I always want the side of the bed closest to the bathroom.
I wouldn't like that verandah either because yes, it will get very warm in the summer months in the Caribbean; and everything get wet from all the condensation.

We agree! They're among our favorite staterooms across all cruise lines.

Great video! I will be doing concierge class on Edge for a transpacific cruise later this year. I checked out the price online for giggles only. Was shocked that it was LESS $ than infinite veranda as you stated in the video happens sometimes. So I booked it & will enjoy the extra points benefit because all other perks seem like an absolute JOKE 😂😂

    • @JamesandJase
      @JamesandJase  8 месяцев назад

The extra points per night is really where the value is at. Glad you found it for cheaper than an infinite veranda room. I hope you have a great cruise! Transatlantic and transpacific cruises are our favorite!

Going on Appex 14 nights in aqua class, it was more expensive, however you do get to eat in Blue and in our case the OBS pretty much covered the difference /additional cost between the 2 categories, like yourselves, i was chasing the points to push us into elite 🤷😁

We really want to do Aqua class sometime soon, just waiting for the right price. The extra amenities you get, including the additional restaurant, really seem worth it. Hope you have a great cruise!

I would not pay for this, but my travel agent had group booking discount rooms here where I got the all inclusive package on concierge for less than a standard veranda room. Then it’s a good deal!

Thanks for the tour. My husband and I fly to Barcelona in 6 weeks to board the Ascent for a 12 day Mediterranean cruise. Can’t wait. I did see in another video there is a USB charger in the phone 😮.

Nice breakdown. We were on the Ascent this past week. It's good to know us poor folk in regular infinite veranda rooms did not miss out on much. We also had robes and same shower head. Was your room considered obstructed view with the overhang? We were on 8th floor. Looks like you would miss out on some sky views, especially at night. Fun video. Thanks for sharing your experience!

The same robes AND shower head??? And here I thought we had something special 😂 just kidding. No, I don't think our room was considered an obstructed view! Thank you! Hope you had a great cruise

We got off Edge here in Australia and went concierge class. Like you we didn't think much of it. The canapes were lack luster; the lunch was not very good for us and we found the ship confining compared to say Quantum class RC. We won't be going on Celebrity again I think.

    • @JamesandJase

We were on Anthem of the Seas last year and we really liked how much there was to do on the Quantum class ships! We also love the Oasis class ships.

@@JamesandJase We only have Quantum class down here currently. Quantum of the Seas is leaving us next year for good. No word on which ship is being sent downunder! Hopefully an Oasis Class! 🙂

Hi, thanks for your 😮video! We are going on the Ascent in the few days. What app you need to have To stream the content onto the tv in the room from your mobile device? Do you need a WiFi on your phone, iPad for streaming?

Just got off the Apex a few weeks ago..... Everything you are saying is what we experienced and then some. We had a booking on the Beyond for Feb next year, as soon as we got home, we canceled. Not a fan of Celebrity

Disappointed to hear that you had a bad experience on Celebrity! While we weren't impressed with Concierge Class we do like Celebrity overall.

This review is very similar to lots of others I've seen about concierge class. Doesn't seem worth it. The only thing I would add is that I've seen there IS a usb/usb-c connection on the side of the bed with the telephone - it's actually on the phone itself. So I guess they felt that is the option for connections on that side of the bed?

I read your comment before I watched them and looked out for the negativity, but I think they were fair with their criticism. They did like some things and found some things problematic. We did a concierge class and never knew where to find them or what to ask for. Didn't know about the embarkation luncheon.
The boys are right about the uselessness of this particular class. Our next cruise with Celebrity is also concierge because it was the last verandah left. For the added expense, I doubt we'll get any real value.
Didn't know about the points, maybe that'll be good if we travel more with Celebrity. We are elite with Princess and know the perks with that, but all said and done, the dining room food is brilliant on both.
