Gaming Warlord The truck thing is probably Optimus Prime as Linkara has probably at least reviewed some Transformers comics and the Amazons is (probably) a reference to Amazons Attack.
The best thing I can say about the “Team Supreme,” is that Brick is at least a little nuisanced: He’s the biggest, burliest guy on the team, but seems to be the smartest, or at least has an interest in intellectual pursuits (namely finances and tax law). Also, why would the machine work on the rest of the Kickers like it did on Jack? And why would he think it would when the machine didn’t affect any other subjects like it did him. Heck, Darline was apparently unaffected by the White Light Event, and he would know that because they were together when it happened!
7:51 - You didn't notice that "athletes" was misspelled as "atheletes," Linkara? Eh, probably couldn't lead to a funny joke anyway. 12:39 - Also, clearly the white light event gave Jack the soul of a Joestar, and the weird genetic modifier unlocked the Joestar gene within him, turning him into a 195 cm giant.

Target Cube Productions patience. If you follow any of his other work (including the saturday night livestreams) you'll know that storylines are coming back soon
All the names of the Kicker members sound like parody superhero names. Especially Brick Wall: my first thought was a literal brick wall as part of a superhero team.
Wait...so Jack presumably got his super powers due to a combination of the white light event and the machine affecting him. Apparently Jack's brother, who is a scientist and knows his own machine, tried to replicate Jack's condition with his other patients and failed. However Jack, who is presumably not a scientist and presumably does not know his own brother's machine, somehow uses the machine to give his wife and his teammates super powers?
That title card could be reused for the upcoming swimsuit special episode, just with a few seasonal modifications. Maybe a smiley-faced sun of some sort.
Funny story, I actually read a comic (don't remember the company, but I'm going to say probably not DC, Marvel, or Dark Horse) that had a super powered sports team... for Nascar.
You know what’d be kinda cool? They’ve been thinking of bringing back/rebooting the Ultimate Marvel Universe. What I think they should do is combine Ultimate with the New Universe. Have random people get powers by the White Light event, but it’s all versions of Marvel heroes, or even have new people gain the powers of Marvel’s hero’s.
It saddens me that the New Universe stuff is better remembered for meme-worthy trash like Kickers Inc than for the relatively well written DP7 (which explored a lot of the themes of the X-Men books better than they did) or the metaplot involving Star Brand (even if I wasn't a big fan of where Byrne took the latter series).

In 2009, Warren Ellis lost his story files in a computer accident; he subsequently announced that the project is "basically dead".
In the end, he did review The Lamps
I love the weird al song you used
10:39 I suspect Snowflame would have take issue with that…
Now that i think about it we have seen coins and robots but when are we going to see the truck driving Amazon's
Gaming Warlord The truck thing is probably Optimus Prime as Linkara has probably at least reviewed some Transformers comics and the Amazons is (probably) a reference to Amazons Attack.
@@shadowldrago US-1.
Amazons AND trucks. =)
I would not be surprised to see Amazons in an issue of US1
@@shadowldrago i get that but in the main story I mean
"Of course we will be called The Lamps..." guess it was inevitable that linkara would review lamps eventually...am I right?
As goofy as this was, the Ron Frenz art was sweet as always.
I have been watching a lot of HOPR reacently
Same here
Wonder what his thoughts on ninja steel is.
Cameron Heaton his HOPR on that is coming out in May.
@@AnimatedIdiotGuidethank you
The best thing I can say about the “Team Supreme,” is that Brick is at least a little nuisanced: He’s the biggest, burliest guy on the team, but seems to be the smartest, or at least has an interest in intellectual pursuits (namely finances and tax law).
Also, why would the machine work on the rest of the Kickers like it did on Jack? And why would he think it would when the machine didn’t affect any other subjects like it did him. Heck, Darline was apparently unaffected by the White Light Event, and he would know that because they were together when it happened!
20:21 At last! we have Linkara's long awaited lamps review!
How appropriate. An ad for Shazam! during a comic book review.
When can we see the return of the CoC storyline?
I read the first issue of 7 of these 8 series (never owned Spitfire) way back when they came out, but kinda want a collection of all of them

I know it's the wrong company, but I'm holding out hope that Doll is actually Ragdoll from Secret Six, he's the best.
10:19 i think it was supposed to imply he stole money from his brother to make his business but i could be wrong on that.
The only thing I've read from the New Universe line is DP7 (and only the first few issues) but honestly I really enjoyed it, the weird powers along with drama was great :)
Oh my God! I have almost all of the star brands somewhere (of the original run) and it's actually a really neat series!
WHERE IS THE STORY!? sorry, I just... i miss it. What's mechakara up to huh... is pilo gonna win...?
Target Cube Productions patience. If you follow any of his other work (including the saturday night livestreams) you'll know that storylines are coming back soon
"Pilo?"
You mean Pollo?
Autobot Starscream no, Pilo as in Pilo Rocks, the greatest competitor in the Contest of Champions
Ooh! Savage Dragon is next? Cool!
Guess Linkara is still watching Jim Sterling regularly.
That title card could be reused for the upcoming swimsuit special episode, just with a few seasonal modifications. Maybe a smiley-faced sun of some sort.
Funny story, I actually read a comic (don't remember the company, but I'm going to say probably not DC, Marvel, or Dark Horse) that had a super powered sports team... for Nascar.
I guess they were so boring that they even need a superhero team.
Wait the smashers, THIS IS THUNDERSTRIKE, this isn’t the new universe after all
wait, New York Smashers? This the same team promoting that health club woman from Thunderstrike number 1?
Not a Superbowl Shuffle comment instead of We are the World? I mean best vaguely related football song
The New York Smashers were brought into Earth 616 in the Thor series of the late eighties and early nineties.
20:19 Finally, we get to see Linkara get back to what he specializes in. LAMP REVIEWS
It sounds like there was something there.... but at the last second they said "Screw it. Close enough"
The only new universe book I’ve read is star brand . Dose the new universe ever do marvel team up like stories?
It saddens me that the New Universe stuff is better remembered for meme-worthy trash like Kickers Inc than for the relatively well written DP7 (which explored a lot of the themes of the X-Men books better than they did) or the metaplot involving Star Brand (even if I wasn't a big fan of where Byrne took the latter series).
