Is there any reason to use your phone’s WiFi hotspot when using Apple Car Play, or is that just for when you’re using the Carluex Air’s native Android platform?
I recently bought this carluex air and unfortunately i don't recommend it. Its slow and buggy. Customer service is non existent. I have emailed them but no reply! Go try your luck with something else.

You are right, there is no need for the hotpsot connection when using Apple CarPlay. Its only when you are using the native Android system
