The government said police and other officials were removing people from tents that first appeared about a year ago on Mount Street in the centre of the capital and moving them into accommodation.

#Dublin #Ireland #Migration #AsylumSeekers
Coming to a country with an acute housing shortage is pretty dumb
Yea, but free stuff is the attraction.
Seeking asylum is not a crime , it is when you enter a country illegally
But USA 🇺🇸 doing a illegal one in gaza war 😮😢
Everyone seems to be seeking asylum, different when there buying 3 bedroom houses before Irish people? How's that make sense
They are just trespassers. Jail and deport!
I doubt all those Irish rebels who died in 1916 would have wanted this future.
I highly doubt they seen this coming. In fact many other countries have same problem! This has all the hallmarks of trying to undermine our respective countries and needs to be dealt with swiftly! Come your next election make this problem a priority and a vote winner for the party who agrees with it!
As a unionist from the north I totally agree
Fought to remove the british, not make room for africa
I don’t remember it ever being legal and ok to camp out on public pavements. If people are breaking laws why shouldn’t they be moved on.
Seeking asylum is not a crime.. Right, then why don't you seek in African countries.. Why Dublin? London?
Why Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Greece??
Why didn’t the Ukrainians seek asylum in Africa ?
Because the Irish laws allows it…that’s why. Don’t like it? Change the constitution.
I might pitch my tent in Mayfair.
Yeah and it'll be gone
with in hours the posh pratts don't want immigrants on there door step
This is all due to the government systematically undermining Irish social housing and enabling predatory landlords. There wouldn't be a migration crisis if there was ample space to live. We have one of the lowest population densities in Western Europe, and we're rich enough to solve these problems easily, but no, the government just wants us to be a tax haven for multinational corporations
You are rich because you are a tax haven...You know that, right?
@@houseplant1016 Yeah, so we should do what sensible countries do in that situation and use that revenue to properly fund public infrastructure, yet we have a trolley crisis in hospitals, a few hundred available properties for a population of millions and a completely overwhelmed civil service. No point being rich if you’re not going to spend it on the right things
@@FabianMacGintyONeill Oh boy, is this how quickly people can forget an economic crisis? Ireland is one of the few countries in Europe that has a surplus this year and won't need austerity. Every European country is having a housing crisis, so don't yourself in the foot twice.
@@houseplant1016 We already have austerity dude. The housing crisis is so severe here that it’s actively impacting the corporate sector that the country relies on for 25% of it’s tax revenue, they can’t recruit and they can’t retain. The reason the government isn’t taking action is because their voting base is disproportionately private landlords and small business owners. I’m not forgetting the 2008 crisis, it was the botched response to that that led us here in the first place. We settled our debts short term but completely failed to invest in future infrastructure
Ireland has too many people, you asked for this.
Out of the tents, into hotels - all paid for by the taxpayer. Thank you Irish government and their enforcers, formerly known as the Garda Siochana.
@@Hugohackenbush Grow up. Ireland has been going through this for years and has already been fleeced. Learn to direct your ire at your own government instead of being happy that another country's government is doing the same. Its that attitude that has made it so easy for the political class to do what they're doing in the first place. Smh.
@@Hugohackenbush You obviously haven't been in Dublin recently
@@Hugohackenbush If you think it's just a few tents mate you're in for a big surprise And it's not just Dublin, in a lot of places the new arrivals outnumber the locals. Usually bussed in in the dead of night
Vote for nationalist candidates on June 7 and in the upcoming general election. It’s the only way to turn this around
Asylum from what? Theres no conflict in these peopls homes, they deliberately disgard papers to avoid deportion
Take back our cities
Which NGO supplied all those tents?
An Israeli one most likely 🤷🏽♂️
I mean, hamas would have used the funds for rockets and food for their human shields
Argos
The Kighthouse. Causing trouble.
Yesterday, 700+ made the trip across the Channel. Imagine if the UK had better weather: 700+ would be making that trip _every_ single day of the year! That’s well over 250,000 unregulated, undocumented people we know nothing about p/y. If you drop a drop of red dye into a bath full of water, it doesn’t show up. If you pour a bucket of red dye into the same bath it changes it instantly forever. There’s much to be said for gradualism.
a year plus... the towns people and the city let this tent village grow for over a year... not sure if i'm impressed on the length of negligence on part of the govt or disappointed... what else is festering under the nose of the govt.
