Amber is a party animal. Drugs, drink, sex, this is common in ppl who love to party and will often have many partners of dif sex. Not the same as a swinger, but more of its a good time and that is all. After watching the whole trial, I see nothing connecting her to the same life patterns or personalities of bi or not ppl. While I am a strait male, I support all, as we are all equal in all ways. Amber holds her self above all, and calling her self a rep to the community is putting her self above them all as well. Amber isnt bi, she parties, has fun, enjoys the interaction, and only keeps a partner to make her self feel loved when not partying. This is common in that same since. Nothing about this case was regarding AH's sexuality. It was *everything* to do with her lies and manipulation. I'm bi and bisexual people don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush as her behaviour, which is of an ABUSER not a sexual preference. I hope the "DV has no gender" message that is now starting to get a voice, also helps abused people in same sex relationships. My nephew is a social worker who specialises in DV in same sex and trans relationships. He has to be there because the police don't take it seriously. He has told me of too many examples, too many times, that people in same sex relationships, and especially trans people have had nowhere to go to escape, because of the ignorance of the public in general, including the police. I really hope this makes it better for them. And Happy Pride everyone.

I wondered the same thing..but I think the more he ignores her the better. also, I think it would be a good move on his part to waive the awarded settlement (since she clearly cant afford it) and then donate to the organizations what he would have been awarded.
They didn't prove him innocent, necessarily. Please remember this was a defamation case NOT an abuse case. Yes, they jury found her words had malice and no they did not believe her claims but that doesn't mean he was found innocent. It just means Johnny's team successfully seeded enough doubt within Amber's claims that they sided with Johnny over her.

@fauxpinky don’t let anyone pile more shame onto shame. Best recourse is for you, your peers and allies, and the community to continue being the best representatives possible so you can lay it forward to others who need more insight and compassion. We can’t control anyone else’s action (or claims as to how they truly self-identify) the only thing you can do is show what a bada$$ lesbian looks like! Social media could be a wonderful outlet (if you can ignore haters) like you’re doing by getting your voice out there, showing the diversity and beauty of your community and if/when possible, educating others. Clearly ppl need to understand why sexuality matters to who you are and the everyday decisions you make, any struggles being out may cause, and the good stuff you can derive from those experiences.
I study culture and for decades, this was the top question for race. It still is, but I’ve seen the harsh rhetoric and willingness to spew despicable comments skyrocket, as if the community doesn’t count as much as other people….much lake how Black citizens only got a fraction of their vote counted, or how my status as a stage 4 cancer patient relegated me to the sick and old box so why should people wear masks or get vaccinated if it’s just ppl like me who will day (not knowing I have 3 small kids and was diagnosed at 37). So, I hope like you, I get out their and positively represent my community, showing what I contribute to my family, work, and people. If not for me, maybe it’ll help others who identify with a community without a choice in the matter (not to compare the 2 especially in terms of wishing you a long, healthy, happy life)!

Johnny's lawyers need to file a gag order on her, because she's never going to stop trying to make him look like the bad guy, and her lawyers to. They just won't be accountable for there lies and manipulations. She will continue to drag Johnny through the mud until they do file it on her.

As a Survivor, I was shocked in the beginning when allegations came out, and of course would support the victim. When UK verdict came in, I thought it must be true. But then I caught a clip of AH and JD recording and listened to how AH was talking to her alleged abuser. I knew she was lying. Real survivors know you would never talk to your abuser that way, unless you wanted to die.
So glad JD fought this and won.
Remember to always gift your abuser a large knife.
Those were my exact thoughts too. I’m so glad I was able to see the trial as have been in a relationship with DV and I can honestly say that the recording of her took me back 35 years and it was like going through it again and like you I know you don’t even speak back because you’ll be setting yourself up for worse and more. AH has never been abused in my opinion because it’ll stay with you for life, you spend your life walking on eggshells with everyone.

