My Dad always love bucks specially this year and model if I had the money I buy it right now it would bring back a lot of memories of me my dad going to car show 's just to look at the old cars and when he saw a old Buick his eyes would light up and big smile be on his face GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Nice 4 dr 56 Buick & $12,000 is a good price. Back in 1979 I bought a '56 Buick Special Convertible in mint condition for $3,700. I kept it til 1982 I wished I still had it. I went to work at a used car lot in 1981 the owner I worked for bought my Buick for $3000 & he gave me a 46 Chevrolet pick up truck I wanted. I got the better end of the deal because the 56 Buick was falling apart by then the gauges stopped working & the trunk hinge broke. Still I loved that car.
My parents owned a 55 Century, bought off the showroom floor and finally sold it in the mid ‘80’s. Brings back lots of memories, the cool Buick Speedo, the floor the pedal start, theirs had the wonder bar radio, machined dash, the smooth dynaflow with a screaming Lo gear, the smooth highway ride - these Buicks felt like they rode on a cloud at 70mph and yes, the vacuum wiper motor. Oh yeah, memories of my mom cranking the steering wheel in parking lots. Lots of cranking for slow maneuvers.
My grandfather had one of these beautiful cars and never drove it. He was a chemical engineer and very wealthy. He did have a driver however who’s name was Allen. I remember him because he used to take my sister and me on what he would call “ buggy rides” around the curvy hilly roads of Kennet Square PA. This was before the seatbelt was a thing of concern. After this car he bought a Rolls Royce that was nice but I always missed the old Buick. You can’t replace the love of your first experience.
For this 56 Buick Special has gone though the test of time and all the great comments from all the brothers, they see a great classic like I do. Lovely it all the way and that is no doubt in my mind and many others.
Nick, hard to believe that car is 68 years old! For $12k, that Buick looks like a lot of fun. You could take it to local car shows on the weekends. Buff that paint out, clean under the hood, hang a sign on it - For Sale $15k firm, and somebody will get the checkbook out. Just a fun driver.
Love that Buick my Dad had a 55 Special 2 door hardtop I was 13 years old then another unique feature of those cars the Dynaflow did not shift it was smooth.
Cool old classic we had a 55 buick special 4 door hardtop when I was a teenager we called it BMFB. Today it would make a great car to take the whole family to a car show and teach the teenagers how to drive.
My buddy got one from his grandfather and it only had 25thousand miles on it that was in 76. It drove so smooth we loved cruising that car nobody had one It was black thanks for the ride. Big ups from so cal.
Back in the 50s government had no say in auto industry it was the best time in American production.Cheap to fix everything on it was made in America.Love the late 50s cars.
This car is really really nice. It’s very quiet and it’s apparent that this was somebody’s baby car. They took very very good care of it and I wish I had the money to get it because I definitely would I like the way rides in as smooth and quiet as it going down the road. Oh well you take care and thank you for sharing really like this car👍❤️🤠
It's certainly NOT Buick quiet. Get rid of those cheap cherry bomb mufflers and replace with original style and you wouldn't even hear that thing running. They do nothing for the car's performance without any engine breathing mods to go with them and just make the thing growl when it shouldn't as a Buick of that generation. An easy peazy fix to return it to it's old glory.
My Uncle Casey had this same car in a different color. I remember riding in it. It's time to run out and buy a lottery ticket. I would love to own this type of car. Cheers...
For a lot of original patina and everything working, besides the wipers being silly😅 who cares, for only $12,900 this thing should sell very fast, a car that is almost 70 years old. Unbelievable. And the color combination omg

Even with two too many doors this would be a cool ride to have!!! 👍
Nothing wrong with having 4 doors. I treat them the same as other classics

55 Buick 4door looks amazing see so many Tri-5 Chevy's from same era but styling of mid 50s Buick or Oldsmobile is beautiful.

Love that 56 Nick if I had the money I would be down there in a heartbeat and drive that beauty home.

Wipers might run off vacuum
I had a 56 Chevy Bel Air with vacuum operated wipers. They acted just like these wipers.
I would love for that car to be my first classic
That '56 never dreamed it would live long enough to hear Miley Cyrus singing Flowers out the radio 😅

He will sooner r later he can only do so many only one person
No power steering, one of the reasons people back in the day were more healthy than we are LOL
Didn't you you think that it could have an air pocket in the tank that's probably why no fuel is going in or you could be right who knows bro 😹
