The video shows the miraculous benefits of hanging that happens after repotting adenium plant.Adeniums have a bonsai like look for its massive caudex and bushy canopy. So we, the adenium growers always try to make the caudex more massive and the canopy more bushy. Repotting and pruning are the simple ways of getting massive caudex and bushy canopy. But you`ve noticed adeniums are left hanging in shade for some days before repotting.
Now this video shares with you the benefits of hanging. Duration of hanging depends on the plant`s age, health,caudex size, and temperature in the atmosphere. During the hanging period the plant goes thru fasting that means without any water and nutrient. Moreover it dehydrates water stored in its caudex and the caudex shrinks.
Taking all in all, the desert rose plant neither collects water nor does it stop stored water being dehydrated. It feels a drought like situation where there is no water, no nutrient to survive. After repotting the adenium starts growing feeder roots to collect more water particles
and nutrients. It grows more branches to get more leaves for making food. The shrinked caudex is filled up with water and nutrient. Thus the adenium over comes the situation it was thrown into.
Then miracle starts to happen. The plant starts rapid cell division to expand its storing place ie. caudex to store more water and nutrient for future drought. As a result the caudex expands and the canopy becomes more bushy with more branches.
Now how can we hang? The branches upwards or the roots upwards? dot basecamp tried both but no significant difference is found.

You can but it’s best to prune before hanging. This gives the cut part of the branches time to callous over. I have several videos on Adeniums on my channel if you are interested 👍

Sir, should I prune adenium and hang for aweek before repotting or hang first and prune at the time of repotting. I am in Noida and want to repot this week.

Sir, i treated my plants with fungicide and did root reduction and hanged the plants for a month, now before repotting do we need to dip the plants again in fungicide water or we can pot them directly?
You can pot them directly. If you want after repotting you can water with fungicide water to be extra careful. I hope this helps and if you are interested I have several videos on Adeniums on my channel 👍

Whenever you uproot a plant to repot. How long depends on the plant`s age,health,size, weather etc. It may vary from 3-30 days.

You don’t mention how long to hang it?
No need to hang if you repot once the plant becomes active. The roots are active at that time filling up with water and leaves forming.

He already answered that there is no significant difference in either position.
New adeniums can be purchased just make sure to water sparingly and avoid any pruning and exposure to heavy rain. Also use fungicide.
Sir i just purchased grafted adeniums online and they had been inside the box for 5 days..upon unboxing some of the adeniums have soft caudex..the seller said it's due to dehydration and instructed me to soak them for about 2-3 hrs then i air dry them..i happened to watch your video now so i want to ask if it would be ok if i cut the stems of the adeniums and hang them for more days before repotting in order to develop more stems when i repot them?
No need to cut stems. Repot them in moist soil and keep them in shade for a week. Just keep the soil moist not wet. First let the plants set in new soil and start grow . Then cut stems etc.
