This is the same James Darren who played ‘Tony’ in the tv series ‘The Time Tunnel’ during the 1966/67 season. As an 11 year old I just loved that show! To say the least JD was definitely multitalented.
My sister and I met him in 1973 at the county fair in cobleskill n.y..he was really friendly and took a Polaroid picture with us. My sister lost the photo. He was my celebrity crush after "gidget". I married my husband in 1961 because he looked like James darren. We were married 58 years until he passed away very suddenly last year.
I saw him in concert in 1978 or 79. He gave a great performance. He always gave a great screen presence in whatever program he happened to be in. Check him out in The guns of Navarone, wonderful.
I've been looking for this version for years. I saw James Darren and Hattie Winston (who is married to arranger Harold Wheeler)do this live on a variety show in the late '70's. Does anyone know what that show was?
