My husband and I went too KWF 10/17 for our 20 year anniversary. And we had our DT planned for the day of our actual anniversary day. The night before we got a call from the captain of the ferry having engine problem and had to move it till the next day. For the inconvenience they gave us $100 back on our credit card and that paused for another night at Westwind Inn. DT was soooo worth it!!
Your caption is very misleading. It makes viewers think that you had the worst day at the national park. You should consider changing the title to something more appropriate like Trip to Dry Tortugas Cancelled.

Ugh. That's the thing that makes me nervous about planning a trip down there.... Weather.
It does rain often. If the trip is canceled due to weather, you do get a full refund.

We will try again when we can. We did see Biscayne and Everglades while in Florida so the drive was definitely not wasted. Thanks for the sub!

coming from someone who is one of the few people who can get paid to take people to the dry tortugas..... If we say it is bad weather just believe us.
We definitely believed the flight crew that it was bad weather. Still very disappointing. We finally made it to Dry Tortugas! Video coming monday!

Do not give up. I took the 1/2 day Sea Plane trip. It was awesome. So was tent camping at Bahia Honda SP.
We will try again for sure. Just a bummer once we realized we were going to miss our opportunity this year.
Closing campgrounds during Covid was the stupidest thing to do. Like covid was going to jump out of the woods and get you.
