
Nice job on the laugh track.
Afternoon everybody.
MORN!!!!!!!!!
We could have had this. Instead, we got Star Trek Prodigy.
They look they had a lot of fun working with each other.
This is great, but there really should be a laugh on the food critic line!
I guess a Cheers parody of Quark’s bar was long overdue lol. Nice choice of stills.
actually kind of works... well, in fact... makes me wonder if ds9 could of been a comedy like red dwarf if they didnt do the whole star trek thing
Great idea. Any chance to get DS9 removed from the Federation? Though the wormhole would be a strategic advantage.
AWESOME !
I've just seen this for the first time and it's brilliant! 😂😂😂😂
Best scene
I would watch a series all about Quark and ferenginar
Font looks perfect to me - as does the whole intro!
Very good.
OK, it's 5am in the morning after a big night. ANd I have found this....
And you know what, CoVid take me now, my life is complete. No, wait, we need one scene where Morn walks ins and the crowd goes "Morn!!".
I think there might have been an episode where that happened. There's also a skit they did at the Emmys one year where Kate Mulgrew aka Captain Janeway tries to command her ship with the cast of Frasier as her crew and they aggravate her so much that she puts the ship on self-destruct. Kate also played a girlfriend of Sam's in an episode of Cheers; there were a lot of crossovers so there must have been a producer in common or something.
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
Lol why have I never seen this before? This is awesome!
Very clever...we need more of these...... well done my friend.
Armin (Quark) and Rene (Odo) was great friends and had the best onscreen chemistry together.
LOLZ at credits - "Fake Sisko"
This is awesome!
Its amazing how much better Deep Space Nine would be with a laugh track.
I just wish Morn would have shut the hell up for one heckin' episode.
yes
just
yes
Should have had a pic with all of them together at the end.
Really funny!!! Well done!!!
So cute
"Quark's is recorded in front of a holographic audience - it's cheaper that way."
Five people were ejected from the game by Odo
"You know Morn the funny thing about duh, Florida is you think they'd have a seperate time zone."
We are trying to make one. We want daylight savings year-round.
