I am a Brit, Australian living in the US. I love Australia, and lived there for 10 years. I was however shocked and very disappointed by how the Australian government treated Australians during covid, particularly Australians like myself, who didn't want to be injected with dangerous untested poisons made by corrupt American criminal pharmaceutical companies.
@@antdavis3843 but your "truth" is just propaganda at the end of the day, think about it for a second why would corrupt corporations want to quote "use untested poisons." Ohh, I'm from Perth. Parents born in England. There are honestly so many brits in Perth, it would easily be the most British city in the country. Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are far more interesting and fun, especially if you're young. But Perth has amazing wages and it's affordable. Some items at the grocery store have different names but if you describe what your after it shouldn't be a problem for a sales person to help you find what you're looking for. After all we with way to much American TV shows and know what your talking about.

The best thing you can do is join an engineering consultancy company in the UK like Jacobs, Atkins, Mott Macdonald. etc and get a couple of years experience then either transfer out with said company or apply to Australian based jobs from the UK. Hi! My husband is a secondary school history teacher. He is finding it difficult to find history specific jobs in WA and it seems to be subsumed under a subject HASS. Do you know if there is many opportunities for secondary school history teachers in WA?
A lot of schools do HASS until senior then they may offer History separately. I'd advise to look to offer history and another subject. It's common in Australia to be able to teach multiple subjects
They choose Perth probably because it is closer to England and the furthest capital away from the rest of Australia! My English born, Aussie raised sister, was shocked at the number of Poms living in Perth when she went to live there with her Aussie husband for his work for seven years.
@@ThatJohnstonLife Yes there are, but considering the small population of Perth, there are a lot of English there. In the 2021 Government Census the top countries of birth in Greater Perth were Australia, then England (169,938), New Zealand, South Africa and Scotland. The top ancestries were English followed by Australia, Irish, Scottish and Italian.
I was one of those head hunted to come to Perth it’s fabulous pity they don’t sort out the red tape of the paperwork! Cost of living is higher here you will spend a lot more on food like 25% at least but gas and electric is cheaper and petrol is cheaper Im no better off being here really

best weather is around Perth in the southwest. Med climate, and not humid. East Coast is good too (around Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast), warmer water, but high in humidity. Perth area is flat with dry vegetation, whilst the East Coast has mountains and is more green.
Aust has a 2500k mountain range. below the range its cooler. above the range is warmer. Tassy and Vic are closer to antarctica. we get an antarctic chill sometimes. but we can cope with it.
Sever. 0.5% vacancy rate. Its absolutely stuffed and the last thing we need is more migrants. So of course the government, who are all landlords, decide we need mass immigration.
I live in W. A. having moved from S. A. 50 years ago. There is everything here that you can find in other states just maybe less in numbers. e.g. 3 instead of 6. It doesn't feel isolated living here because we have it all as well as things and scenery you won't find anywhere else. A great place for bringing up children. W.A. has a very relaxed life style generally and I think the work/life balance is better than the eastern states. Oh yes! about three quarters of us are Australian.
Would appreciate you fixing your map to remove The Republic of Ireland. After being forcibly integrated into the UK it took us many centuries to forcibly remove ourselves. Thanks
Thanks for pointing that out Vincent, as a former perfectionist Geography teacher, I now see the error in my ways. Hopefully the new map is more to your liking
The only spider that can kill you is the funnel web. The horses are the #1 killer in Australia, followed by cattle, then dogs and kangaroos at equal third.
The worst thing about living in Australia would be knowing that you're from the United Kingdom. It must be so weird. You wake up in the morning, you're white and you're on the other side of the planet.
Ik the truth and I still live here the uk is fucked that’s why I wanna move to Australia and all that about the criminal past at the end of the day were all humans and were all equal it’s nothing to do with them as the day to day working man as it is ours everyone is a different individual with different views and I’m racist towards no one and I love how clean Australia is I love the sea life growing up around it like and it hurts me to see them struggling due to rubbish being fly tipped so I’d love to swim with the turtles sharks etc but I’d also love to help save them
Why? W.A. has lots of them! I think it's because the climate is very similar and it's closer to South Africa if they want a trip back. It does take a while for many of them to get used to our Aboriginal people. They are not servants here.

I’m going Perth when I return home to Australia next year, I don’t think they even have radiators out in Perth 😂
I’d make the move but the hoops Oz wants electrician to jump through are ridiculous considering (from what I’ve heard and read) the standards we work to over here (UK) are better than over there
Even fictional characters move from the UK to Perth , there was an episode of Vera recently where Kenny Doughty absence was explained as having moved to Perth.
Hi do you have video how did you get a mortagage process?