I always find myself most entertained by the villains of any story. Keep going Amber! I want to see what other mad dufus'ery she might get up to, she seems to be on a roll right now and the attention she is receiving is probably more than she has ever received, even much more than she received for her forgettable and easily replaceable role in Aquaman, this is where the world is actually paying attention to the character of Amber Heard, and I think she might be loving it and having a ball with all the attention, even negative attention she is receiving. She might not be the protagonist of the story, but she is definitely the one that I'm most interested in watching and is providing the most hate-watching entertainment value to most people. Like an episode of Columbo, we're waiting to see when this crook might finally be stopped from just going on a rampage. This case and result did not stop her defamation efforts and doubling down on her blatant lies, now her smear campaign has gone all out in the most overt way, and it isn't going to stop, she is fueled by the attention, and she is milking it like crazy. I wonder if it will ever settle down without something very dramatic occurring. Because she is a literal psycho-villain, she may have even hired people to take the life of her perceived enemies now.

The clear abuser lost, this should be a celebration for the survivors of DV because he won against the person who abused him. I almost fell over when SHE said on the stand (not the doctor) that the doctor said she had a lot of scar tissue in her nose (the scar tissue which btw, is congruent with having had 2 nose jobs). That might be the most pathetic of all her claims. And I felt personally insulted at that point, that she thought anyone would take it as evidence of abuse.
AH's condescending arrogance, deception and contempt was so transparent. I can't believe they put her on the stand twice.
I'm guessing Amber was running the show and her lawyers had no say about it.
My theory is that when Johnny went on the stand as a rebuttal witness she couldn't STAND him having the 'last word' and insisted on being a rebuttal witness as well. This was a trap for Amber and she fell for it.

People claiming misogyny in this case are unreal. There were prominent lawyers on both sides who were women, there were women on the jury, the judge was a woman. Give me a break! “The Root” a media outlet tried to rally black women indirectly behind AH as well with arguments that kind of mirrors the Gay/Bi sexual talking points in their post. This seems to me like certain people want to maintain the status quo of “believe all women” and I believe it has nothing to do with actually believing victims but have more to do with maintaining their “war machine” that they use to punish certain men or people that they want to keep in line.

I’m so tired of hearing people say that this is a “huge set back” for the DV survivor community! It is NOT! And they DO NOT speak for me!!! Johnny Depp is a DV survivor and he won! This is a great step FORWARD for the DV survivor community as it shows the world that DV survivors have NO GENDER so men can be victims too! It’s NOT just us woman!
I’m tired of it! This has nothing to do with all woman or all men. This has nothing to do with gender-and to say it does is the very thing that’s actually misogynistic!!! Now after watching the trial as well as watching mountains of evidence (including all details of UK trial) that was never allowed in (sadly)…I know without a doubt that Johnny Depp is a victim of DV and Amber was the abuser! Period! He (like myself) was ashamed to admit this at first. I can only imagine it was even harder for him to admit as a man-just because of what society says men need to be-there’s a double standard there! There just is! SCOTUS is to rule if the issue in front of them abides by the Constitution or not...that's it. Not feelings or opinions, but what is written in the Constitution. If you need clarity as to what the writers meant while writing an Amendment, you can go to the Library of Congress, online, and read the original Federalist papers...for free. And yes, Justices should not lean "right" or "left" they need to lean on the Constitution, and Constituion only, and not be activist from the Bench.

Yeah, freedom of speech doesn't extend to using that freedom to cause harm to people or their property, but currently there are literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions or more, liars and criminals spread across the world, who can't be identified or caught, corrected or contained, who are spreading malicious lies against their perceived competition or enemies in order to ruin their lives or even get them harmed by others, and people tend to just take it as "better safe than sorry" and automatically avoiding anyone who receives any of these false rumors circulating about them or their conduct by jealous enemies who often remain anonymous too, and sometimes reveal their identity but offer little to no proof, yet are still believed. It is extremely dangerous for everyone, and most normal people can not fight attacks like these, so for bad people and criminals, it is one of their easiest and lowest risk tools to try to use against their enemies first.

With Actual Malice is a legal term which means she knowingly made false statements, or made statements without any concern for whether they were actually true or not. The Jury also found that the statements made by Johnny Depp's lawyer were made With Actual Malice, even though they are more than likely true, and the reason for that is that the lawyer didn't have enough proof that the friends were entirely part of staging a hoax, even though they probably were.
So, Rottenborn wanted to turn this into an issue regarding the constitution in his last efforts to try to salvage or save the case, while funnily enough contradictorily saying that the statements of Depp's Lawyer were defamatory and should not be protected as freedom of speech lol which is just a ridiculous and contradictory argument like so much of the hypocritical stuff coming from Amber's clown rodeo.
