Listening to Scotty during every bmx event was amazing. Such an enthusiastic commentator
Arbiter Thel 'Vadamee u can tell he loves bmx with such a passion. Even after his accident where most people would of hated bmx after or wanted nothing to do with it he still lives for bmx between his RUclips channel and going to comps. Scotty is the man.
as good as scotty is and I think he is currently the best commentator in x games , "uncle E" is horrible , he makes tons of mistakes , says lots on non sense and is not even on top of saying the scores
Chris Doyle is the worst. How many times did we hear, "Get in there, Doyle!" Like the guy is sleepwalking through his job. I say we get Big Boy in there giving the interviews. How sick would that be?

I had to stop watching the xgames skating portion because of Gary's commentating! The worst I have ever seen in my life!!!
Scotty is amazing. Means a lot to everyone with a life changing injury or illness.. His enthusiasm and knowledge made him the most enjoyable commentator ever..

Scotty better be announcing everything possible until he doesn't want too anymore. You guys would be FOOLISH to not BEG him to come back. Listen to how clearly he explains things. Bias aside, he's the greatest announcer in the history of BMX and he's BMX royalty.
I'm not a big X-Games fan, but I got invested when I saw Scotty commentating. First thing I watched the was BMX Big Air and that drew me in so hard I've watched almost every event for MX and BMX. Scotty was a perfect commentator for the Big Air as well. Whether you knew the hype or not, you could feel it when Scotty went insane (without clipping from yelling so loud because he can control his voice). I hope they keep bringing him back.
I would have enjoyed it even more if you haven't posted the results before the actual contest. Also scotty should be permanent commentator, he's really good at it.

Props to Drew. His crash last year at XGames was nasty and for him to compete this year when he still hasn’t fully recovered is remarkable. Not to mention I met him a few months ago and he was the most humble guy.
I feel like I waited forever for this upload.
I like that Scotty is able to call out when things are opposite, these guys can make opposite tricks look as clean as regular.

Love how Scotties experience in riding makes his commentary so much more fluent than any other. As he can see and know everything going on with the rider on the more subtle level, like the tricks the riders most like, the difficulty of tricks, if he missed a trick you know the rider was looking to do..that kind of stuff. Keep Scottie as a commentator, he's perfect for it.
Gary Young has by far the best lines. Favourite to watch for sure

He's probably there with Matt and Scotty since Scotty is commentating and I think Matty did qualifiers. I know Matty did some qualifiers on the channel at one point but I think that was 2016.

agreed, this is really a bowl contest HOWEVER the judges didn't reward creative and smooth lines through the bowl at all! All they wanted to see were big tricks. Vans cup is a bowl competition and the judges treat it as such.
that was such a close competition towards the end everyone did soo sick, well done to the top 3 and Kevin you was soo close.

Crazy to see how clean these riders have gotten. Back in the day it was sick to see someone land a 540 flare with one foot hitting the ground but now these guys nearly never touch the ground. Friggen insane

Watching this I feel like there is such a big disparity in this group of riders between the guys who ride bmx and the trick robots.
Yup, seen one "trick robot" you've seen em all. Speed and style on the other hand is timeless. These new gen riders seem to forgo style for double/triple tailwhips (yawn).
Scotty needs to co host every year for every bmx event. Hes the best commentator ever. Sad to say bcuz he should still be competing but life sucks sometimes. #standwithscotty

Gets worse every year. The only saving grace about this whole comp was that Gary Young and Larry Edgar managed to make it in, too bad the judging was horrendous though.
And what's with the commentator? Scotty Cranmer is all good but that other guy (Captain Obvious) doesn't have a clue, it's painful to listen to.

Boise Idaho is my town and damn Roads park is an insane park. But i wish they would go to the Eagle Idaho park.
Which one makes it better and why?
Maybe its because of this years course layout but it seems like most of these runs were kind of weak. Tailwhips and flairs after tailwhips and flairs. Nothing we haven't seen before.
We seldom see anything new in the Park and Street courses... In large part because they try to cater to both BMX and Skateboards in the worst way possible for both. For BMX Park it's all about MUH FLOW when it's all about grabs and WHAT CAN YOU BONELESS OFF OF

I agree with you, although i think this course just wasn't big enough for them to get the huge tricks we hope to see.
How in the world did Dennis' run around 37 mins get a 90? Seriously he did more than half just normal airs. I swear the judging is so biased...