Giving my support from southern California. We have massive homeless encampment all over. Seem like the collective west is headed for a sharp decline.
Thank you. In fact I was just thinking the other day that those streets are beginning to look like something from San Francisco or California. I grew up in Ireland in the 1960s/70s and, even as a poor country when unemployment was rife there, I never saw anything like this.
There Goes the Neighbourhood !
Wait till they start driving taxis in 6 months then our kids will be in danger
Ireland needs to leave the EU and regain sovereignty....YESTERDAY!! ✌❤ set up council watches and look into the paris agreement
Hi🎉❤
Where have they gone been housed already
Possibly hotels or hostels "paid for" by the government (AKA the taxpayer).
There is a very appropriate
saying going back a long
long time
"No use shutting the stable
door after the horse has
bolted"

MURAMBA TSVINA
This should be illegal
The Irish like to quote You cannot extinguish the Irish passion for freedom but you can always put it in a skip and throw it away ?
what`s more important is the Guardian having a comments section, everybody save this it`s as rare as rocking horse poo.
Very different to the UK they would have set up coffee points and free WiFi
Welcome to treasure island, enjoy your free hotel accomodation
Tents now moved from Mt. Street to Grand Canal 400 metres away. They are having boiled Duck for Sunday Dinner…
Why are they wearing hazmat suits as if they have Covid
🤦🏽♀️
Sold out all tents, surprised
Get em sorted folks and shifted it of there
From what i hear in the u.k They've been moved to a hotel.
The more migrants moving from UK to Ireland will strengthen the calls for reunification. If the British can’t control their borders in or out, the only way Ireland can control its borders is to have control of the whole island.
What is happening ? Where do these tents come from ? 😢😓
All these young men . no no no.
Comments are being deleted.
RUclips tends to do that with racist rants
@@OutsiderLabs yeah why do people hate white Europeans so much?
@@OutsiderLabswhat race are these tent dwellers?
It's the guardian and yotuhbe, they dont like sceptics of illegal migrants, funny how they assume we're against legal ones...
Our own homeless dieing on the streets and then they introduce.. please go to rwanda
WHAT THEY ARE NOT IN HOTALS???? SHAME ON THE IRISH GOVERNMENT.
Hotels*
Shame
Illegal entry is shame.
Agreed. Criminals should be deported immediately.
Yes shame on USA 🇺🇸
Might as well move the IP Office to Clare Island with 5G…
dabbling in grugs,,thats why the government finaly acted
Lets hope they gave em somewhere else to sleep…its not like people love inherently sleeping in the gutter that were all scrambling for a spot.
These folks have few if any other plačeš to go, its not a choice to do so moreso circumstances that have forced it. As well we all know its at least better to be ina communal envoronment when things arent going well in life versus solo and alone, so one sees socioeconomically desperate people congregate.
All the best to getting things together and assistance for Ones future flourishing
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Free the campers ! they were simply having a camping party ! such a shame, you don't encourage parties, and people having fun, and building communities
Folding those tents are a pain.
Whr the are not take shelters in neighbor Arabian countrys
🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
Refugees are pure people 😊
Nope. Breaking into my home country makes you an inhuman criminal stealing from my family.
If they are genuine, but most are men who have abandoned their families for the 'easy life here
and how many live with you, oh but sorry i live in a one bedroom flat
Need to build more mosques.
Refugees are welcome here. Ireland is not full
How many live in your home?
Speak for yourself but 80% of the Irish people don't agree with you
Bot
and how many are with you in your accomodation?
@@gavfitzpatrick and where have you gotten this statistic?
It’s as if the Irish aren’t aware that diversity is our greatest strength!?
Diversity is destroying our culture, our heritage, our way of life, our traditions, we are not being given the choice, diversity is being forced upon us. diversity is disguised as progress when it is really international marxism which is the enemy of all the people of Ireland.
Lol OK, curious if satire?
I have no respect for students!
