Yeah...but probably they were on their way to independence even if Hitler would have hated them in a less organised way, kind of like what he did to a lot of Slavs. Maybe wouldn't have been as strong as it is.

1:19:49 this is THE WOLF OF WALL STREET the exact plot, after Belfort goes to that small plaza. Ari or Tim didn't make the connection, yes Wolf was wall and stocks, Tim was main street mortgage.
This is hands down the best time Tim Dillon has ever been interviewed. You get to relive his life through his answers and it’s hilarious the entire time. Him and Ari are on the same wavelength.

Rutherford B.Hayes pledged not to run for a second term and his (almost) succesor Chester A.Arthur didn't run either. But Arthur was elected as vice president so it was a surprise that he became president (unlike the reverse situation nowdays, where people don't really expect the president to run for a second term and plans are probably made with the VP in mind). So Hayes was the real deal (until you find out that he stopped Reconstruction, even though he supported it...if you think politics are complicated now...). So not really duel days in the 1870s and 1880s...
Sounds like the key is to get in on the big money making and expect the system to crash. Hold off on spending until everything crashes and capitalize on it. Also to not do drugs.

I miss old broke AF Tim. I love rich and famous Tim too but he was at his finest when he was in the struggle like the rest of us.
I love the juxtaposition of such a slender, hetero guy, and Ari Shaffir.

He constantly voices his support for universal healthcare so he definitely is not.
He’s not conservative at all.
He wants basic healthcare for everyone for CHRIST SAKE! And even then the conservative party is much more moderate compared to 20 years ago.
