Put a 6-12” extender on the hitch to move the motorcycle away from the truck bed. Still holds the same tongue weight

Hi Scott. Thanks again for all your videos. I'm finally starting to build mine. Well, sort of. I cut out a cardboard template for the front wall, and part of a side wall to see how high i want to go above the cab.
    Question.
How did you deal with the plastic trim corners in the front, that curve Does the whole box of the camper sit behind the curve or above it? Do you have any pictures of how it looks sittng on the truck? Sort of hard to tell from the video. I want to rest my side overhangs on the side rails.
    Thanks
    😃

You bet! This if my hobby and I really enjoy it! Yeah, I'm not a fan of that little curve, but I've gotten around it by increasing the height of the camper sides by about 1", so it lifts above that little curve.

If the camper is 12inches wider then the box does it block the view of the mirrors when you check traffic behind you?

Good question! It actually doesn't. The mirrors sit below the camper so I have a pretty good field of view behind me!

@@ScottsMiniCampers I watch all the videos you posted on this topper build and I was impressed with what you have done One more question did you use 1/2 or 3/4 inch plywood on this project. ?

@@georgemoorcroft6835 Thank you! I use 3/8" plywood for the majority of all my builds to be lightweight and strengthen it with split 2x3's.
