All great strategies . I’ve been retired for 8 years and I definitely have better days/weeks/ months when I plan and have a routine and or list of daily aspirations. If not I spend all day watching tv or on my iPad. I’m also happiest when I have something to look forward to. I’m enjoying your videos and hubby is watching them now too. (In planning phase of retirement)

You guys are terrific! Your content is so informative, practical, and easy to listen to - I always come away with things I can apply to our newly retired lifestyle. One thing I use in my own life is a sheet of paper I call my "Do Call Go" list. I have three columns titled with each of those words and every time I think of something I need to do, someone I need to call or a place I need to go, I jot it down in the appropriate column. It's been a very helpful way to actually capture those random thoughts when something crosses my mind. I can use the list to help plan and structure my days, I grab it when I leave the house to remember every place I need to go, and then I get that joy (dopamine rush) you talked about when I can cross things off the list and see all I've accomplished.

I am still getting up at the same time, once my actual date comes through I will look for a part time job, sort of not my choice to retire but lousy work supervisors. Money is not the problem
