Demon Lord actually was an entertaining anime. I can't point out why since the ecchi is not like it it's top of the crop. But I like the main characters, they are memorable and that's all that matters to me. Also S2 OP slaps way too hard.
As soon as you said "HTNSA Demon Lord is Ecchi" I immediately had to watch it. Just finished DxD the other week, it was just average as far as plot goes, but man alive the Oppai Dragon is some of the funniest writing in Anime history.
Haven't watched the series beyond clips, because I've read the LN, and man, if this series isn't my single most guilty pleasure lol. Thanks for the fun vid.
You should review No game no life Zero. It's actually canon, adapting backstory of the world, has a very different tone to season 1. Also you need to check classic like To Love RU and Urusei Yatsura (not remake, but maybe also remake)
Defending an Ecchi is a waste of time. It's just easier to say "I am a degen". My parents came over once and my mom was being judgy about my figure of Mai from Bunny Girl Senpai and we argued about why it's not degen for her to wear the bunny outfit because of "plot" for a solid half hour before I just said "YOU KNOW WHAT, I LIKE BUNNY GIRLS" and she was just like "oh that's fine then"
I decided to watch and also liked this anime -not despite- but BECAUSE it is garbage. I expected it to be trash and thoroughly enjoyed how delightfully trashy it is.

Nah, the MC acting out as the most badass ever while actually freaking out inside because his intention was to be chill is peak comedy and no one can convince me otherwise.
The MC in this anime is like if the MC became op but was still a loser. And everyone didn't realize but was blinded by his power. 😮💨 bro this MC honestly gives off major virgin vibes and stays that way plus if it's not something he's seen in the game he plays, he really doesn't come off intelligent.
I'm a big fan of Demon Isekai season 1. Sure it's a Mushoku Tensei rip-off, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining to watch. The contrast between the MC's outward confidence and his anxiety-filled internal monologues is the big draw (aside from the fan service). I was surprised how season 1 had an overarching theme of freedom; specifically Diablo helping the girls free themselves from the expectations forced on them by others. It really helped tie the show together. Season 2 lacked that theme and had a lot less variety of girls and ecchi, they definitely rushed it.
Honestly this anime really does embody my favorite line of " can you not focus on the tits for five minutes, I want to get back to the world building and character interaction."
Okay so funny story a year ago I was over at my friends house he played this in the living room and I was the only one who was considered bout being walked in on
I was brain dead tired, so I decided to watch something extremely dumb. This was a great pick for that. But then season 2 happened, and that's too dumb even for brain dead me.

The quality of ecchi anime is very easy to define, the more high quality doujins it has, the better the anime. By that flawless logic demon lord is mid, there is only one truly good h doujin out there, and some other bad or wierd ones.
I really hope you cover Engage Kiss from last. While first 3 episodes may be underwelming storyline from ep 4 to 10 may be the one of the best one in past few years and based on your other reviews I am 99% sure you will like it. Give it a trial it was made by author of one of White Album 2 routes and Saekano director
This anime is 100 times better than overlord. There is actually a story arc and plot. at first he is trying to survive. then he wants to go back. then he wants to protect those two girls. he is powerful but gets overpowered easily by many enemies and he only wins through strategy. and this is all in anime. I listen (not read) to Light novels of many anime series as I work so I have listened to many many LNs. one of them was this demon lord story which has 14 volumes. as the story goes ahead, he gets his ass kicked by demon lord elites. so much that he has to change class and start over. the echiness on the story gets less and the story arc and fight become much better. I hope the writer continues on writhing the story.
Good edgy games, anime and movies is the ones that doesn't take itself seriously. Someome once said that edgelords are people who want to be happy but can't for some reason, so they act all rebelious doing small "evil" deeds that no one would actually get hurted and they would always get back to be the good boy/girl before things get out of control. So if something edgy tries to take itself seriously it would just be dumb.
My biggest complaint with Demon Lord: Own it! Most ecchi, Demon Lord included, are cheap knock offs of existing series. They bounce between copying a couple of series and fan service like if you don't shot tits at a regular interval the audience will get bored. Channel your inner Master Roshi. (The abridged version) Stop being shy and stop beating around the bush. I was done with Diablo by the third episode. /Sarcas(Oh joy, another hormonal virgin who does know what to do. Haven't seen that in awhile. /end sarcasm.
Hey I'm sure Saul Goodman can defend Diablo from the Human Right activists because he didn't buy slave but they're the ones who changed themselves into slaves because of anime stupidity therefore he should be free from they're low accusation of following garbage isekai cliche obviously
This anime had a nice concept, being basically a reverse Overlord, but the author was too hasty on filling the fanservise checlist. I truely like Diabolo as a character and to see he realise the differences in the game he used to play and this new fantasy world, but the overuse of echi tropes waterdown a lot of the comedy.
I'm gonna assume the pacing is a adaptation issue but cant say with confidence sincr I never readed the novels, the ecchi and cliche on other hands are perfectly fine for me, sometimes just cliche lewd adventure is all needed

Tsukimichi is a good isekai I'd recommend. (Manga's definitely better tho )
