Not gonna lie, it is very weird and surprising that Yaoling is talking to her mom in Japanese, when they could have use Yaoling's Mandarin dub's portion in this trailer (CH VA's also using Sichuan's accent over there too) and most people talking to their parents in their mother tongue or in a language they used the most. Not to mention Yaoling's JP VA can't speak in Mandarin. It is a fun and wholesome trailer, kinda wish you can get Wonder's CNY outfit for free tho lol
Haha, yeah, I noticed the same thing. I'm guessing they just did it for consistency reasons, using the same VA throughout the video and keeping all the dialogue in the same language. It's a little like how the game itself is set in Japan, but all the dialogue is written in Chinese, I guess? Maybe they thought it would be weirder to suddenly have Chinese dialogue and a different VA in the middle of the trailer. I agree, though, I wish Wonder's new outfit was be free! It looks cool, I'd love to have it, but I'm not going to pay money for it... oh well.
@P5XTranslations I think it still could work by swapping the languages and add the subtitles for the Mandarin parts. Some anime will add subtitles for non-Japanese dialogue. I think it would be better if they can't ask the JP VA to talk in a different language they don't know. I saw someone tried mixing the dubs on Bilibili, and it feels a lot less awkward there lol
@ True! I don't think asking the JP VA to talk in Chinese would be a good solution either, I agree. I guess in the end, I'm just glad they kept in in Japanese because that way I was able to translate it, heh!
Wow, Rin's new outfit looks amazing! It was also nice to see some of the more obscured characters get more time to shine. I hope Reo, Yukimi, and Minami get their own Syngergy Stories in the future.

Minami at least has a side story already, but since they said they're adding a romance route for her, I wonder if that means they're planning to give her a full Synergy later... and I'd always love to see more of Reo and Yukimi!
First It seems contradictory to me Li becomes aware of the Metaverse.. what if she becomes a main character in the plot? She is the only cognitive who does not have a Greek summon. Wonder at least now will not fight in a swimsuit, who knows the changes in powers or other things
I really don't think this trailer means Yaoling is going to learn about the Metaverse, because they've shown the Metaverse in almost *all* of these character trailers, but those characters have never suddenly found out about the Metaverse before. In fact, the Metaverse was also shown in Yaoling's *first* trailer, and it didn't mean anything there, either! I think it's just to show off the new Metaverse outfit, haha. Since Wonder's swimsuit didn't change anything about his combat ability, I doubt the festival outfit will, either. We do know that Lion Dance Yaoling is supposed to be a Fire/Control teammate instead of a Curse/Surrender one, though!
