I feel so lucky that I waited 10 years to watch SAO so I got to see Abridged immediately after experiencing the show. (IMO Part 1 is the second best Isekai of all time.)

I actually liked this arc especially Kirito more than Aincrad because it exposed how vulnerable the MC was the entire time hiding most of his baggage in the first arc and then attempt to reinvent himself. Even though he was "JUST SO COOL" breezing through the sequel game, its obvious it was taking everything to keep himself from shattering every two episodes despite his macho act.
It also kind of makes sense that he can just breeze through the sequel game. He kept his stats from playing 2 years 24/7 of the other game with no level cap whereas everyone else presumably has to work or go to school or do something other than playing the game. His character's stats should simply be far and away completely above everyone else. Honestly, this sequel should have been even easier than it was to breeze though.
@@necoom true, only reason he had more trouble as a lvl 96 and lvl 1 is because of how ALO is designed. It had no numerical lvls if I recall correctly, relied more on real skill

Then it goes Thorfin storyline but having some to rely on as a good compass against leader of Twilight elves who tries as much as he can to destroy his hope even that wood tribe being literally anti twilight that succeed in the end with that twist in the end , having some cast around him Aura elf as a friend , Sylvan as a hope , Dark to spice up with bad genocidal friend and Twilight his chained rode to darkness . That just about Fin prospective without talking about origins of elves , even lots of other creatures in Swiftlands with other protagonists of their own species moreover there is nine worlds to discover I mostly still have only 4 with some plot and build up till now . Look at all of that and seeing that arc what a great loss of potential .
If you think that was a lot of sidetracking, then don't get me started about all the skipped story arc that happened after the diplomatic fight and the time Kirito and Leafe reached the tree (notice that the system says it was 4am when they get there despite still being daytime after the fight was over). One could argue that it is a good thig they skipped that, doing so pretty much ruined the Excalibur arc in season 2. And then people ask me why I think Accel World is vastly superior to SAO...
My favourite part of this season was the credit sequence on the final episode. Because that means the show is over, right? They wouldn't make more of these, right? Like with Guns or AI for example, right?
And very much destroyed SAO for me. I just imagined Kirito went to the police, show the photo of Asuna that other players somehow screen capture in the game and tell them to search though Rect or whatever the name of the company Sugou was running. Untill he went to prison serving his life sentence for trapping everyone in the game. And also traumatized Asuna by §*xual assaulting her in game. Which is so unforgivable and I'll never get over it now I've seen what he's done. I just wanna torture him myself but thank goodness Kirito managed to beat him somehow.
It was used as a scapegoat for the entire first season until everyone got the greenlight to hate on SAO properly/realized that the writing didn't just drive off a cliff in between arcs 1 and 2.