Not yet Michelle, but it's on the to do list
You know you're really becoming a local when you use the "just waiting for a mate" clip in your video 🤣
😆 🤣
I’ve watched a lot of your videos on moving to Australia, but could you try make a video on what it would be like to move in your 20’s or for young people! I’ve dreamed about Oz for a long time but there are a lot of aspects that are different to money and jobs that come into play when you’re creating a new rest of your life at a young age
I'll add it to the list Tymes
Check out Molly Thompson on yt. She’s in her 20’s and has moved to Melbourne from UK.
Thank you, this made me laugh out loud more times than any video I have seen in a while! "Australia chance of a lifetime, you get what you work for"
Glad I could make you laugh!
"very few people look down on others" - except our politicians lol
My uncle is a politician in the US, and I 100% agree he is like this. Too bad Australian and American politicians share this trait
They're not real people
We’re not stealing people, people are choosing to come here for the great lifestyle, scenery and weather.
Life choices
Thank you for the reply. Great help thank you
Fly tomorrow to the Gold Coast. Surreal feeling today.
Glad you're enjoying it here
Unfortunately with 43years old without a diploma it's been extremely difficult to moove😢😢😢😢
You're getting good at this 🤣👍
I work on the railway in UK for Network Rail, is there railway jobs out there ?
There are definitely railway jobs here Zack
plenty.
Hello John, got a new mota
Any advice on police officers going across?
You get to learn how to fire a gun
I’m a plumber and my partners a teacher, is it too late to get in on this?
Western Australia is extremely isolated, The UK is centrally located close to many countries
Any help an advice as a nurse with a family looking to move over
They choose Perth probably because it is closer to England and the furthest capital away from the rest of Australia! My English born, Aussie raised sister, was shocked at the number of Poms living in Perth when she went to live there with her Aussie husband for his work for seven years.
There's lots of Poms all over Australia!!
Thanks for the insights
Because it is a better place to live and work.
You're right Steve
Originally from Wales living in Perth WA , trade mechanic / fitter working FIFO $75 per hour , $4000 dollars per week after tax , 7/7 Roster , rent a beautiful apartment in perth $525 per week
Those are great numbers
I build wind turbines offshore in the UK. Wondering if i can get in the mines
@@ryanbell4952Australia Govt has declared its first offshore wind zone in Bass Strait near Melbourne.. 2nd and 3rd offshore wind zones being considered off the Newcastle and the Illawarra ( both either side of Sydney). Would assume there will be great work opportunities in the near future. The Bass Strait one may offer work for Engineers very soon as it will be going into the design phase.
I'm not really sure where all these ppl are gonna live cos we have a huge lack of housing...due to a lack of tradies...but yeah Perth is a pretty sweet place to live 😁
WA IS GREAT. LOVE IT.
As an Australian, cost if living is HIGH.
Same in the UK.
Hi! My husband is a secondary school history teacher. He is finding it difficult to find history specific jobs in WA and it seems to be subsumed under a subject HASS. Do you know if there is many opportunities for secondary school history teachers in WA? 4:24
There are some, but most of the time it is HASS. I was a geography HOD now I teach English full time. The question isn't how much do you love your subject, but how much do you want to live in Australia?
Which part of Australia has the best weather condition? Thank you! A soon to be aussie🙌
It depends on what you prefer. Australia can be so varied
@D G thank you so much for this information and your time for sharing it!👍 Much appreciated!🙏
South West Western Australia
best weather is around Perth in the southwest.
Wait so are you in Western Australia 🇦🇺 because I am
Nope. Brisbane Bro
Oh ok
Is there a housing shortage?
A little apparently
Sever. 0.5% vacancy rate.
Its absolutely stuffed and the last thing we need is more migrants. So of course the government, who are all landlords, decide we need mass immigration.
Very much so. The lowest number of rental properties on the market in 40 years.
Deport a million Chindians and bring in a Brits and saffas instead.
@@advanceaustralia386 maybe you can get out too
Are there Australians living in Perth?
I live in W. A. having moved from S. A. 50 years ago. There is everything here that you can find in other states just maybe less in numbers. e.g. 3 instead of 6. It doesn't feel isolated living here because we have it all as well as things and scenery you won't find anywhere else.
A great place for bringing up children. W.A. has a very relaxed life style generally and I think the work/life balance is better than the eastern states. Oh yes! about three quarters of us are Australian.
They'll probably move out
Would appreciate you fixing your map to remove The Republic of Ireland. After being forcibly integrated into the UK it took us many centuries to forcibly remove ourselves. Thanks
Thanks for pointing that out Vincent, as a former perfectionist Geography teacher, I now see the error in my ways. Hopefully the new map is more to your liking
Except that Irish did not forcibly remove themselves from the UK.
@@advanceaustralia386 I am interested to hear what you mean by that? We had many uprisings and fought a war for our independence.
@@ThatJohnstonLife 👍👍👍👍👍
@@vincentohanlon
What war?
