Read the book and now I can not stop thinking about it. Love the song and the fact that it is one of the song the boys played on the phone. Thanks for recommending the book to me, really enjoyed it.
Hi Catkin, were now 3 years later from when I posted my stupid comment. About two years ago, I remembered to read the book after seeing the movie again, and I became immediately obsessed with both the book, the movie, and especialy Kirsten Dunst, who I found to be the most beautiful woman in the world. thinking about it now, that was a pretty intense time of my life where I was feeling sad and I just couldn't put the Lisbon sisters out of my head,
Hey!The last bit of your slideshow (you know the one blacknwhite)is really nice. But its more a hommage to Kirsten Dunst it doesn't tell the people something about the film(and her role in it).But it's still well done!
@thecatkin Hello now I read the book and saw the film and became addicted to it. I love Kirsten dunst, she's perfect. It is so tragic that she and her sisters commited suicide.
The film (and book) is entitled "Virgin Suicides", not "Virgin Murder Suicide". And it's for a reason! =) Try reading the book, by the way. It's really really good.
Firstly, you'd have to watch it in this terrible quality and in some 15-17 parts; and secondly, it would get deleted in no time (due to copyright violation), and the user would probably get suspended. So you'd better just buy it or download it from torrents =)
Hunnish? You may put somebody in an ethnic group (like Germanic Europe, to which belongs Germany, UK, Scandinavia etc.) but not in a racial one. That often seen connection between German and hunnish, the Huns etc. was a misunderstanding that came from a speech by the last German Emperor Wilhelm II. plus a mistake translating the German "Gott mit uns" (God with us).
ohhh now i know what she/he meant...i thought it was like a illegal downloading thingy like limewire...srry that i don;t know english as well as you( a native apeaker) english is my second language
I don't think I understand that, either. Trip could never really explain that to anyone. He used to adore Lux, thought the world of her, he almost worshipped her, but after that sex he just left, he couldn't even say why. It must have been his past habits that played that trick on him.
He never had to fight for girls, seduce them, conquer them - and maybe after what happened on the football pitch he felt as if from that moment on it would always be like with any other girl, boring and predictable. Maybe he didn't want to lose that feeling he had about her when she wasn't his. I believe that it's Trip's experience with girls that we should blame.
We don't know exactly why they killed themselves, everybody is free to make their own suggestions about the reasons. Mind you, their father wasn't strict, he just couldn't stand against his wife.
He got spoilt by women, spoilt for their attention and adoration; it had to backfire some time, and it did. Lux used to be so special just because she was the only one who ignored him, and the moment she gave herself to him, for him she became just the same as everyone else.
she was so pretty in ths movie, saw a picture of her the other day and she has aged so much. maybe it's all them cigs she smokes, smokes takes ur beauty away.
I contemplated suicide when I was a teenager via medicine OD, but I chickened out. There were other girls my age in the neighborhood that actually made attempts that way. I think what I really wanted then was euthanization but you can't really do that on a person that's not really suffering from anything serious so I had no options. : /
i used to work with a beautiful ukrainian girl that looked a lot like her (better, if anything :0), and i would do anything in the world to be with her. i was 20 when i knew her and she was 26. its been 3 years and im about to be 23. crap!

It's "Dear Prudence" by The Beatles
Did J Dilla sample this? Sounds like it....love this song!
I'm not sure if Wikipedia is correct, but if it is,then Kirsten is 29,not 30.it says that she was born in '82
Is this song by the Jonas Brothers? It sounds pretty good...
yeah, i think you're right. thanks for the advice =)
Read the video description in the top right corner, right next to the yellow "Subscribe" button.
utterly and completely correct u r!!!! well from my perspective anyway
"Dear Prudence" by The Beatles.
@Loveblessing1 Dear Prudence by The Beatles.
Of course I do, I'm russian =) I think I still know most of that poem by heart =)
Now you should read "Middlesex" by the same author. I loved the Virgin Suicides, but I liked Middlesex even more.
It is the authors only two novels.
Are you joking?! That was my first ever video, I made it in Windows Movie Maker =)
This has been sampled!! Don't know who!!
No problem =) Btw, are you russian?
jup you're right, i'm gonna read the book

@ggrondita dear prudence by the beatles
what´s the song´s name??
What do you mean, again?
What's the song? :-)
It's not Lennon, it's Beatles. Although it is Lennon doing the vocals.
I don't think I understand that, either. Trip could never really explain that to anyone. He used to adore Lux, thought the world of her, he almost worshipped her, but after that sex he just left, he couldn't even say why. It must have been his past habits that played that trick on him.
@Relda999 Or maybe it's because she's almost 30
@XXThrashtera88XX It was suicide, so yes, it was on purpose. Try reading the book! It's even better than the film.
what is torrents
Kirsten es hermosa y simpática...por mas que la quieran poner entre las mas feas de Hollywood...saludos.
Did Lux killed her sisters? She was the last to die..
She's 17 or about it, in this movie, but looks younger.
@skipp10467 30 is still young though.
We don't know exactly why they killed themselves, everybody is free to make their own suggestions about the reasons. Mind you, their father wasn't strict, he just couldn't stand against his wife.

Thank you but it isn't really about Kirsten Dunst, it's about Lux Lisbon - but hey, most straight men of that town had a crush on Lux =)
she was so pretty in ths movie, saw a picture of her the other day and she has aged so much. maybe it's all them cigs she smokes, smokes takes ur beauty away.
I contemplated suicide when I was a teenager via medicine OD, but I chickened out. There were other girls my age in the neighborhood that actually made attempts that way.

@radiation500 Nah, not me...
Ah, thank you (although I don't agree) =)
It's not much to do with Kirsten Dunst, it's more about Lux Lisbon you know =)
Is anybody suffering from Melancholia?.. 'cause yesterday, watching that original film, some people around me were.. =).. ihihi
don't get me wrong im a big,big ,big jonas brothers fan but in no way do they compare to the beatles
Haha, that was easy =) Your nickname =)
Report lux.
i used to work with a beautiful ukrainian girl that looked a lot like her (better, if anything :0), and i would do anything in the world to be with her. i was 20 when i knew her and she was 26. its been 3 years and im about to be 23. crap!
Ha-ha. Actually, I'm not a native speaker, I'm Russian.
@wwwtotalitaerde Warst Du eigentlich schon mal in ärztlicher Behandlung, Kumpel?
I think she looks kinda Flemish...
Ouch.

Yeah, I don't think she is. She is beautiful, that means a lot more than being hot.
