Kendrick Lamar received a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for his album 'Damn'. No other rapper has achieved that. Drake didn't do his homework. If he had, he wouldn't have challenged Kendrick. Now, DRAKE is said to mean 'Don't Rap Against Kendrick Ever'.

"You either become a hero or you live long enough to be the villain." Kendrick understood the assignment. In Like That, K sent shots to Drake and Cole if they wanted to shoot back. With Euphoria he gave out a warning shot, showcasing his ability on beat flips. 6:16 in LA was K going head up with Drake. Meet the Grahams was him exposing Drake to his own family. Not Like Us is him exposing Drake's whole crew OVO and entourage. What makes him a genius is he dissected Drake artistically, personally and professionally. He's quiet and positive but everyone calling him a villain when it was them that started it! You keep calling out the monster and get offended when the monster comes out!! Drake bit off more than he could chew 💯

Drake picking a beef with a Pulitzer Prize winning lyricist was like watching Side Show Bob constantly step on rakes on the Simpsons. His downfall is glorious to watch & a long time coming. As another old head from Toronto who grew up on Kardinal, Choclair & Fresh Wes in the 90s it shames me people think Drake is Toronto hip hop.

I completely understand your take on the Drake and Kendrick thing. Listening to Kendrick as inspirational as he is in his music he is just as much gutter. He says multiple time on different records just because I don’t talk about the same ish as y’all do don’t get it confused. Kendrick has literally bounced around every style known to music during this battle idk why Drake took this battle this man has a Pulitzer for a reason his music is studied in universities for a reason Drake should have never allowed his ego to step out of the realm of just rapping with Kendrick. Once he bought up Kendrick family it went downhill from there smh.

Love your reaction and can relate to your opinions…. I’m about to be 44 & know there’s nothing like 90’s/early 2000’s hip hop; kdot is an exception. I probably stopped actively listening when or just before Aubrey muddied & colonized the genre (I was born in Toronto by Trinidadian parents, and moved to fl at 16). Kendrick is definitely an old soul. That educated brother reminds me so much of Tupac (RIP). And yeah, Goodie Mobb & OutKast are some of my fav artists from the south (living in south FL/Broward county) - I could pop their records on or cds in (and of course, cassette tapes - rip lol) no matter what year it is, and I can listen from start to finish with zero skips.. Nothing anyone can do to stop Kendrick - that man is built differently in the best way possible for this generation & I LOVE it for my 19yo son (BEEN playing older music for him so he knows what REAL sh!t & lyricists are☺️). Thanks for the reaction! 🫶🏾

Yes sir definitely a goodie mob fan, Andre 3k to me is one of the best Lyricist of all time, if u notice Kendrick get his style from Andre 3k, via the voice manipulation in songs and flow changes . Andre 3k was known to talk on beats like he having a casual conversation, then switches his flow by rapping fast, pausing, rapping again using metaphors triple & double tundras, best example is Andre 3k legendary verse on aquemini.!! Andre3k & goodie mob had substance and dropped so many jewels in they're music!! I'm born n 93" but had a father who listened to all the southern goats! Jt money, ugk, etc

No Kendrick was always like that, Drake didn’t bring nothing out of him, expect Kendrick schooling him on what real original blk music sounds like ,when it’s your origin ,roots and culture. Blk producers, knew instruments did matter and music was not manufactured. Or filled with fake characters, trying to make their money off of blk culture.
The production on that track is fireeee that is what true excellence sounds like when you raise the bar and standard.Higher.

    Wise Won Again
I grew up in the 90's era to and I agree, that was an amazing time of hip hop. Then it just started to not resonate with me anymore and I got away from it, UNTIL NOW HAHA Saw Kendrick stepping in the ring and I definitely knew it would be grand but even I didn't see it coming this hard. I love it, he won in a way I absolutely love, old school vibes, 1v1 I'm coming for U, like back in the day and Oh yeah, I will beat u in your own lane for the final Knockout with a banger! Awesome, we as fans, I feel are the biggest winners out of this for sure! New to your channel, I grew up listening to Tupac, NWA, Bone thugs and Harmony etc... but we didn't have access to music like now, sadly. We couldn't afford to buy CD'S all the time, each of us would vote what CD to get that we would all share. Even though I'm white with all colors in my heart, my mom grew up around 8 mile in Detroit and she was always introducing us to Motown music, blues, she was a (temptations fanatic haha) and just any music she grew up with. That being said, would love any recommendations from the 90's that you feel are amazing classics of hip hop or any music that you felt sent a great mssg. Currently Jcole and KDot are in my top 5 etc but would love to know what i missed in those times. you mentioned a few in this vid ❤ @Wise Won Again

whats goooood we finally got there!! so this isnt technically the final installment, drake did respond with "the heart part 6" but it's such an embarrassingly bad track that he deleted it from all of his socials the other day lol. not even sure its worth your time to listen to it. guy basically contradicts himself several times and ends up getting proven later on that he lied about so much stuff in that track. some also really awful bars in terrible taste, i dont gotta say too much tho... dislike bar says it all it has like 2 million dislikes or somethin.
but yeah drake and kendrick didnt really go at each other randomly, they been tossin bars at each other for 11 years and it finally just boiled over. no idea why he thought he had a chance tho.
drakes been going out embarrassing himself even further, being seen in turks & caicos prolly doin drugs and buying women like kendrick said, he went on 2 features which are both so terrible people are wonderin if hes serious -- guy is for real spiralin.
meanwhile kendrick just yesterday popped out in public for the first time in months to do a commencement speech at compton community college. guys got so much class.
the contrast in character is wild.
appreciate the journey, you're a dope dude
also, kendrick's doin a show at the forum on juneteenth and it'll be livestreamed by amazonmusic if you feel like checkin it out. the livestream is a blessing tho because there's currently like a 120,000 queue for people trying to get tickets lmao
and last thing, if you wanna see what i mentioned with the bars at each other for 11 years, somebody put all of them into one video and its a dope watch to see the contrast of the two's delivery and style side by side. check it out here:

This isn’t solely true. This has been happening for a decade when Kendrick did the Control verse and called out all of hip hop. Instead of responding on wax to friendly competition like everyone else, Drake got upset and they’ve been going at it ever since. What made the battle start and the gloves were official off was when J Cole and Drake got together and did First person shooter and they mentioned Kendrick apart of the big 3 but they both said they are better than Kendrick. Kendrick responded with Like That saying F the big 3.