Name a single battle. Let alone a battle the disloyal Irish won.
Australian dentists are about to do big business. 😘
😆 🤣
omg youre ssso rude... ha ha ha
Apart from the snakes & spiders & the sharks, it does seem Australia is far better then the U.K. in every way
Plenty of other things that can hurt you in the UK that worry me
there are more shark deaths in the US each year, and we've had 0 spider fatalities 2001 - 2017
im 67 never been bitten by either.
A gooner? oh shite, and I am a Spurs fan!
I won't judge you
Yeah, we been doing it since 1795.
dunno where they are gonna live..... no houses
Best time to invest in some house builders
Come to Australia, health workers of the world. We have less diseases than up north.
😆 🤣
Half the people in Britain don't want want to be here ,no one's stealing it's called ,I've had enough, give ya head a wobble😂
😄 🤣 agreed
Australia sounded like a good option until I heard about the spiders. Sorry never going
Yeah, they will hunt you down if you live here
The only spider that can kill you is the funnel web. The horses are the #1 killer in Australia, followed by cattle, then dogs and kangaroos at equal third.
Come on you gooners!!!
👍
Here's a thought UK. Pay them more. Treat them better.
Unfortunately it probably won't happen
Oh God, the South Australians and their free settlers ...
Victoria was also a free colony. No transportation.
@@MelbourneLife
Plenty of convicts in Victoria. Just not directly from the UK.
@@advanceaustralia386 Exactly right. A lot of emancipated convicts came across Bass Strait from Van Dieman's Land.
@@MelbourneLife
I was thinking more work gangs sent from NSW. Convict labour was used in Victoria.
Love a history lesson
Jinxed the gunners
All my fault
Nurses would certainly be better out of the NHS!! Just saying 👍
True
The worst thing about living in Australia would be knowing that you're from the United Kingdom. It must be so weird. You wake up in the morning, you're white and you're on the other side of the planet.
lmao this makes no sense
Some people just like to press the keyboard I guess
Easy answer is YES… they come here to “tour” then realise… “why the fuck would I want to live anywhere else?”
Probably the best realisation
What about Austrias extreme Liberal government?
So extreme
you can voice your opinion to kick the labour /green socialists up the backside where they deserve it,.
Ik the truth and I still live here the uk is fucked that’s why I wanna move to Australia and all that about the criminal past at the end of the day were all humans and were all equal it’s nothing to do with them as the day to day working man as it is ours everyone is a different individual with different views and I’m racist towards no one and I love how clean Australia is I love the sea life growing up around it like and it hurts me to see them struggling due to rubbish being fly tipped so I’d love to swim with the turtles sharks etc but I’d also love to help save them
Health is a big " business " $$$$$$
Definitely
wut about yankees that mite want to move there? we ain't part of the commonwealth deal so how is it we mite do it?
You can still get a visa. Loads of Americans do. Message us on Instagram and I can help you find out
The local news in Perth had told about this offer :)

Welcome more immigrants come to Perth, it will make me richer because I am the property owner.
All the properties
I thought people from Uk stole australia
I think the government is trying to give bits of it back
Arsenal will choke. :D
One of us will be right
please steal some south africans
Why? W.A. has lots of them! I think it's because the climate is very similar and it's closer to South Africa if they want a trip back. It does take a while for many of them to get used to our Aboriginal people. They are not servants here.
@@marieravening927
Abos are too lazy to work as servants.
if they have the high qualificatioins were asking for.
😂😂😂😂
😆
Poms stay were you are we dont want ya
So helpful
As an Australian, Come, we have nice blue 💙 skies most of the years.
. O no not the poms
Lol
Ya goofy m8te from Australia 😆
Bloody Poms
Hate the place.
What is the UK gonna do about that? 😂Lol
Nothing
forcing the australian accent
I'll try harder next time
Australian here. The most honest advice I can give you is don't move to Australia.
Some people are too honest
Who cares? Wa isnt realy part of Australia. Stay away.
😆 🤣
😂 does this mean we can keep the billions of dollars we send to the less fortunate eastern states?
@@Fish29077 Except that coal has taken over AGAIN as Australias big export dollar earner now iron ore has slumped back to realistic levels. Other states now make more than WA as they have historicaly. WA has gone bankrupt twice in the last 20 years and has had to be bailed out by the East. A fact that most lollypops in WA dont know. I personaly think the East should just let WA go bust again and just let it go. Just like how WA wants it. The Chinese could just mine it out and then use it as a garbage tip.
Excellent video👍👍🎯
From my experience,we have it SO good here.
Our lifestyle & our stunning landscape & waters.
Our indigenous culture & history😎
Our wildlife is another huge bonus.
The UK is bloody picturesque indeed & the poms are fantastic, but living there 🤔.. yeah nah thx.
